Lawrence (Larry) Gizienski, age 64, of Mahood Road, West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at 9:37 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 2, 1941 in Hamtramck, Michigan, he was the son of John Gizienski and the late Cecilia Valentovic Gizienski.
He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Gizienski was employed as a carpenter and contractor for Brian Homes. He loved to hunt, fish and play poker with his family. He was a graduate of Knoch High School.
Mr. Gizienski is survived by his wife, Delores (Dorry) Falkner Gizienski, whom he marriage February 27, 1961; two sons, Larry Gizienski of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Duane Gizienski of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania; four daughters, Lorri Yerkins Gizienski of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Lea Folk Gizienski of Butler, Pennsylvania, Theresa Giesler and her husband, Kevin, of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, and Terri Ireland and her husband, L. Vernon, of Karns City, Pennsylvania; his father, John Gizienski, Sr. of Cabot, Pennsylvania; twelve grandchildren, Larry, Zachery, Nichol, Shannon, Adam, Cliff, Jennah, Dylan, Alexis, Kayla, Samantha, and Timothy. He is also survived by three brothers, John Gizienski, Jr., Henry Gizienski and his wife, Chris, and Francis Gizienski and his wife, Laura, all of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; a sister, Cecelia Sasse of Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church on Monday December 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donation be made to the charity of their choice.
Members of St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the rosary.
Charles J. Heaton
October 2, 1926 - December 2, 2005
Charles J. Heaton, age 79, of Oakvale Boulevard, Butler, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly Friday, December 2, 2005 at 8:20 a.m. at his residence.
Born October 2, 1926 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William and Regina Dandoy Heaton.
Mr. Heaton had attended the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Heaton was employed as postmaster for U. S. Postal Service in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of WWII as a tank commander and served in Italy. He was a licensed real estate agent for Carl Shields. He moved to Coral Springs, Florida and established his own real estate company and then became a licensed appraiser. In 1977, Mr. Heaton became an established appraiser in Mesa, Arizona. He retired in 1998 and moved back to Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Heaton is survived by his wife, Phyllis Stutz Heaton, who he marriage on November 13, 1999; three sons, Charles Heaton, Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Middlebury, Connecticut, Jeffrey Heaton and his wife, Lauren, and Douglas Heaton and his wife, Vonnie, both of Chandler, Arizona; a daughter, Linda Felty of Shartlesville, Pennsylvania; four step-children, Bob Stutz, Steve Stutz, Susan Robinson, and Linda Stutz; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and six step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Pithers of Butler, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
His brother, William Heaton, preceded Mr. Heaton in death.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
Elizabeth E. McGarvey
August 6, 1916 - December 2, 2005
Elizabeth E. McGarvey, age 89, formerly of Seneca Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at 6:35 a.m. in the Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, Pennsylvania.
Born August 6, 1916 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Reverend and Mrs. William John (Zoola G. McCoy) Vaughan.
Mrs. McGarvey was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. McGarvey was a special education teacher for Mid-Western Intermediate Unit IV and retired from Clarence Brown Special Ed School in 1979. She was an alumnus of Slippery Rock University, class of 1944. She earned her Master's of Education in special education from the University of Pittsburgh. She taught Sunday school in the primary department of her church for 18 years.
Mrs. McGarvey is survived by her daughter, Mrs. James V. (Jane) Schaffner of Butler, Pennsylvania; her son, V. Brent McGarvey of Painesville, Ohio; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Murray of DesPlaines, Illinois and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McGarvey was preceded in death by her husband, Shirl W. McGarvey, who was deceased September 26, 1984 and by her son, two sisters and a brother.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorial services will be held at the Hill United Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Clark Sawyer, pastor of her church, officiating.

Agnes E. Heidenreich
September 17, 1914 - January 29, 2006
Agnes E. Heidenreich, age 91 of Sawmill Run Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 17, 1914 in North Washington, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Ray Shimell and the late Mary Rohrer.
Mrs. Heidenreich was a homemaker. She was a member of Homeacre Chapel.
Mrs. Heidenreich is survived by two sons, William R. Heidenreich, and Thomas E. Heidenreich of Butler, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Mae Geibel of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Florence Werner of Renfrew, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Heidenreich was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Heidenreich who passed away on February 7, 1986, and by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Gary M. "Gooch" Komitsky
January 1, 1943 - January 28, 2006
Gary Michael Komitsky, age 63 of Eden Drive, Monroeville, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 7:45 p.m. in the Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born January 1, 1943 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Frank Komitsky and the late Katherine Spack.
Mr. Komitsky was a consulting project manager for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and he formerly worked for U.S. Steel for 20 years. He was an alumni of Grove City College with a BS degree in chemical engineering and a MBA degree from Carnegie-Mellon University. He was a member of the Slovak Sokol Society in Lyndora. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors with his dogs.
Mr. Komitsky is survived by his wife, Kay L. Rowland Komitsky, three daughters, Natalie Komitsky of Saudia Arabia, Carrie Sebold of Chicago, Illinois, Alison Kotchey of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; son, Gregg A, Komitsky of Woodbridge, Virginia; six grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Whittington of Massachusetts, Judi Dott of Massachusetts; brother, Dr. Frank Komitsky of Los Angeles, California.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Patricia Stetz of Crafton Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Edward A. Stepnick

Edward A. Stepnick, age 81 of Westwood Manor, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. at his residence.
Born November 19, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Charles J. Stepnick and the late Mary E. Scheely.
Mr. Stepnick was a supervisor for Central Maintenance Division of U.S. Steel in Homestead, Pennsylvania retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Stepnick was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in WW II. He was also a member of the American Legion #116 of Avalon, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Stepnick is survived by his wife, Margaret H. Matuza Steonick, one daughter, Dr. Kathleen G. Stepnick of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Dolores) Sickler of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. JoAnn Herr of Alexandria, Virginia; three brothers, Charles J. Stepnick, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daniel R. Stepnick of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Regis F. Stepnick of Portland, Maine; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stepnick was preceded in death one brother, William J. Stepnick.
