Garnet M. McPherson, 87 formerly of Autumn Drive, died Monday, April 26, 2004 at 3:05 a.m. in Grove Manor, Grove City, Pennsylvania.
Born March 16, 1917 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William Flack and Bessie McCain.
Mrs. McPherson was a homemaker. She was protestant by faith. She was a life member of the South Butler Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. McPherson made her home with her daughter, Sandra Miller.
Mrs. McPherson is survived by three daughters, Sandra Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. George (Judy) Kostecky of Lyndora, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Carl (Sheila) Orand of Omaha, Nebraska, one son, Dennis W. McPherson of Grove City, Pennsylvania, eight Grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McPherson was preceded in death by her husband Harold DeRoy McPherson, who passed away on November 23, 1996 and by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis Hindman of Rider Lutheran Church Officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Gerard J. (Popeye) Stein, 83 of Saxonburg Road, Butler, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 9:12 p.m. at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 14, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John V. Stein and Mary Edna McGuire.
Mr. Stein was the steward of the Joseph T. Black Post #249. He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Stein was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in WW II in the 112th infantry, 28th Division and saw plenty of action throughout the European Theatre. He was a life member of the Joseph T. Black Post #249 V.F.W.
Mr. Stein is survived by one son, John R. Stein of Butler, Pennsylvania, one Grandson, one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Loutzenhiser of Butler, Pennsylvania, one brother, Charles J. Stein of McKeesport, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stein was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Nagy Stein, who passed away on February 10, 1976 and by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Officers and members of the Joseph T. Black Post #249 V.F.W. will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m.
A Blessing Service will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday evening, April 27, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.

Donna J. Huselton, 56 of Butler, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 6:58 a.m. at her residence.
Born June 29, 1947 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Ellis Clark and Sara L. Davis.
Mrs. Huselton attended Living Waters Community Church. She was a Health Care Consultant with Grane Health Care for 7 years and then she was employed as a nurse at Valencia Woods Nursing Home for 20 years.
Surviving are her husband Gerald (Tom) Huselton, Jr., who she marriage on November 9, 1974, a son, Dennis Frketich of Brookville, two daughters, Sherie Wilson of Pittsburgh and Tracy L. Huselton of Butler, five grandchildren, a brother, Dr. Lloyd Young of Honolulu, Hawaii, a sister, Mrs. Betty Bollinger of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her one brother and one sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, Sunday April 25, 2004 from 7 to 9 and Monday April 26, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday April 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Al Huba of Living Waters Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Joan L. Bennett, 80 of Shoemaker Drive, El Paso, Texas died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Providence Hospital, El Paso, Texas.
Born November 7, 1923 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of James H. Morris and Evelyn Sheef.
Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of First English Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Sue Jensen of Centreville, Virginia, one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Nancy) Hoehn of Butler, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death her husband Karl F. Bennett, who passed away on April 11, 2003.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Sunday, May 2, 2004 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Ann Buron Galgoczy

Ann Buron Galgoczy, 91 of Lowrie House, Butler, formerly of Merritt Drive, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 27, 1914 in Granite City, Illinois, she was the daughter of Bernard Buron and Elizabeth Bencsura.
Mrs. Galgoczy graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri. She was an RN and worked as a pediatric nurse and she served as a visiting nurse. She was a 55 plus year member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and she was involved in many women's activities at her church. She enjoyed antiques and turned her hobby into a business known as Ann's Antiques. She volunteered at The Cherry Tree of Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler Public Library, The Food Pantry in Butler and St. Vincent DePaul. She was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Mrs. Galgoczy is survived by one daughter, Christine Ann Davis of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, one son, J. Edgar Galgoczy, one grandson, Julian Galgoczy of Framingham, Massachusetts and one granddaughter, Catherine Galgoczy of Wickford, Rhode Island.
Mrs. Galgoczy is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Julius Galgoczy who passed away on January 13, 1969, and by one brother.
Memorial Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, September 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis Molnar her church pastor officiating.

Alice R. Kirschler age 73 of 190 Spring Run Road, Butler, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 4:15 a.m. at her home.
Born in West Freedom, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harry Stewart and Rhoda Keefer Stewart.
Mrs. Kirschler had formerly been employed at Bobbie Brooks and at Mine Safety Appliance in Evans City, Pennsylvania.
She attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, and enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, square dancing and crocheting.
Mrs. Kirschler is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Eric (Penny) Montgomery of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ken (Regina) Callen of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Thomas (Christine) Hicks of Butler, Pennsylvania, two sons, John S. MacGregor of Lorain, Ohio and Guy A. MacGregor of Warren, Ohio, one step-daughter, Mrs. Jason (Beth) Gagen of Hyde Park, Pennsylvania, on step-son, Robert Callen of Scottsdale, Pennsylvania, by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Irene Alworth of West Freedom, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Betty Williams of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Susan Cricks of Sligo, Pennsylvania and by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kirschler was preceded in death by her husband Larry Kirschler and by two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
