Mary G. Graham, age 79 of Lincoln Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 8:45 p.m. in Concordia Lutheran Care.
Born August 22, 1926 in Franklin Township, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Ralph G. Cooper and the late Jennie Mae Shuster.
Mrs. Graham in her earlier years worked for Sears Department Store as a clerk, then for Quaker Cleaners in Butler, Pennsylvania, then at Sunnyview Home in the housekeeping department. Mrs. Graham retired in 1988. She was a member of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Graham is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Carmen (Mabel) Oliva of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Ruth Lens of Wildwood, Missouri and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd David Graham and who passed away on November 16, 1973 and also by an infant son.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, April 3, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Timothy Bupp of Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Axel F. Martenson
March 21, 1912 - March 26, 2006
Axel F. Martenson, age 94 of Frewsburg Rest Home, Frewsburg, New York, formerly of Durant Avenue, Jamestown, New York, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 12 noon in the Heritage Green Health Care Center, Greenhurst, New York.
Born March 21, 1912 in Kane, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Hugo Martenson and the late Jennie Nyberg.
Mr. Martenson was a hotel manager for Richford Operating Corp. in Buffalo, Erie, and Rochester. He was a member of First Baptist of Dunkirk, New York. He was a member of the State Civil Defense Commission; Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce; New York State Hotel and Motel Association and the New York Republican State Committee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II in the Pacific Theatre (Y 2C Special Assignment).
Mr. Martenson is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Martenson was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne M. Andres Martenson and also by three bothers three sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 30, 2006 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut, Pennsylvania.
Alma Jane Fritch
January 31, 1920 - March 25, 2006
Alma Jane Fritch, age 86 of Germaine Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 5:11 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born January 31, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Timothy H. Frederick and the late Gertrude Shearer.
Mrs. Fritch was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also a life member of Tanglewood Senior Center, A.A.R.P. and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. and the Tri State Music Association.
Mrs. Fritch is survived by her close companion, Carl L. Rettig of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sons and their wives, Timothy and Sandra Watterson of Little Rock, Arkansas, William and Becky Watterson of Butler, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mrs. James (Judy) Rettig of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Robert (Mary Jane) Weisenstein of Butler, Pennsylvania; Marjorie Watterson and her fiancée Dennis Filges also of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Helen E. Domke of Butler, Pennsylvania; one brother, Donald W. Frederick of Clearwater, Florida; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, five step children, a number of step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fritch was preceded in death by her first husband Howard Watterson on July 30, 1971 and her second husband Wilbert J. Fritch on January 3, 1988 and also by four sisters.

Eleanor G. Andre, age 76 of East Rockenstein Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at 7:25 p.m. in Concordia Lutheran Care, Cabot, Pennsylvania.
Born December 30, 1929 in Meridian, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Donald A. McKnight and the late Pearl Garvin.
Mrs. Andre was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an alumni of Butler High School. Mrs. Andre enjoyed bowling, gardening, and camping. She was a member of the Maqueda #421 Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Andre is survived by a daughter, Susan Andre of Reston, Virginia; a sister, Mrs. George (Edith) Snyder of Corry, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Ralph McKnight of Butler, Pennsylvania, Frederick McKnight of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania, James McKnight of New Castle, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Andre was preceded in death by her husband, R. Clarence Andre whom she marriage on June 27, 1949 and who passed away on October 19, 1999, and also by two sisters and five brothers.

Stanley B. Matuszewski, age 70 of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 8:10 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 14, 1935 in Grove City, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Sylvester Matuszewski and the late Mary Chestley.
Mr. Matuszewski was self-employed. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Fenelton, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Matuszewski is survived by his wife, LaVaune E. Voland Matuszewski, whom he marriage on February 28, 1959, and by two sons, Michael Howard Matuszewski of Huntsville, Alabama, Daniel Paul Matuszewski of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Worthy of Royal Oak, Michigan, Mrs. Chester (Agnes) Lapa of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and by eight nieces and five nephews.
Mr. Matuszewski was preceded in death by one sister.

Florence A. Kocher

Florence A. Kocher, age 81 of Randy Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 10:14 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 17, 1924 in Karns City, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Joseph Shakley and the late Mary Elizabeth McElroy.
Mrs. Kocher had worked formerly at the Spaide Shirt Factory and the Bantam Jeep Factory both in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School class. Mrs. Kocher was a member of the Kaylor Grange, Women of the Moose #64, U.C.T. and the City Police Women's Auxiliary.
Mrs. Kocher is survived by her husband, John I. Kocher whom she marriage on March 12, 1947, by three daughters, Kathryn Kocher of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Neal (Rhonda) Jarrett of Temple, Texas, Mrs. Daniel (Sheila) Uber of Corsica, Pennsylvania; one son, Mr. John W. Kocher of Duncanville, Texas; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Mrs. William (Margaret) Swigart of Karns City, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kocher was preceded in death by one son, two sisters, and one brother.
