Geneva Audrey Keatley, 75, of South Eberhart Road died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1926, in Matoaka, W.Va., she was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Effie Shrewsberry McKinney.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Keatley was a volunteer for the Red Cross at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ken (DeAnna) Amerman of Candor, N.Y., and Mrs. Dennis (Beverley) Marshall and Mrs. George (Brenda) Shockey, both of Butler; two sisters, Hester Porterfield of Princeton, W.Va., and Joyce Wick of Titusville, Fla.; a number of nieces and nephews; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Bill L. Keatley; a brother; and three sisters preceded her in death.
KEATLEY - A private visitation and funeral were held at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME for Geneva Audrey Keatley, who died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002. The Rev. Dennis Krajacic officiated. Burial was at Butler County Memorial Park.

John H. Kennedy
John H. Kennedy, 87, of LaPorte, Ind., formerly of Ruskin, Fla., and of Gibsonia, died Sunday at the LaPorte Hospital after an illness.
Born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 2, 1915, he was a son of John Quincy Adams Kennedy and Hazel Gass Kennedy.
He was the former owner of Kennedy’s Tavern in Gibsonia, which currently is called The Pine’s. He had lived in Florida for 30 years and recently moved to LaPorte.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Weaver; a son, Jack Kennedy, and a daughter, Maureen Bagdon, both of McKees Rocks; a step-son, William DeLong of Delaware; two step-daughters, Brenda Smith of LaPorte and Pamela Pahs of Michigan City, Ind.; a sister, Helen Nowicki of Monroeville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
KENNEDY - Friends of John H. Kennedy, who died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
Marion Lotz Bicehouse
Marion Lotz Bicehouse, 76, of Callery died Thursday at St. John’s Specialty Care Center, Mars.
Born July 11, 1925, in Evans City, she was a daughter of Frank and Alice Gaiser Lotz.
Mrs. Bicehouse retired from Mine Safety Appliances after 21 years.
She was a member of the Crestview United Presbyterian Church, Callery, the MSA Retiree Club, the Order of Eastern Star 271, and the AARP.
She enjoyed playing bingo and owning harness race horses.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Bicehouse Jr., whom she married Dec. 15, 1943.
Also surviving are two sons, Rick Bicehouse of Evans City and Curt Bicehouse of Baden; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Christi) Rice of Evans City; a sister, Shirley Walrond of Beaver Falls; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
BICEHOUSE - Friends of Marion Lotz Bicehouse, who died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002 will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rosalyn Kummer, officiating.

James L. Whyte
James L. Whyte, 75, of Parker died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center after an illness.
Born in Pittsburgh, June 23, 1926, he was the son of James M. and Luella Eckhardt Whyte.
He graduated from Parker High School in 1944 and served in the Army from 1944 to 1946.
Following the war, he was associated with his father in the operation of Whyte’s Market on the hill in Parker. He later owned the market and retired from full-time employment in 1990.
Mr. Whyte was an active member of the Parker City Volunteer Fire Department for years. In the 1990s he was recognized for years of service to the fire company and to the community by being honored as Man of the Year by the fire company.
He was a member and elder of the Parker Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of VFW Post 7073 and American Legion Post 598, both of Parker; Parker City Lodge 521 F&AM, where he recently received his 50-year pin; and Connoquenessing Lodge 278 IOOF of Butler, where he received his 50-year pin in February.
He was an avid fisherman and a member of the seniors card club.
His wife, Esther Bertocki Whyte, whom he married Aug. 19, 1953, in Slippery Rock, died Oct. 28, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (LuAnn) Scruggs of Charlotte, N.C.; three sons, Jay, Donald and Edward Whyte, all of Parker; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Ellen) Fredrick of Florida; and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dale E. Walker
Dale E. Walker, 79, of Saxonburg, formerly of Wichita, Kan., Tulsa, Okla., and Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.
Born in Wichita, Kan., Aug. 28, 1922, he was the son of W. Fred and Clara Whitaker Walker.
In 1976, he retired as a district operating manager of Graybar Electric Co.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evans City and throughout his life was active with the Boy Scouts and veterans’ groups.
During World War II, he served in Germany with the Army’s 335th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division.
He was a hobbyist, outdoorsman and skilled woodworker.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, W. Joyce Coover Walker; three sons, Dale E. Walker II of Wilton, Conn., Daniel K. Walker of Pittsburgh, and Kendall R. Walker of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. JoAnn Sarver of Englewood, Colo.
A brother preceded him in death.

Edward J. Schneider
Edward J. Schneider, 92, of 100 Carlynn Drive, which was formerly named Marshall Drive, Renfrew, died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 19, 1909, in Butler, he was a son of William J. and Mary Ann Slattery Schneider.
In 1974, he retired as a tester in the silicon lab of the metallurgical department at Armco-Butler Works after 26 years.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the Armco Veterans Club, Butler Elks Lodge 170 and American Association of Retired Persons. He was a former member of the Elks Chorus and the Butler Notables chorus.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Rose M. Amendola Schneider, whom he married May 3, 1937; a daughter, Rosemary Lingenfelter of Carlsbad, Calif.; two sons, E. James Schneider of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Joseph V. Schneider of North East, Erie County; and a brother, Cyril Schneider of Michigan. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Constance E. Reinhart
Constance Elizabeth Reinhart, 88, formerly of Prospect, died Wednesday at Trinity Living Center, Grove City.
Born June 30, 1913, in Bakerstown, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence Graham.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect,
She is survived by a son, Terry Reinhart of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Vicki) Stoner of Butler and Mrs. Kip (Connie) Hussar of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Her husband, Lewis Reinhart, died June 12, 1976. A brother, a sister and an infant son also preceded her in death.

Gary A. Pflugh
Gary A. Pflugh, 56, formerly of Mount Chestnut and Summit Township, died Wednesday at Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he made his home.
Born May 17, 1945, in Butler, he was the son of Claire A and Mae Kennedy Pflugh.
He was a 1963 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and retired as a rigger at Armco-Butler Works.
He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Pflugh was a member of the American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jason (Nicole) Allen of Slippery Rock and Tyrell Pflugh of Butler; a sister, Irene Pflugh of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A brother preceded him in death.

Sophie S. Panko
Sophie S. Panko, 85, of 219 W. Boyd Ave. died Monday at Fletcher Health Care Center, Burlington, Vt.
Born in Butler, Oct. 25, 1916, she was the daughter of Paul and Stella Ponikiski Falkowski.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Spaide Shirt Factory, where she made Army jackets during World War II.
Mrs. Panko was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, the 55 & Alive group of the church and the St. Michael Guild and Christian Mothers.
She was a former member of the Keystone Squares.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph W. Panko of Burlington and James P. Panko of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Lois) Foy of Reston, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Pruchniewski of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 59 years, Joseph Panko, died May 13, 2000. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
