Mrs. Freida Frassinelli
Mrs. Freida Frassinelli, 92, of 1 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, died Sunday in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Convalescent Center, Mahoning Township, following a long illness. She was the widow of Phillip Frassinelli, who died in 1971 at the age of 79.
She worked at the Bayuk Cigar Company, Bethlehem, for several years. She and her husband operated Frassinelli's Grocery Store at 19 N. Market St., Summit Hill, for 40 years before they retired in 1957.
They lived briefly in Hometown following retirement, but returned to Summit Hill in 1958 and bought and refurbished the historic 125-year-old home at 1 W. Ludlow St.
Born in San Daniel, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Maria and Celeste Zolli, and had immigrated to the United States in 1918 at the age of 14.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill.
Mrs. Frassinelli was a past president and secretary of the Italian-American Mutual Benefit Lodge of Carbon County.
Surviving are three sons, Charles of Summit Hill, John of Bluefield, W. Va., and Bruce of Oswego, N.Y.; a stepsister Rina, wife of Alfred Narzisi of Bethlehem; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Zenop, Gervaso and Chierro.

George C. Johnson
George C. Johnson, 72, of 207 Creekside Drive, Lehighton, died Saturday morning in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
He was a retired farmer, having owned and operated the Johnson Farm in the Beltzville Dam area of Towamensing Township.
Born in Towamensing Township, he was a son of the late Adam and Mary (Christman) Johnson.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville, where he taught Sunday school for more than 20 years.
Johnson also belonged to the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Stanley.
The Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, is in charge of the arrangements.
William T. Evans
William T. Evans, 81, of Minquadale, Del., died Friday in the Riverside Extended Care Pavilion, Wilmington, Del. He was the husband of Thelma Evans, who died in 1988.
He was a chemical operator for the Atlas Powder Company, later ICI Americas, Atlas Point plant, retiring in 1977 after 28 years of service.
The deceased was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Atlas Retirement Luncheon Club.
Surviving are a son, William D. of Philadelphia; and a daughter Jan of New Castle, Del.
Gary L. Eckhart
Gary L. Eckhart, 40, of 140 Lappawinzo Road, Northampton, died Saturday in his home.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Willard J. and Virginia E. (Sherman) Eckhart of Northampton.
He was a member of the Egypt United Church of Christ, Whitehall Township.
He was a volunteer helped to the mechanics at Kohler Brothers body shop, Northampton.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a twin brother, Barry L. of Northampton; three brothers, Louis I. of Catasauqua and James C. and Clifford W., both of Northampton; and four sisters, Martha A., wife of William Schaffer of Goodyear, Ariz., Sylvia J., wife of David Kranch, and Linda L., wife of Richard Weber, both of Coplay, and Debra A., wife of Charles Borger of Danielsville.
Mrs. Alice E. Brader Henninger
Mrs. Alice E. Brader Henninger, 78, of Bethlehem, died Sunday in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Robert R. Henninger Sr. and Clarence H. Brader.
She was a sewing machine operator for the former Nelson and Company, Fountain Hill, for 28 years before retiring in 1967.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Wallace B. and Susan (Tice) Rothrock.
Surviving are a son, Richard W. Brader, and a daughter, Patricia A. Merkle, both of Bethlehem; a stepson, Ronald W. Henninger of Pine Island, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Linda B., wife of Edward C. Moyzan of Bethlehem; a brother, William B. of Quakertown; a half-brother, Larry Rothrock of Bethlehem; two half-sisters, Sandy Karpa of Bethlehem and Judy Combs in Virginia; a stepsister, Betty Kuklentz of Palmerton; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jane Keller; and a stepson, Robert R. Henninger Jr.
Mrs. Lois W. Tingley
Mrs. Lois W. Tingley, 85, of 4066 Sycamore Drive, Northampton, died Sunday in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She was the widow of Charles K. Tingley.
Born in Danville, Montour County, she was a daughter of the late John G. and May (Angle) Mitchell.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are three daughters, Charlene K., wife of Joseph Mondak of Northampton, Janet L., wife of William Mingle of Bridgewater, N.J., and Margaret M., wife of Henry Miller of Quincy, Fla.; a sister Margaret, wife of Trengrove Wheeler of Wanaqua, N.J.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
William J. Keller
William J. Keller, 63, of Wescosville, died Friday in his home. He was the husband of Mary E. (Bastian) Keller. They observed their 42nd wedding anniversary last January.
He was a pressman for Day-Timers, East Texas, for more than 16 years before retiring in 1994.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Walter Keller and Louise S. (Schuon) Welty.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trexlertown, where he was a former president of the council.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, David C. of Jim Thorpe; a daughter, Judith A., wife of Stanley T. Krutsick of Coplay; three sisters, Ruth L., wife of James R. Welty of Snellville, Ga., Mary A., wife of Donald G. Leidich of Newnan, Ga., and Ann L. Kozy of Nashville, Tenn.; three stepbrothers, Donald Bush in Arizona, James R. Welty of Snellville and William J. Welty of Emmaus; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Myra L. Kendall
Mrs. Myra L. Kendall, 86, of Allentown, died Friday in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne E. and Leonard J. Mozeko, with whom she resided.
The deceased was the widow of William H. Kendall.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John Sr. and Margaret (Purcell) Lanshe.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Allentown.
