Mrs. Anna M. Morykan, 68, of 607 Main St., Stockertown, died
Saturday in Easton Hospital. She was the widow of Peter Morykan. She
worked at Kraemer's Textile Co., Nazareth, before retiring. Prior to that
she worked for the former St. Regis Co., Nazareth
Walter P. McHale
Walter P. McHale, 69, of Albrightsville died Friday in the Department
of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of
Kathleen (Quinn) McHale. He was an attorney in Morristown, N.J. before
retiring. A Marine Corps veteran, he was a member of the VFW Post in
Seaside Park, N.J.
Mrs. Agnes Redling
Mrs. Agnes Redling, 86, of Hackensack, N.J. formerly of New York
City, N.Y., died Sunday in Hackensack Medical Center. She was the widow of
Joseph Redling.
Ricahrd J. Butcavage
Richard J. Butcavage, 53, of 10 Catawissa St., Tuscarora, died this
morning in his home. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Jones) Butcavage.
Mrs. Ralph E. Kern
Mrs. Mary A. Kern of 337 Kiddie Lane, Walnutport, died Saturday in
Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Ralph E. "Sonny"
Kern. They would have observed their 30th wedding anniversary on Dec. 25.
She was a process checker for Western Electric and AT&T, Allentown, for
32 years before retiring in 1981.
Mrs. Maurice C. Kelly
Mrs. Lorraine M. Kelly, 79, of Country Meadows, Bethlehem Township,
died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of
Maurice C. Kelly. They were married for 57 years.
Mrs. Hazel M. Baehler
Mrs. Hazel M. Baehler, 82, of Allentown, died Saturday in ManorCare
Health Services, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Ralph R.
Baehler. She worked for H&K Vacuum Cleaner Service, Bethlehem, from
1950 until retiring in 1970. Previously she was floorlady for the former
Charis Corporation, Allentown, for 20 years.
Mrs. Margaret Barabas
Mrs. Margaret Barabas, 71, of Owl Creek, Tamaqua R.1, died Sunday in
Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. She was the widow of John
Barabas, who died in May 1996.
Mrs. Mamie Seyfried
Mrs. Mamie "Dolly" Seyfried, 71, of 1801 Newport Ave, Northampton,
died Saturday in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She
was the widow of Harvey R. Seyfried who died in 1993. She was a garment
worker for the former Northampton Dress Factory.
Annette M. O'Neill
Annette M. O'Neill of 224 First St., Weatherly, died Saturday evening
in Hazleton General Hospital. A licensed practical nurse, she worked at the
former Carbon County Home, Laurytown, and at one time was employed at
the former Allen Candy Factory, both of Weatherly.
Michael Craynock
Michael Craynock, 78, of 10 W. Center St., Mahanoy City, who was
reported missing Sept. 23, was found dead Friday outside Mahanoy City. He
was employed as an electric motor mechanic for Westinghouse
Corporation, Detroit, Mich., until retiring. Craynock was a Navy veteran of
World War II.
Mrs. Claire E. Fitzpatrick
Mrs. Claire E. Fitzpatrick, 102, of 29 Hickory Park, Cortland, N.Y.,
formerly of Allentown and Harrisburg, died Thursday in the Cortland Care
Center. She was the widow of John J. Fitzpatrick.
Jospeh Peters.
Joseph Peters, 78, of Allentown died Friday in Lehigh Valley
Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was a dishwasher for restaurants in the Lehigh
Valley for many years having last worked for the American Association of
Retired Persons Volunteers of American, Westminster Elder Care,
Allentown, until retiring in 1994.
Jacob G. LeVan
Jacob G. LeVan, 97, of 45 Tudor City Place, New York, N.Y. formerly
of Mauch Chunk and Lehighton, died Saturday in the Dewitt Nursing Home,
Manhattan, N.Y. During World War II he served the government as an
explorer in South America in search of rubber trees for the war effort. He
was also a personnel director at Guarantee and Trust Bank, New York City.
Marion H. Pozarowski
Marion H. Pazarowski, 70, of Brodheadsville, died Saturday in St.
Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She had assisted in providing home health care
in Monroe and Northampton counties for the past 10 years. Previously she
had been a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in New Jersey and a
supervisor for Englehardt Industries, Newark, N.J., for eight years.
Mrs. Mary Jane Serfass
Mrs. Mary Jane Serfass, 78, formerly of 513 White st.,
Bowmanstown, died Saturday in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Convalescent
Center, Mahoning Township. She was the widow of Curtis W. Serfass.
Michael J. Quigley
Michael J. Quigley, 88, of 687 Bee Hollow Drive, Lehighton, died
Thursday in his home. He was the husband of the late Helen B. (Schott)
Quigley. He was a miner at the former Lansford Colliery before retiring.
