Ruth Emily Lens, age 85 of Wildwood, Missouri, died Friday, March 30, 2007, in the St. Louis, Missouri.
Born March 9, 1922, in Franklin Township, Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. Cooper and the late Jennie Mae Cooper.
Mrs. Lens was a homemaker and former member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Lens is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Carol L.) Baxter; two grandchildren, Rebekah and David Baxter, all of Chesterfield, Missouri; and one sister, Mrs. Carmen (Mabel) Oliva of Butler.
Mrs. Lens was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander B. "Al" Lens, and by five sisters and five brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Friday, April 6, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, April 7, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Tim Bupp of Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

E. Evelyn Hollopeter
June 4, 1899 - April 2, 2007
E. Evelyn Hollopeter, age 107, a longtime resident of Dubois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, who had been making her home at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot, Pennsylvania, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at 6:20 A.M. at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 4, 1899 in Rockton, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Hollopeter was the daughter of William and Della Elnora (Brubaker) Duff Benton.
Mrs. Hollopeter was a homemaker. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Clearfield County since 1911, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a church pianist for many years.
She is survived by her son, Robert D. Hollopeter of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; her daughter, Margaret H. Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hollopeter was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse M. Hollopeter, who was deceased in 1977, two sisters, one brother, a granddaughter and one nephew.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, April 30, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Chris Ramsey, her church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.

Charles N. Porter
September 11, 1920 - August 10, 2005
Charles N. Porter, age 84 of Manor Drive, Valencia, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 8:25 p.m. in St. John's Specialty Care Center.
Born September 11, 1920 in Millerstown, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Charles N. Porter and the late Ida K. Phillips.
Mr. Porter was a superintendent for Mellon-Stuart Construction Co., retiring in January of 1986 after 34 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Glade Run Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Mars.
Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Viola Kummer who he marriage on December 15, 1952, by two sons, Keith C. Porter of Raleigh, North Carolina, James N. Porter of Raleigh, North Carolina; by one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara Jo) Forsman of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania; one step-son, Robert E. Kaufmann of Butler, Pennsylvania; a sister, Frances L. Schmidt of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Porter was preceded in death by his first wife Edna E. Hamilton who passed away in March of 1948, and by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, August 12, 2005 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, August 13, 2005 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Harry A. Falls
June 28, 1913 - August 9, 2005
Harry A. Falls, age 92 of Quinn Orchard Road, Frederick, Maryland, died Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2:00 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Maryland.
Born June 28, 1913 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Burford O. Falls and the late Marie Schubert.
Mr. Falls was an Assistant General Manager for the United States Housing Authority. Following that he worked for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority in various administrative positions. He was a member of Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in America, Valencia, Pennsylvania and had been active in his church. He was a former member of the Lion's Club. He was instrumental in the development of the city Green Belt, Maryland during the Franklin Roosevelt presidency.
Mr. Falls is survived by one son, David A. Falls of New Bern, North Carolina; three daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Janet) Voltz of Butler, Pennsylvania, Gail Falls of Marin County, California, Donna Tocco of Gaithersburg, Maryland; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Falls was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth E. Anderson Falls, his second wife Violet E. Falls who passed away on January 20, 1994, by a brother and a sister.

Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Harvey F. Walker
December 15, 1929 - August 7, 2005
Harvey F. Walker, age 75, of McGrady Hollow Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:57 p.m. in the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital as a result of a motorcycle accident on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.
Born in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, December 15, 1929, he was the son of Delphin and Mary Weaver Walker.
Mr. Walker had been a coal miner with Union Local 4963 and retired in 1991 after 25 years. He was a Methodist. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Michael Kosar American Legion Post 0778 of Lyndora. He also belonged to the Slovak Sokol Society, the United Mine Workers Association and the Harley Owners Group.
Mr. Walker is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Heidi) Zaremba of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren: Trent and Olivia Zaremba, a stepdaughter, Lisa Clark of Butler, Pennsylvania and a step-granddaughter, Brittany Clark; two brothers, Wilber Alfred Walker of Ohio and Kenneth Walker of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruby) Lipscomb and Mrs. David (Della) Curzi both of Butler, Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces and nephews. From a previous marriage, Mr. Walker is survived by three daughters and five grandchildren.
One sister preceded Mr. Walker in death.

George W. "Pee-Wee" Blatt
December 30, 1928 - August 4, 2005
George W. "Pee-Wee" Blatt, age 76, of Hoffman Road, Chicora, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 6:15 p.m. at his residence.
Born December 30, 1928 in Fenelton, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Charles G. Blatt and the late Bessie L. Morrow.
Mr. Blatt was a machinist for Fritz Moon, Inc. from 1948-1963 and then for Damon Industry from 1963-1973. He worked for American Glass Research from 1973-199, retiring on March 17, 1991. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the church's personnel committee and the church council. Mr. Blatt was a member of the Happy Hunters Sportsmen Club and a member of the #769 William H. Miller Lodge F. & A. M. - Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle. He was an avid hunter and woodworker.
Mr. Blatt is survived by his wife, Mildred A. (Millie) Blatt, who he marriage on January 15, 1949; by two grandsons, Mick Young of Chicora, Pennsylvania and Chad Young of Bradenton, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Morrow of Prospect, Pennsylvania; a son-in-law, Denny Young of Chicora, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blatt was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Young, one sister Bessie Heasley and three brothers, Paul, Ben and Earl Blatt.
