W. Scott McClimans, age 92 of Walker Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at 11:20 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 1, 1912 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Thomas C. McClimans and the late Margaret Curry McClimans.
Mr. McClimans was retired from Armco in 1971 after thirty-eight years of service. He was a member of the North Street Christian Church.
Mr. McClimans was a member of the Armco veterans club, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #64 of Butler. He was very active in many bowling leagues over the years and was a former member of the Hot Dog Bowling team.
Mr. McClimans is survived by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. McClimans was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel R. Graffius McClimans who passed away on September 17, 1988 and by his two sons, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, June 6, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Robert Huber officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Kathleen A. Johnston Otte
February 14, 1943 - July 31, 2005
Kathleen A. Johnston Otte, age 62 of South Main Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 14, 1943 in Akron, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Robert Johnston and the late Jerry Thompson.
Mrs. Otte along with her husband co-managed the Sea Spray Motel in Nags Head, North Carolina in the 1980's and 1990's. She formerly worked at Butler Memorial Hospital during the 1960's and 1970's as a unit clerk. Mrs. Otte was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, she enjoyed reading, listening to music and walking on the beach.
Mrs. Otte is survived by one sister, Nancy Kummer of Meridian, Pennsylvania; four nephews, Todd Kummer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mark Kummer of Pullman, Washington, Brian Kummer of Meridian, Pennsylvania, Matthew Johnston of Nashville, Tennessee; four nieces, Melissa Tamblin of Dallas, Texas, Lori Fehl of Cranberry, Pennsylvania, April Otte of Greenfield, Wisconsin, Melissa Heard of Bangor, Pennsylvania; by three aunts and two uncles, Betty and Tom Gregory of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, Marcella and Jim Johnston of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; Dorothy Farnen of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Gay Wright of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; and by a number of cousins.
Mrs. Otte was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Otte, who passed away on October 26, 2002, and by one brother.
A Memorial Services will be held at the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 28, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Alice Weaver Dunn officiating.

Vivian W. Bolam
November 19, 1919 - July 29, 2005
Vivian W. Bolam, age 85, of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, died Friday afternoon, July 29, 2005 at Saxony Health Center.
Born November 19, 1919 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Everett F. and Faye Bartley Westerman.
Mrs. Bolam was a crossing guard for Butler.
She was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, a past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 45, and a Boy Scouts of America club leader for many years. She was active in her church.
Mrs. Bolam is survived by her son, Ronald L. Bolam and his wife, Margaret, of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; her grandson, Scott Bolam of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bolam was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Bolam, who died January 10, 1994 and by two brothers, Blair and Bud Westerman.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 31, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Officers and members of Butler Chapter 45 Order of Eastern Star will meet at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home for a service.

Frank S. Walchesky
October 15, 1917 - July 24, 2005
Frank S. Walchesky, age 87 of Butler Road, Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, July 24, 2005 unexpectedly at 9:23 p.m. Sunday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 15, 1917 in Flemington, West Virginia, he was the son of Charles Walchesky and Maude Laver.
He was member of the Saxonburg Memorial United Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Walchesky, who retired in 1982 as an electrician, had worked with Local 56 of the Electrical Workers Union for more than 41 years and for Fuellgraf Electric for more than 14 years.
Mr. Walchesky is survived by his wife, Ruth B. Bestwick Walchesky, whom he marriage on November 18, 1937; a son, Stanley F. Walchesky of Cabot, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Russell "Ted" Walchesky of Cabot, Pennsylvania; five sisters, Mrs. William (Victoria) Turk of Erie, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Frances Brown of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Dante (Leta) Tabacchi of Cheswick, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Clayton (Anna Mae) Booher of Branchton, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Charles (Violet) Burd of Cabot, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Saxonburg Memorial United Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Doctor David Brewer, his church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

Charles L. Moore
August 26, 1926 - July 23, 2005
Charles L. Moore, age 78, of William Flynn Highway, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 9:15 a.m. in Sunnyview Home after a lingering illness with his family by his side.
Born August 26, 1926 in Center Township, Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Harry Moore and Bertha Fleeger.
His life was extended 17 years by the grace of God, the miracles of modern medicine and by two unselfish people who donated their kidneys so Chuck could live. These gifts of life allowed him to dance with his only daughter, Karen, at her wedding, hold his only grandchild, Ashley, when she was born in 2001, celebrate his 40th and 50th wedding anniversaries, and watch his buddy, April, grow into a teenager. For these and many other memories, his family is thankful to God and eternally grateful to those who gave the gift of life.
He was a machine operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Highway Department and retired in 1988 due to his health after 22 years. Mr. Moore had a passion for gardening and taking care of lawns and enjoyed other activities that kept him outdoors. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Esther Herold Moore, whom he marriage on June 12, 1953; one son, Charles L. Moore, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Karen) Shields of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, Ashley Shields; and two nieces and three nephews.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Community Alliance Church on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Ted Harris officiating. Interment will be Tuesday morning at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Mount Chestnut.

Shirley J. Dailey
July 13, 1930 - July 20, 2005
Shirley J. Dailey, age 75 formerly of Evans City Road, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 8:25 p.m. in Outlook Pointe in Saxonburg.
Born July 13, 1930 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Ira Fair and the late Jessie Campbell.
Mrs. Dailey was a retired sales clerk for K-Mart Store in Butler. She was protestant by faith.
Mrs. Dailey is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Vikki) Schmeider, Jr. of Cabot, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. William (Tammy) Phillips of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dailey was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Dailey, Jr. who passed away on October 29, 1983 and by a brother.
Private services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend David L. Fisher from Homeacre Chapel officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
