Isabel Kidd Baird, age 84 of Hidden Meadows Circle, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, formerly of Sawmill Run Road, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 1:57 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 1, 1922 in Adams Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John H. Kidd and the late Sophie Ida Blakeley.
Mrs. Baird was a homemaker. She was a member of Meridian United Presbyterian Church. She was a longtime Amway distributor and a volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center in Butler. Mrs. Baird was active in her church, a member of the Sarah Women's circle and the women's association.
Mrs. Baird is survived by two sons, Ronald A. Baird of San Francisco, California, Randall W. Baird of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; six grandchildren, one Great-grandson, one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Walter of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Pete" Baird, Jr. who passed away on December 14, 1995, and also by seven sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 14, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Stephen N. Cahoon of Meridian United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Contributions may be made to the Meridian United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 4150 Highland Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.
Marion L. Engel
July 25, 1917 - April 10, 2006
Marion L. Engel, age 88 formerly of Sunbury Fields, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, April 10, 2006 at 8:06 a.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born July 25, 1917 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late William G. Wilson and the late Emma Pearl Forcht.
Mrs. Engel was a homemaker. She was a life long member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Engel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judith E. Hemphill of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Jeanne E. Lower of Clifton Springs, New York; and three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mrs. Engel was preceded in death by her husband, J. Walter Engel who passed away on November 4, 1975 and also by one brother.
There will be no public visitation or service.

Leonard M. Kresh
October 6, 1959 - April 4, 2006
Leonard M. Kresh, age 46 of Daytona Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 11:10 a.m. in the Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Born October 6, 1959 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania he was the son of Rudolph E. Kresh, Jr. and Anna Rose Tanczos.
Mr. Kresh was the lead computer operator and assistant to the controller for Realty Growth Corp., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 10 years. In 1977 he was a foreman for Umbaugh Pole Building Company for several year. Mr. Kresh was Roman Catholic and a former member of St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Butler. He was an avid sports fan especially auto racing including NASCAR, Formula I and Indy Cars. He was an avid mechanic and enjoyed fishing. He was a 1977 graduate of Butler High School.
Mr. Kresh is survived by his parents, Rudolph and Anna Kresh, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; two brothers, David E. Kresh of Washington, Pennsylvania, Daniel H. Kresh of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Irene M. Rosati of McDonald, Pennsylvania, Teresa M. McDowell of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kresh was preceded in death by his nephew Jacob Kresh.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 9, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Father James Salberg of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jacob Kresh Memorial Fund, Diocese of Pittsburgh, 111 Boulevard of the Allies, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222.
Donna M. Hawryliak
June 28, 1934 - April 4, 2006
Donna M. Hawryliak, age 71 of North Bluff Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 11:00 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born June 28, 1934 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John Sanderson and the late Clara Weaver.
Ms. Hawryliak was a merchandise manager for Gaylords for 22 years, at Woolworths for 8 years and at Thrift Drug for 4 years retiring in December of 2002. She was Protestant by Faith and a Butler High School graduate, class of 1953.
Ms. Hawryliak is survived by her son and his wife, David and Amy Hawryliak of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter and her husband, Diana and Clyde Crispen of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandsons and their wives, David and Annie Crispen, Allen and Cassie Crispen; three granddaughters, Samantha Hawryliak, Hannah Hawryliak, Alexandria Hawryliak; three great-grandsons, David Crispen, Jr., Nathan "Bo" Crispen, Allen Crispen, Jr.; one brother, Edward Sanderson of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Hawryliak was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Thelma J. Thomas

Thelma J. Thomas, age 73 of Shanahan Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 12:10 p.m. in the Butler V A Medical Center.
Born July 5, 1932 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late George Divers and the late Hazel Sanderson.
Mrs. Thomas was a nurse's aide for Veteran's Administration Hospital retiring in 1983. She was a member of North Street Christian Church. Mrs. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Waves where she served as a hospital corpsman. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and an alumni of Butler High School class of 1950.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Judith Thomas of Prospect, Pennsylvania, Kathryn Thomas of Butler, Pennsylvania; one grandson, one brother, Donald Divers of Chicora, Pennsylvania and by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Thomas who passed away on May 7, 1969 and also by one sister and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert C. Huber of North Street Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Gary Jordan
February 5, 1963 - August 1, 2003
Gary W. Jordan, 40, of 307 E. Jefferson St. died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Cannonsburg.
Born Feb. 5, 1963, in Butler, he was a son of James and Isabelle Maze Jordan. He was a laborer for a sawmill.
Mr. Jordan was Protestant. He is survived by his father of Butler; a daughter, Brittany Jordan of Girard, Ohio; a son, Cody Jordan of Girard, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Punk Webb of Fenelton; a brother, Danny Jordan of Butler, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
At this time, there is no visitation or funeral service planned.
