Loretta Jane (Shipman) Looman, age 81 of Brownsdale Manor, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 8:15 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 22, 1924 in Norton, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Robert Goyan Shipman and the late Ora Gale Currence Shipman.
Mrs. Looman was an English teacher for Webster County Schools in West Virginia, retiring in September 1985. She was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church and former member of the Webster Springs United Methodist Church in Webster Springs, West Virginia. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Delta Honorary teaching sorority. Mrs. Looman was a founding member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at Wesleyan College. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Looman is survived by one daughter Glenda L. Merritt, wife of Reverend Bruce K. Merritt of Penn Township, Pennsylvania; three grandsons, Daniel Merritt and his wife Julie of Seneca, Pennsylvania, Andrew W. Merritt of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Samuel F. Merritt of Penn Township, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Velma) Jackson of Chester, West Virginia; one niece and four nephews.
Mrs. Looman was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Looman who passed away on November 18, 1996 and by one brother Ronald R. Shipman.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Dean Ziegler, the District Superintendent of the Butler District United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Union Church Cemetery, Tallmansville, West Virginia.

Earl Binkerd
November 16, 1913 - March 8, 2006
Earl Crisswell Binkerd, age 92 of McCandless Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at his home of natural causes.
Born November 16, 1913 in Miller Eddy, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Robert Crisswell Binkerd and the late Cora Terwilliger Binkerd Oswald.
Mr. Binkerd was an active member of North Butler Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses from July 1, 1940.
Mr. Binkerd is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mae E. Bailey of Karns City, Pennsylvania; four nephews, Robert Bishop and William Weibel of Karns City, Pennsylvania, Cris Binkerd and Gary Binkerd of Kansas City, Missouri; six grand nieces, six grand nephews; and his good friend and caretaker, Kenneth Brophy of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Binkerd was preceded in death by his wife, Louise E. Kummer Binkerd, by his twin sister June Binkerd Bishop Weibel and younger brother Robert D. Binkerd.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, March 13, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall Of The Jehovah's Witnesses, 157 Unionville Road, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Homer L. Johnston, Jr., age 61 of Maplewood Road, West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at his residence
Born March 21, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Homer L. Johnston and the late Willo E. Blackwell.
Mr. Johnston, was a structural ironworker for Local #3, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U. S. Navy Seabees. He was an outdoor person who enjoyed duck hunting with his two dogs.
Mr. Johnston is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Kelly) Bowser of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Wayne (Mandy) Combs of California, Maryland; two grandchildren, one brother, Charles D. Johnston of Alameda, California and by two nieces and two nephews.

Bertha C. Cassioli, age 86 of Sunnyview Home, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Wiltshire Avenue and New Haven Court died Friday, April 28, 2006 at 8:45 in the Sunnyview Home.
Born January 27, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late George Hergenroeder and the late Margaret McComosky.
Mrs. Cassioli was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Church. Mrs. Cassioli was formerly active in TOPS and was a volunteer in the Cherry Tree Shop at Butler Memorial Hospital and the cafeteria at St. Michael's school.
Mrs. Cassioli is survived by three sons, Richard Cassioli of Soulsbyville, California, Thomas Cassioli of Turlock, California, George Cassioli of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mary Beth Cassioli of Altedena, California; four grandchildren: Casey and Bennett Cassioli, Gina Anderson, and Donna Hung, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cassioli was preceded in death by her husband, Aldo J. Cassioli who passed away on March 30, 2003 and also by two brothers, Thomas and George Hergenroeder and a sister Peggy Snyder.

Ruth Clicquennoi Schoeffel

Ruth Clicquennoi Schoeffel, Age 91 of The Lowrie House, Butler, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 5:19 P.M. at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on December 7, 1911 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William F. Milleman and Della Flinner.
Mrs. Schoeffel worked as a bookkeeper for F.D. Milleman & Sons Heating and Cooling Co. and later as a salesperson for Troutman's department store. She was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband John G. Clicquennoi on December 12, 1971 and her second husband Harry Schoeffel on December 25, 1999.
She is survived by one son, John Clicquennoi of Tarentum, Pennsylvania, two step-daughters, Mary Jo Schoeffel of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Mrs. George (Sandra) Knauff of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother William Milleman of St. Augustine, Florida, two sisters, Mrs. Alma Ramsey of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Keller of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, two nieces and one nephew.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husbands was one sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. on Friday, October 3, 2003.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., October 4, 2003 at 10:30 A.M., with the Reverend Jim Gascoine of Center Methodist Church in Natrona Heights officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
David S. Galbraith

David Simpson Galbraith, age 89 formerly of Wiltshire Avenue and Outlooke Pointe Sarver, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at 4:05 a.m. in the Saxony Health Center.
Born October 1, 1916 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Seth C. Galbraith and the late Junilla Rhea.
Mr. Galbraith was retired as a custodian for AK Steel. He was a member of Community Alliance Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Galbraith is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Esther Kroh, Mrs. Ruth Walborn, Mrs. Dorcas Parsons all of Cabot, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Galbraith was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Albert Galbraith who passed away on March 21, 2002 and also by one brother, Seth Galbraith.

Opal M. Smith, age 84 of Sunnyview Home, formerly of Kaufman Drive died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:59 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 28, 1922 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late George S. Moser and the late Gertrude Jackson.
Mrs. Smith worked in the food service department for Butler Area School District. She previously attended Hill United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Smith loved gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Kenneth E. Smith and his wife Lou Ann of Toms River, New Jersey; one daughter, Karen L. Shultz of Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur O. Smith who passed away on November 29, 1968 and also by four brothers, four sisters and her infant great-grandson.