Mrs. Kendall was a graduate of Allentown Business School.
She was a past president and life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She chaired the food concession and organized volunteers for the annual Shower of Roses celebration at the Carmelite Monastery, Coopersburg, for more than 40 years.
Surviving in addition to her daughter are two brothers, Jerome P. and Daniel L., both of Lanark; two sisters, the Rev. Mother Mary Elizabeth, O. Carm., of Lanark, and Justine Polaha of Slatington; two granddaughters and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Marilyn Sansburry
Mrs. Marilyn Sansburry, 74, of 900 Mickley Road, Whitehall Township, died Friday in the St. Luke Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the widow of Emmett Sansburry.
She was an executive secretary in the Saudia Arabia division of the U.S. Treasury, Washington, D.C., before retiring in 1986.
Born in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of Rowena Jenkins Blush of Whitehall, with whom she resided, and the late Barney Weaver.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a sister, Kay Benson of Walnutport; and nieces and nephews.
Robert J. Anderson Jr.
Robert J. Anderson Jr., 76, of 5300 Russel Court, Whitehall Township, died Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Hazel J. (Elston) Anderson.
He was a packer at M & M Mars, Hackettstown, N.J., for five years, and previously was a milk truck driver for 30 years for H.L.F. McBrides, Goshen, N.J.
Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Anna (Edwards) Anderson.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Anderson was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Nancy, wife of Dale Tift of Slatington; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Irene M. Carr
Mrs. Irene M. Carr, a guest at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Mahanoy City, died Saturday afternoon in the manor. She was the widow of James Carr, who died in 1984.
Before retiring, she worked at the City Shirt Company, Mahanoy City.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Mariken.
She was a member of St. Canicus Catholic Church and the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, both of Mahanoy City, and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
The deceased was a 1940 graduate of the former Mahanoy City High School.
Surviving are two sons, Gerald of Allentown and Joseph of Southampton, N.Y.; two daughters, Joyce, wife of Floyd Baskerville of Bethlehem, and Janet, wife of Thomas Deffley of Barnesville; two sisters, Frances Toomey of Philadelphia and Ann Tucker of Red Bank, N.J.; eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
Joseph S. Clay
Joseph S. "Bud" Clay, 86, of 708 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, died Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Elnora (Brooks) Clay. They were married for seven years.
His first wife, the former Marie Long, died Nov. 11, 1986. They had been married for 51 years.
Clay was an agent for the Prudential Insurance Company for 31 years before retiring in 1971, having worked in the Nesquehoning and Penn Forest Township areas and later in the Kresgeville and Gilbert areas.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Gordon S. and Malinda (Bierman) Clay.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in the Heights section of Jim Thorpe, where he was a choir member for many years and also served on the council.
Clay served on the former Mauch Chunk Council for many years.
An avid fisherman and hunter, he was also known for his baking skills. He was secretary of the Chateau Sportsmen's Club in Lackawaxen for 40 years.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Constance, wife of Edward F. Melber Sr., and a son, Ralph W., both of Jim Thorpe; two stepdaughters, Debra, wife of Gerald Masavahe of Palmerton, and Cheryl, wife of Michael Salla of Plano, Tex.; seven stepsons, Anthony, Charles, Vincent and Wayne Vasiliou, all of Summit Hill, Carl Vasiliou of Lansford, Nicholas Vasiliou of Hellertown and Robert Vasiliou of Mahanoy City; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Puschock, Mrs. Lorraine Serfass and Blanche, wife of Kermit Ruff, and two brothers, Gordon and Norman, all of Lehighton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Naomie Sensinger, Mrs. Margery Walck and Mrs. Geraldine Hill.

Mrs. Esther M. Snyder
Mrs. Esther M. Snyder, 93, formerly of Fogelsville and Wescosville, died Sunday in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Lee R. Snyder.
Born in Albany Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Alfred S. and Ellen (Levan) Bond.
She was a member of Jacob's United Church of Christ, Jacksonville.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ernest L.
Mrs. George V. Boyle
Mrs. Grace E. Boyle, 79, of 536 E. Union St., Tamaqua, died Sunday evening in the Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the wife of George V. Boyle.
Born in Jim Thorpe, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Weaver) Gallagher.
She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
Surviving with her husband are five sons, Joseph of Fleetwood, George Jr., Dennis Sr., Francis Sr. and Eugene Sr., all of Tamaqua; three sisters, Irene Mann and Patricia Smith, both of Jim Thorpe; and Clar, of Georgia; four brothers, Jack of Georgia, Francis of California, Ronald of Penn Forest Township, and James of Jim Thorpe; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Bernard, Edward and Thomas; a sister, Josephine Flannigan; and three grandchildren.

Greg C. Wetterau
Greg C. Wetterau, 43, died Saturday in his home in Baltimore, Md.
He had been a self-employed, private technology consultant.
Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Thelma (Linkhorst) Wetterau.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.
He is survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
