Joseph T. Pachorkowsky
Joseph T. Pachorkowsky, 48, of Palmerton R.2, died Monday in the St. Luke Hospital, Bethlehem.
He was a welder and millwright for the Bethlehem Steel/Centec Division.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of Delores (Fritz) Green of Slatington and the late Joseph Pachorkowsky, and a stepson of Dorothy Pachorkowsky of Virginia Beach, Va.
An Army veteran, he was a member of the Palmerton VFW Post.
Surviving in addition to his mother and stepmother are a son, Joseph J., and a daughter, Jessica G., both of Roseto; a stepbrother, Raymond C. Kehm of Orlando, Fla.; a half brother, Harold Green of Slatington; and a stepsister, Bonita L. Nacke of Virginia Beach, Va.
The Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, is in charge of the arrangements.

Breiner addition
Barry E. Breiner of 172 Spruce St., Tamaqua, who died unexpectedly Monday, served aboard the USS Enterprise as a gunner's mate during his years of active military service.

Gillespie services
Funeral services for Edward F. Gillespie, 70, of 218 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill, who died Monday morning in the emergency room of Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, and military graveside services and interment in the parish Cemetery , White Bear, Summit Hill. Calling hours are scheduled from 6-9 o'clock tonight in the funeral home.

Mrs. John Trella
Mrs. Anna R. Trella of 1514 Kaywin Ave., Bethlehem, died Tuesday in the Muhlenberg Hospital Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of John Trella. They were married for 54 years.
Born in McAdoo, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Wallga) Grybose.
She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, John Jr. of Allentown; two daughters, Anne Marie, wife of William Smith of Hudson, Fla., and Theresa Spengler of Bethlehem; a sister, Sophia Greybush of Bethlehem; a stepbrother, Michael Yagodzinski of McAdoo; and three granddaughters.

Mrs. Anna Huber
Mrs. Anna Huber, 90, of Whitehall Township, died Tuesday in her home. She was the widow of Joseph J. Huber.
She was a weaver for the former Frank's Associates Silk Mill, Northampton, for many years before retiring in 1945.
Born in Slovakia, she was a daughter of the late John and Katerine (Kovalcik) Emerick.
She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton, where she was a founding member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Legion of Mary Group. She was a past president of the Branch 443, Forst Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, and a life member of the Laurel Fire Company Auxiliary, Cementon.
Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy, wife of Maynard Strohm of Bethlehem, Sister M. Josanne, at home, and Maryanne, wife of Edward Pohl of South Whitehall Township; three sons, Ernest of Whitehall, Richard of Bethlehem and Joseph Jr. of Walnutport; 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Clair P. Herman
Clair P. Herman, 93, of Allentown, died Monday in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Margaret E. (Bennecoff) Herman. They observed their 64th wedding anniversary last September.
He was a dock worker for the former Branch Motors, Allentown, for eight years before retiring in 1969, and previously had worked for the former Pavia Shuttle Company, Allentown, for 29 years.
Born in Weisenberg Township, he was a son of the late Herbert P. and Mamie E. (Kuhns) Herman.
He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion Union Church, Maxatawny.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Clair C. of Dallas, Luzerne County; a brother Kenneth of Kutztown; eight sisters, Irene, wife of Ernest Kern, Marian, wife of Russell Reimert, and Mrs. Myrtle Dietrich, all of Kutztown, Mrs. Violet E. Heffner of Fleetwood, Mrs. Ruth Dries in Texas, Mrs. Marie Nelson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Althea Eisenhard of Reading and Betty, wife of Robert Long of Allentown; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Edward J. Boyle Sr.
Edward J. Boyle Sr., 69, of Aydlett, N.C., formerly of Virginia Beach, Va., died Friday in a Virginia Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Helen (Durich) Boyle. They were married for 50 years.
He was a former police officer in Norfolk City, and previously had retired from the federal government as a computer analyst.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Morgan and Nellie (O'Donnell) Boyle.
He was a member of the Jarvisburg Church of Christ.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Edward J. Jr. of Virginia Beach; six daughters, Sandra, wife of Don Stump of Newport News, Va., Deborah, wife of Larry Johnston of Virginia Veach, Gail, wife of Leon Proffitt of Chesapeake, Va., Cathy, wife of Johnny Miller of Grandy, N.C., and twins Patricia Boyle and Pam Hunter, both of Aydlett; two brothers, John J. of Easton and Frank R. of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Helen Guarente of Pinehurst, N.C., and Mary Lewis of McGaheysville, Va.; seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert F.

Leonard Scheese
Leonard Scheese 59, formerly of Lansford, died suddenly May 18, in his home in Harbor City, Calif. He was the husband of Marsha Scheese.
He was an engineer for the Xerox Company.
Born in Lansford, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Scheese.
He was a 1956 graduate of the former Lansford High School.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, a sister, Carol Matula of Glenside; a brother Donald of Minnesota and a granddaughter.
Services will be held in California.

