William R. Hill, age 80 of Woodbury Dr., Butler, PA, died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 5:55 a.m. at his residence.
Born March 23, 1925 in Coal Center, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Roy McClees Hill and the late Isabel Riley.
Mr. Hill was a manager for Prudential for 30 years. He was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church. He sang in the church's choir and active with Meals on Wheels. Mr. Hill was an avid golfer, and was a member of the Postmasters Golf League; he also bowled at Family Lanes. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #461, Monongahela Valley, York Rite Lodges, Syria Temple, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Butler Caravan #14, Butler Luncheon Club. Mr. Hill was in the U.S. Army serving in the European Theater where he received the Purple Heart.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Betty Wallow Hill whom he marriage on June 14, 1947, three sons, David R. Hill and his fiancé Rose Dulaney of Mercer, Pennsylvania, John W. Hill of Arlington, Virginia, Samuel G. and his wife Karen Hill of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Barbara Sloan of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Brian, Natalie, Jeremiah, Enoch, Tiffany, Michelle, Mark, Ryan and Kelsey, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Hill.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, October 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Oden R. Warman of Christ Community United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Charlotte Hess DeArmitt
November 6, 1906 - October 25, 2005
Charlotte Hess DeArmitt, age 98 of Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, formerly of K & L Mobile Home Court died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 12:50 p.m. in the Westminster Woods Nursing Home.
Born November 9, 1906 in Six Mile Run, Bedford County she was the daughter of the late Charles Hess and the late Arah Hess.
Mrs. DeArmitt was a homemaker. She was a member of The Church of the Nazarene on Route 68 west in Butler. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Mrs. DeArmitt is survived by two sons, James V. DeArmitt of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Gerald W. (Jerry) DeArmitt of Butler, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. DeArmitt marriage William M. DeArmitt on December 22, 1922. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1981.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, New Kensington, Pennsylvania.
Jean Elizabeth Nicholas
February 27, 1914 - October 25, 2005
Jean Elizabeth Nicholas, age 91 of 406 Piper Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 5:15 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Care.
Born February 27, 1914 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Arthur O. Nicholas and the late Frances Balph.
Miss Nicholas was a bank teller for Mellon Bank for 40 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church. She was a former trustee of her church, member of the Butler Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Gray Ladies 1st class during WW II.
There will be no public visitation or service. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Devotion at Butler County Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Jack Klingensmith
September 3, 1915 - September 22, 2003
Jack W. Klingensmith, 88 of Eberhart Road, Butler, died Monday, September 22, 2003 in Butler V A Medical Center.
Born September 3, 1915 in Stubenville, Ohio, he was the son of R. D. Klingensmith and Martha Roofneir.
He was retired, having been a co-owner of the Homestead Restaurant, Prospect, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and WW II. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge as a sergeant with the 11th Armored Division. An avid golfer, he worked many years at Lake Arthur Country Club as a starter. He also enjoyed bowling.
Mr. Klingensmith is survived by his wife, Gertrude C. Klingensmith, whom he was marriage to for 48 years one son, Jack B. Klingensmith of Huntington Beach, California, three daughters, Jeanette Hartos of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Patricia Kikolauyk of Butler, Pennsylvania, Sandra Missroon of Atlanta, Georgia, Seven Grandchildren and Eight Great-Grandchildren, two Brothers, Basil Klingensmith of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, James Klingensmith of California, and a Number of Nieces and Nephews.
There will be no Public Visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Arthur Wade Coffey from Butler Veteran's Affairs Medical Center officiating.
Katherine L. Bicker

Katherine L. Bicker, age 84 of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, Pennsylvania, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at 3:59 p.m. in the Trinity Living Center.
Born September 1, 1921 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James Burd and the late Frone Smith.
Mrs. Bicker was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver, Pennsylvania and was a Sunday School Secretary for many years.
Mrs. Bicker is survived by her husband, Floyd W. Bicker and whom she marriage on October 4, 1941, by one daughter, Janet E. Kriss of New Martinville, West Virginia; one son, Russell F. Bicker of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Smith of Cabot, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Virginia Smith of Freeport, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bicker was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Rebecca Bonnett
December 23, 1916 - October 22, 2005
Rebecca M. Bonnett, age 88, of West Muntz Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, currently a resident at Chicora Medical Center, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 7:50 a.m. in the Chicora Medical Center.
Born in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania on December 23, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Clarence Shick and Rosabelle Robinson Shick.
Mrs. Bonnett was a homemaker.
She was marriage to Max W. Bonnett; he preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by one son Richard Rex Bonnett of Butler, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum in the Butler County Memorial Park.
Bette Anne Beistel

Bette Anne Beistel, age 67 of Cherokee Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, October 21, 2005 at her residence.
Born July 1, 1938 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania she was the son of the late Robert Greenlee and the late Betty Ackerman Greenlee.
Mrs. Beistel was a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was very active, Meals on Wheels, Timberly Heights Bridge Club, Alpha Delta Phi Sorority, and interested in classical guitar music. She was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, a registered nurse graduating from University of Pittsburgh, Ohio Valley Medical Hospital.
Mrs. Beistel is survived by her husband, David F. Beistel whom she marriage on April 9, 1960; by three sons, Steven R. Beistel, Gary P. Beistel, and Andrew J. Beistel; eight grandchildren, Joshua D., Alicia, Katie, John, Maggy, Daniel, Evan and Nicholas Beistel; her sister-in-law, Barbara Romney; two nieces, Susan LeCornu, and Kanako Romney; three nephews, David Williams, Eric Romney, and Chris Romney.
Mrs. Beistel was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Mary Jane Williams.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 24, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m.
Services will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Curtis McDaniel of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
