Mrs. Daisy E. Wolfe
Mrs. Daisy E. Wolfe, 86, formerly of the high rise in Lehighton, died Wednesday in the Integrated Health Services Nursing Center, Plymouth, Montgomery County. She was the widow of Charles T. Wolfe, who died June 26, 1981.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Sara (Ahner) Kunkle.
She was a member of the Long Run Church of the Brethern, Franklin Township.
Surviving are three daughters, Anna, wife of Cosmo Filandino of Norristown, Shirley, wife of Harold Kresge of Conshohocken, Montgomery County, and Charlotte, wife of James Mastrocola of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three sons, Arlan of Ardsley, Montgomery County, Wilbur of Norristown and Clarence of Jim Thorpe; 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Fay Sheckler, who died on Aug. 31; two sons, Charles Jr. and Lamont; seven brothers and four sisters.
The Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, is in charge of the arrangements.
Ronald J. Parsons
Ronald J. Parsons, 61, of Saylorsburg, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Verna A. (Buskirk) Parsons. They observed their 41st wedding anniversary last December.
He was a tractor-trailer driver for Silver Line, Inc., Wind Gap, for 35 years before retiring in 1994.
Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Mrs. Marion (Miller) DeSanto of East Stroudsburg and the late Milton Parsons, and a stepson of the late Anthony DeSanto.
He was a country and bluegrass musician, having been a member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Boys Band. He was the first chairman and a founding member of the Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association and a member of the Penny Bluegrass Association.
Parsons also belonged to Teamsters Union Local 773, Allentown, the Wind Gap American Legion Post and the Kunkletown Rod and Gun Club.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are a son, Craig R., and a daughter, Rhonda Jean Ace, both of Saylorsburg; two sisters, Carol Strawdinger of Effort and Catherine Scoble of Northport, Fla.; a stepbrother, Robert DeSanto of East Stroudsburg; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Brian J. Hollenbach
Brian J. Hollenbach, 28, of 106A Market St., Tamaqua, was dead on arrival Wednesday at the Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Kimberly A. (Frederick) Hollenbach.
He worked for the Bemis Co., Inc., West Hazleton.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of Robert L. and Donna (Welker) Hollenbach of Tamaqua.
He was a 1986 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 1987 graduate of Allentown Business School.
Surviving in addition to his widow and parents are a son, Aaron M., at home; a brother, Richard A. of New Holland, Pa.; paternal grandparents, William Hollenbach of Bethlehem and Ruth McHugh of Tamaqua; and maternal grandparents, Wilmer and Kathryn Welker of Tamaqua.

George R. Kunkel
George R. Kunkel, 82, of Kempton, Albany Township, died Wednesday in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Mildred M. (Sittler) Kunkel. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary in May.
He was a store clerk for The Wood Co., working at Kutztown University for 17 years before retiring in 1986 due to illness. Before that, he was a farmer in Albany Township.
Kunkel was a constable in the township from 1940-86.
Born in Lynn Township, he was a son of the late Warren and Beulah (Rausch) Kunkel.
She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of New Bethel Union Church, Kempton R.2, where he was a former deacon.
The deceased was a member and past president of the Kempton Rod and Gun Club; a member of the Kempton, Lynnport, Kutztown and Virginville fire companies, the Union Fire Company, Hamburg, and the Hamburg Fish and Game Association.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sisters, Miriam, wife of Clifford Reichel of Kutztown, and Mrs. Arlene Kistler of Trexlertown; and five brothers, Howard of Kempton, Clarence and Ellis, both of Kempton R.2, Herman of Allentown and Clayton of Lenhartsville R.1.
Mogensen survivors
Additional survivors of Jane E. Mogensen, 87, of 4714 Maple Drive., Walnutport, who died Sunday in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill, Bethlehem, include a brother, Sid Wilson of Winter Haven, Fla., and a sister, Sylvia Wilson of Waldo, Ohio.
Borger survivor
Among the survivors of Mrs. Pauline J. Borger, 72, of Kunkletown R.2, who died Tuesday in the Palmerton Hospital, is a sister, Edna Kleintop of Kunkletown, whose first name was incorrect in yesterday's obituary.
George Krevenko
George Krevenko, 103 Maple St., Freeland, died Sunday at the Hazleton General Hospital.
Before retirement he was a welder in the shipyards of Baltimore.
Born in Sandy Run, Luzerne County, he was the son of the late Metro and Anna (Hudak) Krevenko.
Surviving are three sisters, Anna Botelho, with whom he resided, Margaret Soltis of Freeland, and Helen Willoski of Barnesville; and many nieces and nephews.
DeSilva services
Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth H. DeSilva, 98, of 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, a native of Summit Hill who died Oct. 11 in the Mennonite Home, Lancaster, will be held at noon Saturday in the GAR Cemetery , Summit Hill.
She was the widow of George E. DeSilva and a daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (Derby) Haughton.
Michael Matyola
Michael Matyola, 77, of 740 Upper Niss Hollow Drive, Lehighton, died early this morning in the Mahoning Valley Nursing Home. He was the husband of Julia K. (Koba) Matyola. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on July 4.
Born in Dover, N.J., he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Pak) Matyola.
He was chief of police in Dover for 31 years, retiring in 1982.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Lehighton American Legion Post, a life member of the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association, and East Penn Sporting Association.
Surviving with his widow is a daughter, Carole Joy, wife of Michael Kubal of Gatorsburg, Md.; four brothers, Charles and Frank, both of Mount Hope, N.J., John of Randolph Township, Dover, N.J., and William of Rockaway, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Falko of Mt. Hope, N.J., Mariane, wife of William Bran denberg of W. Palm Beach, Fla., and Pauline, wife of William Fortune of Wisconsin. Also two grandchildren.