Alvin S.E. Eckhart
Alvin S.E. Eckhart, 81, of 2559 Gap Viw Road, Slatington, died Tuesday in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Ellen (Fritzinger) Eckhart and the late Lauretta (Walck) Eckhart. He and his second wife observed their 26th wedding anniversary in March.
He was a supervisor and chase operator in the west plant of the former New Jersey Zinc Company, Palmerton, before retiring in 1977 after 43 years of services.
Born in Towamensing Township, he was a son of the late Harry and Lydia (Smith) Eckhart.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Slatington, and the Little Gap Grange, where he was a former guide.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Barbara, wife of Barry Schoch of Palmerton; two sons, Alvin L. of West Bowmans and Leonard of Lehighton; a stepdaughter, Karen Grammes of Slatington; two stepsons, Richard Grammes of Slatington and Donald Grammes of Wescosville; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi George of Palmerton and Mrs. Ruth Serfass of Weatherly; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son Barry.

Robert J. Kostishion
Robert J. Kostishion, 52, of Tamaqua, formerly of Jim Thorpe, died Wednesday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
Born in Jim Thorpe, he was a son of the late John A. and Anna (Stianche) Kostishion.
Surviving are three brothers, John of Perkasie, Wilfred of Bowmanstown and Edward of Easton; and six sisters, Arlene Voigt of San Antonio, Tex., Jean Grow of Easton, Lucille Bohlinger of Silver Spring, Md., and Marianne Lauer, Ann "Nan" and Maureen Hoppes, all of Jim Thorpe.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Volvski.
The David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center St., Jim Thorpe, is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald E. Bruch
Donald E. Bruch, 72, of Delmar, Md., died Tuesday in his home following a bout with cancer. He was the husband of Shirley Bruch.
He was a retired electrical engineer for the federal government.
Born in Jim Thorpe, he was a son of the late Guy and Laura Bruch.
He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Delmar, and American Legion Post 166, Ocean City, Md.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Jennifer of Ocean City; a stepson, Terry Richter in Pennsylvania; a stepdaughter, Roxanne Miller in Maryland; two sisters, Margaret Gulden in Florida and Jeanine Crostley in Pennsylvania; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
The Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove St., Delmar, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. David T. Pituch
Mrs. Nicole M. Pituch, 22, of 20 W. Bertsch St., Lansford, died Wednesday in her home. She was the wife of David T. Pituch. They observed their first wedding anniversary in February.
She was a hostess at the Beacon 443 Diner, Lehighton.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of Jack Hager of Jim Thorpe and Marge (Skelly), wife of Larry Schnell of Franklin Township.
The deceased was a member of Diligent Fire Company, Jim Thorpe.
Surviving in addition to her husband, father, mother and stepfather are two sons, Jacob Tout and Kodie Pituch, both at home; a stepson, David J. Pituch; paternal grandparents, Jack and Claire (McMahon) Hager Sr. of Jim Thorpe; a brother, Staff Sgt. Scott Stout, stationed with the Thunderbirds at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev.; and a sister Bridget, wife of Richard Murphy of Lansford.
The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, is in charge of the arrangements.

Floyd J. German
Floyd J. German, 65, of 4101 Main St., Slatedale, died Wednesday evening in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Mae E. (Hess) German.
The Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Rt. 143, Jacksonville, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. George Buckowski
Mrs. Stella P. Buckowski, 80, of Aiea, Hawaii, died Sunday in the Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. She was the wife of George Buckowski.
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a registered nurse.
Born in Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Zebleckes.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jan and George J.; and two sisters, Aldona Delay of Tamaqua and Margaret Whiting of Staten Island, N.Y.

Daniel E. Halladay
Daniel E. Halladay, infant son of Daniel and Christine (Stidham) Halladay of 226 W. Ridge St., Coaldale, was stillborn Tuesday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a step-sister, Danayell M.
The E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

John C. Hirsch
John C. Hirsch, 72, of 17 Fleming Court, Long Valley, N.J., died Wednesday in the Northwest Covenant Hospital, Dover, Del. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Behr) Hirsch.
He had been employed as the manager of the Hansel and Gretel Meat Packing Company in New York.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Chester and Anna (Krause) Hirsch.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A 1943 graduate of Tamaqua High School, he received a degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University.
He also owned and operated the Country Emporium Restaurant, SR 209, in the Poconos. He retired in 1993.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Janeen A. Konnyu of Long Valley, N.J.; two brothers, Charles of New Ringgold and William H. of Newton Falls, Ohio, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Klingaman of Tamaqua; and two grandchildren.
The E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

Frank C. Krepak
Frank C. Krepak, 70, of 123 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died Wednesday in his home. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Wenzel) Krepak.
Prior to retiring, he had been a self-employed refrigeration repairman. He had also worked for Lehigh Valley Dairy, Allentown, and the former LNC Company, No. 14 breaker and colliery.
He was a veteran of World war II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Andrew and Eva (Pavuk) Krepak.
The deceased was a member of the Coaldale American legion and the Tamaqua Elks Lodge 592.
Surviving with his widow is a daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Krell of Tamaqua; a son, Richard Krepak of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Irene and Helen Krepak, both of Tamaqua; two brothers, John of Shreveport, La., and George of San Diego, Cal.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Michael, and two sisters, Susan Krepak and Ann Harkovich.
The Jon M. Zizelmann Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Dorothy Stanek
Dorothy Stanek, of 225 E. Fell, St., Summit Hill, died this morning at her home. She was the wife of Frank Stanek.
The Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, is in charge of arrangements.
