Joseph A. O'Leary
Joseph A. O'Leary, 82, of 143 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill, died Monday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of Helen (Seiler) O'Leary. They observed their 26th wedding anniversary last July.
He was employed by the former Diversified Metals Company, Hometown, until retiring, and previously had worked in the No. 8 Colliery of the former Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company, Lansford, for many years.
Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late Jerome and Nan (Kennedy) O'Leary.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 316 and the Diligence Fire Company No. 1, both of Lansford.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a brother Jerome of Summit Hill; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy McAlpin and Mary Zeiser.
The Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Joseph H. Kean
Mrs. Mary T. Kean, 83, of Lehigh Township, died Monday in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Joseph H. Kean. They observed their 61st wedding anniversary last April.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Sadie (Yost) Keglovitz.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Berlinsville.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, the Rev. Joseph of Holy Family Villa, Bethlehem; a daughter, Mary Louise, wife of Bruce Trexler of Lehigh Township; a sister, Angela Shurdak of Bethlehem; three brothers, William of Largo, Fla., Raymond of Wind Gap and Dr. Alfred of Saylorsburg; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ralph T. Honey
Ralph T. Honey, 81, of Effort R.3, died Monday in the Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Bernice M. (Kessler) Honey. They would have observed their 57th wedding anniversary this month.
He was employed by the former Blue Ridge-Winkler Textile Company, Inc., Bangor, until retiring in 1977.
Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late George and Lillian (Tremayne) Honey.
He was a member of the Slate Belt Baptist Church, Wind Gap.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Lee of Saylorsburg and David of Coudersport, Potter County; two daughters, Barbara Fedorchick of Wind Gap and Joan Kresge of Effort; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donald E. Ferrey
Donald E. Ferrey, 75, of Allentown, died Monday in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Sarah L. (Dreisbach) Ferrey. They observed their 45th wedding anniversary last June.
He was a receiving and shipping clerk for the former King's department store, Allentown, for five years before retiring in 1962.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Elmer J. and Florence A. (Fulmer) Ferrey.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Allentown.
Ferrey studied dance and tap at the former Gudie Studio of Dance, Allentown, for more than 30 years and was a member of Five Star Entertainment, Allentown, where he performer old soft-shoe and tap dance for more than 13 years.
In 1995, he win second place at Trexler Mall's "Strut Your Stuff" talent show when he danced to "Old Soft Shoe."
The deceased was a member of the Allentown String Band, Municipal Opera of Allentown, Northeastern Pennsylvania String Band and Keystone String Band of Lehighton. He showcased with Al Albert at the Whitehall Mall.
Ferrey was an Army veteran of World War II.
He played Santa Claus at the Whitehall Mall for more than 20 years.
Surviving in addition to his widow is a brother, Elmer J. Jr. of Bethlehem.
Mrs. Margaret N. Hanosek Whitby
Mrs. Margaret N. Hanosek Whitby, 92, formerly of Fullerton, died Monday in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill, Bethlehem. She was the widow of James Whitby and Frank Hanosek.
Born in Beaver Run, Lehighton R.D., she was a daughter of the late John and Louise (Reabold) Wimmer.
She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown.
Mrs. Whitby was a former president of the Pennsylvania Association of National Catholic Women's Union and a member of the National Catholic Women's Union.
Surviving are two sons, Francis J. Hanosek of Allentown and Robert J. Hanosek of Bartlett, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Lorraine Phillips of Bethlehem; 12 grandchildren and fur great-grandchildren.
Ralph E. Miller
Ralph E. Miller, 83, of Hometown, Tamaqua R.2, died Monday in his home. He was the husband of Mary (Waseline) Miller. They were married for 60 years.
Prior to retiring, he was a truck driver for the Mitchel Transport and Lehigh Portland Cement companies.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Arthur and Emma (Titus) Miller.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Ralph A. of Richboro, Bucks County, and Richard of Reevesdale, Tamaqua R.D.; a daughter Joan, wife of Harold Barron Jr. of Hometown; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Anna M. Nocchi
Mrs. Anna M. Nocchi, 84, of 807 Schwabe St., Freeland, died at her home on Sunday morning. She was the widow of Anthony Nocchi.
She owned and operated Nocchi's Tavern in Freeland for many years.
Born in Freeland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Yalch) Hydock.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean, wife of Alfonse Rish, Sandy Valley; three sisters, Pauline Torxell of Allentown, Mary Kuntz of Lehighton, and Irene Guy of Jim Thorpe; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Helen E. Brady
Mrs. Helen E. Brady, 88, formerly of 230 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua, died Monday in the Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wayne, Pa. She was the widow of Cornelius J. Brady, who died in 1986.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed at the former Tamaqua Cigar Store.
Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late William and Emily (Gill) Miller.
Mrs. Brady was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Lithuanian Catholic Church, Tamaqua, and graduated from the Mahanoy Township High School.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence E. Brady of Newport, N.C.; a sister, Elizabeth O'Hora of State College; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Cornelius and William Brady; two brothers, John and William Miller; and a sister, Ethel McNiff.

Steven Comisac Jr.
Steven Comisac Jr. of Tamaqua R3, died this morning in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Lois (Moser) Comisac.

Mrs. Anna Marchetti
Mrs. Anna (Secone) Marchetti, 78, of 318 Clark St., Tamaqua, died Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Twp. She was the widow of Samuel D. Marchetti, who died in 1991.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a bundler at the former Purling Mills, Tamaqua.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Vincentza (Rita) Secone.
The deceased was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas S. of Emmaus, Blase L. of Tamaqua and Alfred D. of Barnesville; a brother, William Secone of Tamaqua; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Secone.
