Carl J. (Red) McGrady, age 86 of West Brady Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. in his home.
Born November 9, 1921 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma he was the son of the late Charles McGrady and the late Mary Nichter McGrady.
Mr. McGrady was employed by Armco for over forty years. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Moose Club in Butler, and the Ann Silvers Club in Bradenton Beach, Florida. He and his wife were winter residents of Bradenton Beach, Florida for over 20 years prior to a series of illnesses. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and listening to the noon news on WISR.
Mr. McGrady is survived by one son, Carl J. McGrady Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Rosemarie and Joseph Shirk of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one grand-daughter, Ronya McGrady of London, England; one grandson, Marc McGrady of New York, New York; one sister, Mary Catherine Ceplecha of Chicago, Illinois; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. McGrady was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. Morabito McGrady who passed away on January 23, 2007 and they were marriage on October 16, 1944. He was also preceded in death by one brother Lawrence McGrady and one sister Rita Moore.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Monday, December 17, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with the Very Reverend Father Harry Beilewicz of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Coylesville, Pennsylvania.
Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet to recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Church.

Ruth Elizabeth Beatty, age 83 of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 12:27 P.M. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 13, 1924 in Brookville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Sheldon G. Mentzer and the late Virda Fiscus Mentzer.
Mrs. Beatty was a homemaker but had worked at the Erie Register in Erie. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. Mrs. Beatty was a member of the A.A.R.P. and the 60+ Bowling Leagues. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and reading.
Mrs. Beatty is survived by one son and his wife, Gary and Ruth Beatty of Marion, Ohio; five daughters and their husbands, Mrs. Joe (Deborah) Hoke of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Dave (Sharon) Moore of Chicora, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Albert (Linda) Nolte of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Kevin (Vivian) Warheit of Butler, Pennsylvania, Brenda McGuire of Pennsylvania; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth Mentzer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Beatty whom she marriage on November 23, 1945 and who passed away on September 24, 2000 and also by one sister Leona McAdoo.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard Jenks of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Harry Joseph Nolte

Harry Joseph Nolte, age 50 of Freeport Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:36 a.m. at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 12, 1957 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Nolte and the late Millie Marie Emery.
Mr. Nolte was the owner/mechanic for Harry's Automotive. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club, the Evans City Sportsman Club, the NRA, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers and the National Federation of Independent Business. Mr. Nolte enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars and sports.
Mr. Nolte is survived by his wife, E. Jean Zedreck Nolte of Butler, Pennsylvania whom he marriage on March 21, 1992; by his son and his wife, Evan and Laura Nolte, of Virginia; his son, Christopher Zedreck at home; two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Melissa Zedreck) Timblin of Butler, Pennsylvania, Nicole Zedreck at home; two grandchildren, Drevan Coughenour of Butler, Pennsylvania, Ash Nolte of Hilliards, Pennsylvania; four step-grandchildren, two brothers and their wives, Robert and Sandra Nolte of Harmony, Pennsylvania, Albert and Linda Nolte of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, M. Marie Leith of Florida and by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nolte was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda and granddaughter Angel.

Iva Fay Gumbert
May 11, 1920 - December 7, 2007
Iva Fay Gumbert, age 87, of Plateau Street, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at 7:00 a.m. in Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born May 11, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Etta Bartley Hendricks.
She was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church since April 14, 1960. Mrs. Gumbert was a nurse for the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was an Army nurse in London serving during WWII. She volunteered much of her time at the Butler County Humane Society where she was able to foster her love for animals, especially dogs.
Mrs. Gumbert is survived by her beloved "Jake", a miniature Schnauzer, a number of nieces and nephews, a number of cousins and by many friends.
Mrs. Gumbert was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Earl" Gumbert, who was deceased September 13, 2000, one sister, Marry Morgan, one brother, Walter Bartley and by a nephew, Michael Morgan.

Rhoda L. Montag
October 12, 1925 - December 6, 2007
Rhoda L. Montag, age 82, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 12, 1925, in Mount Chestnut, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Virginia Lensner Montag.
Miss Montag was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, The Red Hat Society and the Butler Women's Club of Meridian.
Upon her graduation from Butler High School and Butler Business School, she moved to Arlington, Virginia and was employed by the United States Government. She was among the last group of United States officials airlifted during the fall of Saigon. After retiring, she returned to Butler where she resided for approximately twenty-seven years.
Miss Montag had a calling to help others. She fostered teenagers while residing in the Washington, D.C. area, and she was a long time volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Butler.
She was active in her church and supportive of friends, family or anyone in need. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and socializing. She especially enjoyed traveling with her family. She will be remembered by her warm smile and caring heart.
Miss Montag is survived by one brother, Kenneth Montag of Meadville, Pennsylvania and by one sister, Suzanne Buttner of Rockledge, Florida.
Miss Montag was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Lynn Montag.

Hill F. Kingsley, age 28 of Village Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 9:18 a.m. at his residence.
Born November 27, 1979 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of Vicki Lynn Dillaman Kingsley Peuler and the late James M. Kingsley.
Mr. Kingsley was a Financial Sales Consultant for PNC Financial Services. He was a graduate of Butler High School and the University of Miami in Ohio.
Mr. Kingsley is survived his mother and step-father, Vicki Lynn and Michael Peuler of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; one brother, Ian H. Kingsley of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, Kendal A. Kingsley of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; his maternal grandfather, Howard C. Dillaman of Butler, Pennsylvania; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Kingsley of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Kingsley was preceded in death by his father, grandfather and grandmother.
