Pola Mae Baughman, age 69 of East Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 1:46 p.m. in the U.P.M.C. Montefiore hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born September 23, 1937 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John Bandura, Sr. and the late Aurela Woligura.
Mrs. Baughman was an electronic tester for Magnetics Inc. in East Butler, Pennsylvania for 30 years, retiring in April 2002. She was a member of the A.R.R.P. and also she loved to travel, play golf, and ski.
Mrs. Baughman is survived by her husband, Donald Baughman, Sr. whom she marriage on October 23, 1956, and by one son, Donald L. Baughman, Jr. of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; four daughters, Bambi Baughman - Saxe of Dayton, Ohio, Annette M. Baughman of East Butler, Pennsylvania, Christina L. Baughman - Logan of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Carol A. Baughman of Kittanning, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, one brother, John Bandura, Jr. of East Butler, Pennsylvania, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Baughman was preceded in death by one sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Zoe E. Miller

Zoe E. Miller, age 82 of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 13, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Thomas Glenn Hackett and the late Lorene Shields.
Mrs. Miller was a crossing guard for Butler City, working at the corner of Jefferson and Chestnut Streets for many years. She was a member of East Butler Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Miller was also a member of the Butler Chapter #45 OES White Shrine of Jerusalem #32.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Aaron E. "Gene" Miller whom she marriage on December 26, 1951, one daughter and her husband, Sherry and Michael L. Sharp of Missouri, Kansas; one brother, William Hackett of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her first husband, William I. Laird, who passed away in 1949, by one sister and two brothers.

Jacqueline M. Uytenbogaart
April 4, 1946 - August 6, 2007
Jacqueline M. Uytenbogaart, age 61, of Overlook Drive, Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, died Monday, August 6, 2007 in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 4, 1946, in Beamsville, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Peter Uytenbogaart and the late Mary Mazzeo.
Mrs. Uytenbogaart was an artist and past director of the Associated Artist of Butler County. She was a coordinator for the Art's in Parks and Special Event of the city of Pittsburgh Parks department. Mrs. Uytenbogaart worked in the film division of the Carnegie Museum. She was a designer/writer for GFX Advertising, Tri-County News", and "Movin-Out" magazine in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Uytenbogaart is survived by her husband, Bruce A. MacDonald, whom she marriage on December 17, 1986. She is also survived by a daughter, Jamie M. Dickerson of Butler, Pennsylvania and two stepdaughters, Victoria L. MacDonald of Long Island, New York and Valarie L. MacDonald of Wheeling, West Virginia and also by a number of cousins.
Mrs. Uytenbogaart was preceded in death by one brother.
Private family arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.

Stephen D. Rycroft

Stephen D. Rycroft, age 51, of Sullivan Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:23 p.m. in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born February 4, 1956 in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Lenore Smith Rycroft and the late Reverend Stanley G. Rycroft.
He worked in the processing department for Penn Champ in East Butler.
Mr. Rycroft was a member of Butler Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Rycroft is survived by his wife, Connie R. Rycroft, whom he marriage on September 20, 1975, two daughters, Sarah and Anne Rycroft, both of Butler; and two grandchildren. He also is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lenore Rycroft of Toronto, Canada, a brother, Stanley Rycroft of Toronto, Canada; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Winifred E. Smith, age 89 of Marwood Road, Lund Building, Cabot, Pennsylvania, formerly of Penn Township died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Concordia Lutheran Care.
Born June 28, 1918 in Branchton, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Floyd Elliott and the late Carrie Hall.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and also a former teacher in the Grove City and Butler School Districts. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and former member of the North Naples United Methodist Church in Florida where she was active in both churches. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Butler Garden Club where she served as past president and now is an honorary member. She was a life member of the Emporium chapter #101 OES in Emporium, Pennsylvania, former member of the AAUW, former member of the Junior Women's Club, former member of the Women's Western Pennsylvania Golf Association. Mrs. Smith enjoyed golfing, knitting, gardening, and playing bridge. She was a member of the Women's Club of Grove City College.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one son and his wife, Jack E. and Melissa Smith of Bristow, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. Robert L. (Joyce S.) Brehm of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. John C. (Carole S.) Dickson, Jr. of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, Sally L. Smith of Ashland, Oregon; eight grandchildren, J. C. Dickson, III (Erin), Travis Dickson (Amy), Jefferson Dickson (Mary Ann), Kelly Dayan (John), Scott Brehm, Elliott Smith (Tonya), Megan Smith, Matthew Smith (Jessica); five great-grandchildren, Emerson Dickson, Eleah Dickson, Isabel Dickson, Alex Smith, Gracyie Smith, Tyler Brehm and by a number of nieces and nephews
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack E. Smith who passed away on March 11, 1996.

Elizabeth Jane Brozda, age 72 of South Trenton Avenue, Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, died Monday, October 29, 2007 at 9:20 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 9, 1934 in Homewood, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Lee Albert Price and the late Elizabeth Ann Sager.
Mrs. Brozda was a homemaker. She was a member of St. James Church in Pittsburgh. She was active in politics, church life and her family.
Mrs. Brozda is survived by her husband, Joseph Frank Brozda whom she marriage on May 22, 1954, by three sons, Joseph and Bridget Brozda, John and Donna Brozda, Paul Brozda; five daughters, Elizabeth Alexander, Mary Ann and Mac Grant, Joanne and Richard Pugliese, Theresa and Enrico Clendenning, Louise and Jim Pyles; eighteen grandchildren, Nichoele Hall, Rachelle Brozda, Aimee Davis, Sarah Brozda, Adam Brozda, Stephanie Brozda, Christopher Alexander, Joseph Fazio, Blaine Fazio, Christa Holt, Suzanna Pugliese, Nathaniel Pugliese, Johanna Clendenning, Christian Clendenning, Grace Clendenning, Erika Clendenning, Morgan Pyles, James Pyles; four great-grandchildren, Bredin Fazio, Meykah Hall, Niyah Hall, Eli Davis; one brother, Earl Price; two sisters, Mary Sines, Florence Curry; nine nieces and three nephews.

Members of St. Paul guild and christian mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. Friday at the church.