Lillian Laughlin
Lillian Laughlin, 64, of 222 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died Friday in the Pottsville Hospital. She was the wife of Cornelius Laughlin of Levittown.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance (Cominski) Spucosky.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Robert of Levittown; two sisters, Eleanor, wife of Richard Daley of Rochester, N.J., and Alice, wife of Earl Ohl of Tamaqua; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Rose Behe.

Peter P. Ball
Peter P. Ball, 86, of Tamaqua R.2, Hometown, died Friday in Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He as the husband of Anastasia (Abel) Ball,. They were married 62 years.
Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late John and Sophie (Wawrzonek) Ball.
He worked as a machinist for the former Duplan Co., Hazleton.
He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Hazleton.
Surviving with his widow is a daughter, Kathryn, wife of Joseph Orsulak, Bossier City, La.; a brother, Msgr. Edward S. Musial of Conshohocken; a sister, Sophie Wanyo of McAdoo, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ralph W. Miller
Ralph W. Miller, 68, of Pilesgrove Township, died Sunday in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Eunice (Cottrell) Miller.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Herbert and Edith (Spellman) Miller. He lived in the Philadelphia area since 1950.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon graduation from West Chester University, he taught math and science at Carson Long Institute in Broomfield, and came to Salem High School in 1951 to teach math.
He had also been employed by DuPont Chambers Works for 34 years, working in quality control and computer groups.
He was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Salem, where he served many years as a vestryman and lay reader.
Surviving with his widow is a son, David Miller of Woodstown; a brother, Clayton Miller of Rockville, Md.; three sisters, Mildred Amos of Lansford, Ann Hixson of Allentown, and Catherine Juiffre of Camp Hill.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean,; a daughter, Jean, and a brother, Richard.
Funeral services were Wednesday in Salem.
Roger S. Snyder
Roger S. Snyder, 51, of Bloomsburg R.3, Luzerne County, died Thursday in the Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra (Saylor) Snyder. They were married for 26 years.
He was a sports broadcaster for television station WYLN-35, Hazleton-Bloomsburg-Berwick, and was instrumental in starting the station six years ago.
Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late Verna Snyder.
Active in sports, he was a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association basketball referee and baseball umpire; an umpire in the International League and the Eastern College Athletic Association; and an assigner of baseball and softball officials in the Schuylkill League.
Snyder was also instrumental in starting the Big Buddies program in Hazleton and was a member of the Greater Hazleton Athletic Club.
The deceased was a member of the Black Creek United Methodist Church, Sugarloaf, Luzerne County.
He attended Kutztown University before joining the Air Force and serving during the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Nicole of Hazleton; and a son Aaron, at home.
Forrest F. Krechel
Forrest Franklin Krechel, 73, of Milford, N.J., died Wednesday in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Pauline (Serfass) Krechel. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in February.
He was a machinist at the James River Corporation, formerly the Riegel Paper Company, Milford, for 31 years before retiring in 1985, and previously had worked at Sun Ship, Philadelphia, for four years.
Born in Kresgeville, he was a son of the late David and Mary (Frantz) Krechel.
He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Riegelsville, Bucks County.
Krechel was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7857, Milford-Frenchtown.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Betty Ann, wife of Joseph Coffini of Green Bay, Wis.; three brothers, Joshua of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Henry of Kunkletown and Martin of Wickenburg, Ariz.; three sisters, Louise Mason of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., Mary Young of Phoenix, Ariz., and Estella Altemose of Saylorsburg; and a grandson.

Ronald J. Wilkinson
Ronald J. Wilkinson of 1016 Ridge St., Freeland, died Wednesday evening in the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Theresa (Bereznitsky) Wilkinson.
He was employed as a woodworker at the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
Born in Highland, he was a son of Clara (Kluck) Wilkinson of Freeland, and the late Willard W. Wilkinson.
He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Freeland, and was also a member of the Freeland Elks and Hazleton Bowling Association.
He was an Army veteran, serving from 1960-63.
Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are two daughters, Kathleen A. and Allyne Jo, both at home; four brothers, Raymond of Weatherly, Eugene of Freeland, James of Middleburg and David of Jeddo; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Wanda of Bethlehem and Mrs. Richard (Eleanor) Schneider of Freeland; and nieces and nephews.
DeSilva services
