George A. Salata
George A. Salata, 74, of Box 121, Buck Mountain, Weatherly R.2, died Tuesday at the Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Ann M. (Screenock) Salata.
Prior to retiring he was a maintenance supervisor at the White Haven Center.
Born in Lattimer, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Andrew and Suzanna (Biros) Salata.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Church and Citizens Fire Company, both of Weatherly.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, Joseph of West Hazleton, Genaro, Andrew and George, all of Pardeesville; three daughters, Sue Ann Pecile, Elizabeth DeLucca and Jean Belletiere, all of Hazleton; two brothers, Andrew of Hazleton, and Joseph of Lattimer; three sisters, three sisters, Betty Dozeski, Helen Betterly and Suzanne Reganato, all of Hazleton; four grandchildren and a great grandson.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Thomas; and three sisters, Ann Feddor, Mary Salata and Verna Wiecziek.
Charles DeLucia
Charles J. 'Chas' DeLucia, 70, of 204 Arch St., North Catasauqua, died Monday, Nov. 4, in Muhlenberg Hospital Center. He was the husband of Irene T. (Lukish) DeLucia. They were married for 33 years in June.
He was a truck driver-salesman for Mutter's Pretzels Inc., Boyertown for 25 years before retiring.
Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late Alexander and Lucia (Genovese) DeLucia.
He was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, North Catasququa.
He was a life member of the Moose Club, Easton.
Surviving with his widow is a brother Frank of Whitehall Township and a sister, Jean Dichysyn of Palmerton.
He was preceded in death by a son, James H. Steckel.
Roberta K. Gross
Roberta K. Gross, 83, of Palatka, Fla., formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died Oct. 17 in Palatka Health Care Center. She was the widow of Paul Gross.
She was a nurse's aide before retiring.
Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Jane (Edwards) Kern.
She was a member of the DeRothchild Garden Club and the Homemakers Extension, both of Palatka.
Surviving is a son, Ronald P. of Palatka; two daughters, Linda Snyder of Interlachen, Fla., and Dianne Gross of Key West, Fla.; a brother, Thomas of Allentown; a sister, Jane Ann Balliet of Boca Raton, Fla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Julia C. Spade
Julia C. Spade, 88, of Allentown, died Monday, at her home. She was the wife of Bernard E. Spade. They were married 65 years in June.
Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Oprendic) Scott.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allentown.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Bernard G. of Allentown and Jerome of Fairless Hills, Bucks County; four daughters, Frances, wife of Frank Hadl Jr. of Saylorsburg, Marie, wife of Richard Yannes of Allentown, Diane, wife of Peter Carpenter of Alburtis, and Helene, wife of Paul Orslak of Duncanville, Texas; a brother, Joseph of Slatington; two sisters, Veronica, wife of Charles Lancsek, and Helen, wife of Henry Gallio, both of Slatington; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Margaret Cecelia Moyer
Margaret Cecelia Moyer, 80, of Swiftwater, died Tuesday in Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. She was the widow of Vincent E. Moyer.
Born in Chester, Delaware County, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Bridget (Conway) Doyle.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Tannersville, and its senior citizen group.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Whelen of Earleville, md., and nieces and nephews.
Helen I. Kostenbader
Helen I. Kostenbader, 94, formerly of Winters Avenue, Bethlehem, died Monday in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Paul J. Kostenbader.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late John Goodyear and Susan Goodyear Bailey.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bethlehem.
She was a past president of the Y Dames and a former member of the Tuesday Club, both of Bethlehem.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce K., wife of Harrison Newcomb of Leesburg, Fla., and Carol A. Ulrope of Palmyra, Va.; three sons, Paul D. of Allentown, Daniel J. of Jim Thorpe, and James T. of Bethlehem; a brother Richard of Independence, Mo.; two sisters, Genevieve Vacarro and Geraldine Herkalo, both of Easton; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Dobosh education
Mrs. Marian Alice Dobosh, 80, of 1 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, who died suddenly early Tuesday morning in her home, was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, class of 1933, and St. Luke's School of Nursing in Bethlehem in 1936.
Emily S. Boarder
Emily S. Boarder, 92, of 2335 Fairview Ave., Mount Penn, died Tuesday at her home. She was the widow of the late Paul Knepper and the late Bernell Boarder.
Born in Brownstown, she was a daughter of late William and Sadie B. Raezer.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Klein, Mount Penn; a brother, Harry Raezer of West Lawn; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Raezer, and a sister, Mariam Keefer.

Marie L. (Billman) Evans, 89, of 7 Vine Lane, Levittown, formerly of Tamaqua, died Tuesday evening at Langhorne Gardens nursing home, Langhorne. She was the widow of Norman Evans, who died in 1979.
Born in Lewistown Valley, she was a daughter of the late Griffith and Naomi (Baucher) Billman.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tamaqua.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Janet King of Levittown, with whom she resided; a sister, Mrs. Verna Scott, Catasauqua; a brother, arthur of Millville, N.J.; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Abner, Raymond and Claude.

Florence S. Schirer
Florence S. Schirer, 87, of 1412 North Wales Road, North Wales, Montgomery County, died Wednesday evening at the North Penn hospital in Lansdale. She was the widow of Martin E. 'Dick' Schirer Sr., who died in April, 1992.
Born in Walcksville, Franklin, Township, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Lillie (Markley) Ziegenfuss.
Surviving are three daughters, Mae, wife of Kenneth Yeakel Sr. of Franklin Township, Joan, wife of John Bowman, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Barbara Scassero of North Wales; two sons, Martin E. Schirer Jr. of Walnutport and Richard J. Schirer of Lehighton; one sisters, Mrs. Ada Sinsinger of Lehighton; 14 grandchildren, 14-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Smith, Mrs. Helen Keiser, Mrs. Arlene Getz, and Mrs. Dorothy Stuckley, and one brother, Arthur Ziegenfuss.
