David E. Morrow, age 84 of Chicora-Fenelton Road, Fenelton, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 10:20 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 19, 1922 in Fenelton, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Robert J. Morrow and the late Winora C. Smith Morrow.
Mr. Morrow was a Superintendent of Maintenance for Armco retiring after 37 1/2 years of service. He was a former member of Bethany United Church of Christ for many years and is now a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora. Mr. Morrow was a major in the United States Air Force as a pilot during World War II. He was a member of the Victory Lodge #694 F. & A.M., A.A.S.R. Valley of New Castle Syria Temple, Caravan 14, he was a member of the Armco Country Club, and the Armco Management Club. Mr. Morrow served as an elder of Bethany United Church of Christ, and was on the Board of Directors of Penn West Conference OFUC.C.OFC. He was a member of the NRA, the Happy Hunters Club, Camp Anthony in Emporium and the American Legion.
Mr. Morrow is survived by one son, David P. Morrow, one daughter, Sandra Bachman both of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Harry (Sara "Ippie") O'Donnell, one brother, Benjamin A. Morrow both of Butler, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Scott Irvine, Renae Greiner, Wayne Ritter, Michelle (Shelly) Claypoole, Scott Ritter; four great-grandchildren, Kathryn (Katie) Irvine, Alexander Irvine, David Ritter, Deven Claypoole; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian P. Myers Morrow who passed away in 2004, also by six brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 30th from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Wednesday, October 31st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend James A. Higgins of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may also be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, Pennsylvania 16025.
Gladys V. Parker
May 31, 1910 - October 27, 2007
Gladys V. Parker, age 97 of Tucson, Arizona, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. in the Morning Breeze Assisted Care, Tucson, Arizona.
Born May 31, 1910 in Chicora, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Frank Barnhart and the late Rose Ellenburger.
Mrs. Parker was a homemaker. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter, June Maihle of Tucson, Arizona.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Parker who passed away on October 20, 1976.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor David Maitland of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
Goldie Claire Critchlow
September 30, 1913 - October 27, 2007
Goldie Claire Critchlow, age 94, formerly of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the home of her niece and family in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Born September 30, 1913 in Adams Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Thomas D. Critchlow and the late Erla Hughes.
Miss Critchlow was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was a self-employed. Miss Critchlow was raised and lived on the family farm on Reibold Road for over eighty years. Daily hard work and compassion for others were part of her nature. She was the eldest of ten children and she helped raise her siblings and their children as if they were her own.
Miss Critchlow is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jane Leinenbach of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Louise Benoit of Evans City, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Dora Nicklas of Evans City, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews, and by a number of great nieces and great nephews.
Miss Critchlow was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, October 28, 2007 following visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Bishop Kevin Popa, of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Harden L. Moren
June 27, 1932 - October 22, 2007
Harden (Hardy) Leroy Moren, age 75 of West Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:55 a.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born June 27, 1932 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, he was a member of the "Secret Seven Club". Mr. Moren was the son of the late John Wesley Moren and the late Millie Jane "Wilson" Moren.
Mr. Moren was a restaurant worker in New Jersey. He attended Middlesex Presbyterian Church. He loved playing cards, bingo, and taking walks. Mr. Moren loved the Steelers and his children.
He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth Lee Moren, Charles Wesley Moren, John Harden Moren; two daughters, Millie Welch, and Joan Leek; by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, twenty-one nieces and nephews; two brothers, John William Moren, and James Lloyd Moren of Butler, Pennsylvania and James' daughter Jamie Wagner of Butler, Pennsylvania who were his caregivers, and also by one sister, Mildred Cross.
Mr. Moren was preceded in death by his companion, Joy Metzger in October of 2001, by an infant daughter, one brother, and one sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday October 24, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Kevin Bowen of Middlesex Presbyterian Church officiating.
He will then be taken to The Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, West Virginia were there will be visitation on Friday October 26, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home with Reverend Kevin M. Bowen of Middlesex Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Brooke Cemetery in Wellsburg, West Virginia.

Mary E. Quinn, age 85 of South Cliff Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 5, 1922, Butler Co., PA she was the daughter of the late Francis Lewis and the late Julia Eppinger.
Mrs. Quinn retired from the housekeeping department at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was Methodist by faith.
Mrs. Quinn is survived by her two sons, Donald Quinn of Cabot, Pennsylvania, Cecil Quinn of Butler, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Zella McAnallen of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Richard (Gertrude) Christy of Butler, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Quinn who passed away on December 9, 2000 and also by one son, one grandson, four sisters and two brothers.

Robert Starr Livingston

Robert Starr Livingston, age 82 a resident of Sunnyview Home, Butler, Pennsylvania, for the past thirty years died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 3:11 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 1, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Glenn W. Livingston and the late Margaret Jane Starr.
Mr. Livingston was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Livingston is survived by three cousins, Wilbur R. Starr, Paul R. Starr, Dorothy M. Starr all of Butler, Pennsylvania.
A memorial services will be held at the Sunnyview Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend John Germaine of First United Methodist Church of Ashtubula, Ohio officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
