Mrs. Russel F. Scheirer
Mrs. Melba M. Scheirer, 84, of 645 Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, died
Sunday in Palmerton Hospital. She was the wife of Russel F. Scheirer. They
observed their 63rd wedding anniversary last November She was an
organist and choir director for 40 years before retiring in 1990.
Previously she was a clerk at Palmerton Hospital and an office manager
for Palmerton Dairy.
Morgan infant
Thomas David Morgan, son of Thomas A. Morgan and Paula S.
Holderman, both of Slatington, was stillborn Sunday in Palmerton Hospital.
Mrs. Oscar G. Kimble
Mrs. Irene S. Kimble, 86,of 414 Arlington St., Tamaqua, formerly of
East Norriton, Montgomery County, died Monday in Hometown Nursing
Center, Tamaqua R.2. She was the wife of Oscar G. Kimble. They observed
their 59th wedding anniversary in May. A registered nurse,she worked at
the Fairview Nursing Home, Roxborough, Philadelphia County, before
retiring in 1976.
George E. Callan
George E. Callan, 76, of 109 Valley St., Brockton, died Tuesday in
Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Anna Mae (Blickley)
Callan.
Lewis C. Copeland
Lewis C. Copeland, 95, ex-chief of the chemical section of the
former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, died on Aug. 17 in his Marblehead,
Mass., home. He was the husband of K. Frances (Pitcher) Copeland. They
were married 66 years. He began his employment with the Zinc Co. in 1930
and retired in 1964.
John J. Nicholson
John J. "Jack" Nicholson, 69, of Mount Laurel, N.J., formerly of
Moosic, Lackawanna County, and Merchantville, N.J., died Saturday in his
summer home in Jim Thorpe. He was the husband of Lorraine (Walsh)
Nicholson. He was employed by RCA in Moorestown, N.J., before retiring.

George E. Callan
George E. Callan, 76, of 109 Valley St., Brockton, died Tuesday in the
Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Anna Mae (Blickley)
Callan. He was a mailman for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring, and
was also an area guitar teacher for many years.
Mrs. Peter P. Schneider Sr.
Mrs. Effie D. "Dannye" Schneider, 73, formerly of Northampton, died
Tuesday in the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center I, Bethlehem. She
was the wife of Peter P. Schneider Sr. She was a loan officer for the
former Cement National Bank, Northampton, before retiring in 1985.
Eugene P. Ahner
Eugene P. Ahner, 74, of 307 Stone Mountain Road, Lehighton, died
Sunday in his home. He was the husband of the late Grace (German) Ahner.
He was last employed as a caster and metal molder for the Penn Dixie
Company, Bath.
Mrs. Nicholas Bartolacci
Mrs. Delia Bartolacci, 75, of Palmer Township, died Tuesday in the
Easton Hospital. She was the wife of Nicholas Bartolacci. They observed
their 51st wedding anniversary in May.
Vincent A. Melusky
Vincent A. Melusky, 73, of 222 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died Tuesday in
Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of Charlotte
C. (Rigotte) Melusky. He was last employed as a machinist at Hahn Motors,
Hamburg, Berks County, having retiring in 1970.
