Charles D. (Chad) Foringer, 58 of Butler, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly, Saturday morning, June 11, 2005, while visiting his son Matthew, in Savannah, Georgia.
Born in Butler on April 24, 1947, he was the son of late Harold F. and Romaine Paul Foringer. He had been a marketing representative for T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Company before retiring in January of 2002 due to a disability. He graduated from Butler High School, class of 1966. He attended Kent State University before joining the United States Army serving as a Convoy Commander. Chad proudly served his country including a tour in Vietnam. While in Vietnam he received the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal and certificate of appreciation. He graduated from BC3 with a degree in Architectural Drafting Technology. He was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Community Development Corporation, Downtown Business Association, Chamber of Commerce and the Shade Tree Commission.
He marriage Patricial McIntyre on July 13, 1974. They were the proud parents of Jason (Jay) & wife Trena Foringer of Akron, Ohio, Matthew of Houston, Texas and Savannah, Georgia, and Christopher who is with US Army 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He is also survived by a granddaughter Julia Madalyn Foringer, his mother-in-law Eileen McIntyre, two brothers, Harold F. "Tad" Foringer, Jr. of Hampton, Virginia and B. Scott Foringer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, four sisters, Mrs. Richard T. (Barbara) Johnson of Fayetteville, New York, Mrs. Dale (Thelma) Ross of Upland, California, Mrs. Bruce E. (Lisa) Sten of Prospect, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Mindy Gall of Butler, Pennsylvania and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday June 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. James Swanson of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Internment will follow at North Side Cemetery. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 249 Butler, Pennsylvania.

Ann Burkholder
March 31, 1931 - June 9, 2005
Ann Burkholder, age 74 of Beaver Road, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Butler, died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11:10 a.m. at her residence.
Born March 31, 1931 in Curtisville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of John Raymoth and Mary Scruba.
Mrs. Burkholder was employed as a clerk for Troutman's Department Store in Butler, Pennsylvania and retired from Moonlight Mushroom Mine in West Winfield, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Burkholder was an avid golfer.
She is survived by three granddaughters, two grandsons and ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carol Heakins of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Helen Hayden of Cabot, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Burkholder was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy E. Burkholder, who was deceased April 5, 1995 and by one daughter, one son, one sister, one brother and two nephews.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis W. Molnar, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.
Martha F. Leimer
February 1, 1918 - June 9, 2005
Martha F. Leimer, age 87 of Portman Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 10:15 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 1, 1918 in Plain City, Ohio she was the daughter of Faye Finley and Norma Tarpening Finley.
Mrs. Leimer was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she was very active in her church. She was a Navy Wave with the U.S. Navy and a veteran of WW II. She was a member of the Keystone Squares. Mrs. Leimer formerly worked at Camp Lutherlyn as a cook and as a baker. She had previously volunteered for the Red Cross and the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Leimer is survived by two sons, John F. Leimer of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ladd K. Leimer of West Palm Beach, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Barry (Beth) Hazen of Kennebunk, Maine; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Patty Cooper of Ohio; a brother, Gene Finley of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Albert W. Leimer, who was deceased November 10, 1983, preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 12, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, June 13, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Peter Norby, pastor of her church, officiating. Interment will follow in Gruenwald Cemetery.

Margaret J. Say
June 1, 1911 - June 7, 2005
Margaret J. Say, age 94 formerly of Butler, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California.
Born June 1, 1911 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Roach Kramer. Her mother died at an early age and her father remarriage to Meliss Gallagher Kramer.
Mrs. Say was a homemaker and mother. She was active in the Lyndora YMCA in her younger years; and in later years she was involved in the YWCA, where she gave bridge lessons. Her favorite hobbies were reading, playing bridge and attending ballet performances. She was an avid cat lover all her life. Mrs. Say was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Butler, where she taught Sunday school, was a communion assistant and sang in the choir for many years. In 2002, she moved to Hawaii to live with her daughter; and in 2005, she moved to California to live in an assisted living facility.
Mrs. Say is survived by two daughters, Susanne Eisler of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Kathleen Wolverton of Fullerton, California; ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Say was preceded in death by a son, William P. Say and a great-grandson, Jeff Eisler.
A Memorial services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tim Bupp, pastor of Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at North Side Cemetery.
Verda M. Christie
October 16, 1918 - June 6, 2005
Verda M. Christie, age 86 formerly of Center Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday at 3:05 p.m., June 6, 2005 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot, Pennsylvania.
Born October 16, 1918 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Raymond J. and Gertrude Foster Bowser.
She was a homemaker and had attended the North Main Street Church of God.
Mrs. Christie is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Nancy) Spinelli of Cheswick, Pennsylvania and Mrs. John (Betty) Radvan of Tarentum, Pennsylvania; two sons, James Christie of Cheswick, Pennsylvania and Edward Christie of Marina, California; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Arlene) Hinton of Butler, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Wayne (Kay) Davidson of Valencia, Pennsylvania and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Christie was preceded in death by her husband, Dean B. Christie who was deceased October 26, 1992 and by three sisters.

Lyle Kenneth Bachman
July 30, 1924 - June 5, 2005
Lyle Kenneth Bachman, age 80 of BelleField Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 11:25 A.M. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born July 30, 1924 in Butler County, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Albert Milton Bachman and the late Leah Beggs Bachman.
He is a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler. Mr. Bachman was a turn foreman in the silicon department for Butler Armco, he retired in 1982 after 39 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a staff sergeant in the medical detachment of the 322nd Engineer Combat Battalion in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of the Joseph T. Black Post # 249 of the V. F. W.
Mr. Bachman is survived by his wife, Jean A. Osborn Bachman whom he marriage on October 13, 1951 by one son, Randall Lyle Bachman and his wife Loretta of Butler, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Karen) Werner of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. James (Pamela) Padula of Oakton, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Burtner, Mrs. Thelma Wiegand both of Butler, Pennsylvania and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bachman was preceded in death by two brothers.
