Florence “Becky” Easton Goubeaud, 90, of Baden, formerly of Evans City, died Sunday morning at Beaver County Medical Center, Beaver.
Born Aug. 8, 1911, in Criders Corner, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary White Easton.
She was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Evans City, the VFW Auxiliary Post 165 of Ambridge and the Senior Citizens’ Group of Baden.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Ruth) Lantz of Portersville and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Slingluff of Baden; and two brothers, Frank Easton of New Castle and Ray Easton of Freedom. Nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Goubeaud, who died March 9, 1982; a son; a brother; and five sisters.
GOUBEAUD - Friends of Florence “Becky” Goubeaud, who died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at KINSEY-VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Evans City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Park, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Evans City Cemetery .
Winfield L. Hoffman
Winfield L. Hoffman, 75, of Evans City died Saturday afternoon at Passavant Hospital, McCandless.
Born Feb. 19, 1926, in Tunnelton, W.Va., he was the son of Victor and Grace Garner Hoffman.
He attended the Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Township.
Mr. Hoffman had retired from American Bridge in Ambridge as a craneman after 36 years.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Nona E. Moore Hoffman; a daughter, Mrs. David (Carol) McKinnis of Evans City; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, two brothers and a sister.
HOFFMAN - Friends of Winfield L. Hoffman, who died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at KINSEY-VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Evans City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Township. The Rev. Donald Scandral and the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Rippin will officiate. Burial will be at the church Cemetery .
Nettie Lisanti
Nettle Lisanti, 88, of Franklin Township, Beaver County, formerly of Zelienople, died Sunday at Ellwood City Hospital.
Born March 16, 1913, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Josephine Faso Giovengo.
Mrs. Lisanti was a member of the CrossWay Church in Valencia.
She is survived by four daughters, Loralee Lisanti of Harmony, Theresa Lisanti of California, Josephine DiNardi of Cranberry Township and Jean Brletic of Butler; a son, Michael Lisanti of California; and two sisters, Jennie Calderone of Bradford Woods and Mary Ventro of Detroit, Mich. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lisanti, who died Feb. 6, 1980; four brothers; and a sister.

Dale L. Schoeffel
Dale L. Schoeffel, 76, of Evans City died Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless.
Born Jan. 30, 1925, in Evans City, he was the son of Karl and Lydia Beers Schoeffel.
He retired from document control at Mine Safety Appliance after 37 years.
Mr. Schoeffel was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Mine Safety golf league.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Rita Schoeffel, whom he married April 23, 1949; two sons, Drew R. Schoeffel of Evans City and Lt. Col. Dr. Kim M. Schoeffel of Lajes Air Force Base, Azores Island; a daughter, Marcia D. Schoeffel of Evans City; a brother, Ronald Schoeffel of Evans City; and five grandchildren.
A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Susan Barnes Stevenson
Susan A. Barnes Stevenson, 86, of Sarasota, Fla., and Cranberry Township died Nov. 16, 2001, in Florida.
Born June 23, 1915, in Homestead, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Thomas X. and Sara E. Burgess Barnes.
She married Blaine W. Stevenson in 1936, and they moved to Cranberry Township in 1939. He died Dec. 24, 1997.
She was a member of Plains Presbyterian Church of Cranberry Township and was installed as the first female elder of the church on Jan. 7, 1968. She also had been a Sunday school teacher at the church.
She attended Westminster College, New Wilmington, and retired as a secretary at Mine Safety Appliance Co. in 1973 after 18 years.
She was a past worthy matron of Bethlehem Chapter 37 Order of the Eastern Star of Evans City and a past mother adviser of the Elsie Hartje Assembly Order of Rainbow for Girls of Evans City.
She also was active in community youth organizations and was instrumental in creating the Evans City Library.
Surviving are two sons, Blaine W. Stevenson II of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and Wayne T. Stevenson of West Chester; a daughter, Ms. Nancy Stevenson of Sarasota, Fla.; and two grandsons. A niece also survives.
A memorial service will be held at Plains Presbyterian Church in the summer of 2002.

Pauline E. Szkult
Pauline E. Szkult, 78, of Penn Avenue, Lyndora, died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1922, in Butler, she was a daughter of Thomas Sr. and Jean Cavalero Raimondi.
She was member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, formerly St. Stanislaus Church, of Lyndora.
She is survived by a son, Dennis I. Szkult of Key West, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. George (Betty) Mazzanti and Mrs. Margaret Marchinoski, both of Butler; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the widow of Ignatz P. “Iggy” Szkult Jr., who died June 6, 1986. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
SZKULT - Friends of Pauline E. Szkult, who died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery .
Violet M. Walchesky
Violet M. Walchesky, 70, of Cabot died early today at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
Born March 16, 1931 in Butler, she was a daughter of John and Mary Weisgerber Wise.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Walchesky was a member of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore Walchesky, whom she married Sept. 13, 1949.
Also surviving are three sons, Ronald Walchesky of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Richard and Randall Walchesky, both of Cabot; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Cheryl) Lauer of Butler and Mrs. Don (Cathy) Knoch of Saxonburg; a brother, Carl Wise of Arvada, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Gloria) Pollifrone of Butler and Mary Jane Vaughan of Reidsville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a granddaughter.
WALCHESKY - Services for Violet M. Walchesky, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg. The Rev. Richard Feagin, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery .

William L. Wallace
William L. Wallace, 90, of Concordia Lutheran Home in Cabot, formerly of Marwood Road, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Alli-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.
Born Feb. 6, 1911, in Mars, he was the son of William E. and Effie Adams Wallace.
He had worked at Fretz-Moon Tube Co. for more than 20 years. He then worked at Spang & Co. for five years and retired from Marmon/Keystone after five years.
Mr. Wallace was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church, where he had been a deacon, elder and treasurer.
He had been a Cub Scout scoutmaster for two years.
He was a veteran of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Helen L. Deemer Wallace, whom he married Oct. 21, 1939; three sons, George W. Wallace of Hamilton, Ohio, Kenneth C. Wallace of Saxonburg and Ronald A. Wallace of Phoenix; a daughter: Mrs. Randal (Sandra) Diehl of Prospect; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. Private funeral services were today at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, Butler. Burial was at North Side Cemetery .
