Mrs. Eleanor Tarconish
Mrs. Eleanor 'Honey' Tarconish, 59, of 58 Washington St., Middleport, died Thursday evening in her home. She was the widow of Joseph 'Bugeye' Tarconish, who died May 20, 1996.
She had last been employed as a presser at State Manufacturing, New Philadelphia.
Born in Middleport, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Frances (Wojciechowski) Stefanek.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Philadelphia; past president of the Middleport Playground Association; a member of Mippleport Borough Council for two years; and a member of the Middleport American legion Auxiliary, Unit 144.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann Marie Govern of Middleport, Kathleen Boyer of Tamaqua and Theresa Hartzell of Shenandoah; three sons, Joseph III of Deer Lake, Edward of Locust Lake and Michael of Middleport; a sister, Lillian Bolinsky of Middleport; and 11 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Michael Stefanek.
The Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Walton F. Kolb
Mrs. Bertha Mae Kolb, 63, of Sellersville, died Wednesday in the Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of Walton F. Kolb. They observed their 43rd wedding anniversary last January.
She worked in the account receivable department of the hospital for more than 21 years before retiring in 1993, and previously was a clerk for Ametek, Inc., U.S. Gauge Division, Sellersville.
Born in Argus, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Katie (Seachrist) Underkoffler.
She was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley, where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Altar Guild for many years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Kenneth W. of Sellersville; a daughter Kathy, wife of Philip Holloway of Harleysville; two sisters, Pauline, wife of Paul Brensinger of Sellersville, and Mildred, wife of Glenn Frederick of Lehighton; three brothers, Robert G. of Blooming Glen, Marvin of Woxall and Richard of Loganton, Clinton County; and three grandchildren.
Scott D. Weiss
Scott D. Weiss, 25, of 6026 Bart Court, Washington Township, was pronounced dead Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, after a car accident in Washington Township.
He was a mason for Gruber's Concrete, Slatington, for the past year.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Eugene C. Weiss of Slatington and Diane E. (Wetherhold) Weiss, with whom he resided.
The deceased was a member of the R.F. Fritzinger Canteen of V.F.W. Post 7215, Walnutport.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Timothy J. of Slatington; maternal grandmother, Vera A. (Salter) Wetherhold of Schnecksville; paternal grandmother, Florence M. (Loch) Hunt of Walnutport; and maternal great-grandmother, Helen A. (George) Wetherhold of Allentown.
Mrs. Sara M. Barto
Mrs. Sara M. Barto, 92, formerly of Allentown, died Thursday in the Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, Lancaster County. She was the widow of Elden L. Barto.
She was a payroll clerk for the former Horlacher Brewery, Allentown, until retiring.
Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Lottie (Horney) Mosteller.
She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Louise, wife of Wayne G. Evans of Slatington; a son, James D. of Allentown; a sister Marie, wife of Lester Butz of Easton; a brother Rudolph of Franklin, Ind.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard E.
Rudolf Giesler
Rudolf Giesler, 88, formerly of Boyertown R.1, died Wednesday in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of the late Emma (Kubinski) Giesler.
He was a maintenance man for Cabot Performance Industries, Boyertown, for 20 years before retiring in 1974.
Born in Poland, he was a son of the late Anton and Helene Giesler.
He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown.
Surviving are a son Rudolf of Emmaus; two daughters, Henriette, wife of Willis Hoffman of Jim Thorpe, and Elli H. of Allentown; two brothers, Anton of Boyertown and Edward in Germany; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mary T. Malaska
Mary T. Malaska, 85, of 43 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, died Wednesday in the Sanctuary Personal Care Home, Jim Thorpe.
She was a sewer for the former Kiddie Kloes, Lansford, for many years before retiring.
Born in the former Little Italy section of Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Palita Boccicchio) Malcalscza.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, where she belonged to the Ladies Sodality.
Surviving are a sister, Stella Fauzio of Weatherly; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Patsy, Mauricwe, Angelo and Pete; and three sisters, Mary Coniglio, Catherine Caruso and Rose Rizzio.

Mrs. Eleanore M. Lee
Mrs. Eleanore 'Nora' M. Lee, 84, of 605 Arthur St., Hazleton, died Thursday afternoon in the Wineberg House, Hazleton. She was the widow of Anthony Lee, who died in 1971.
She was once employed at the Shirt Craft plant of Hazleton, from 1951 to 1978.
Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Marie (Angiolillo-Bertucci-Ciocci) Polumbo.
She was educated in Hazleton schools and was a member of Amalgamated Garment Union; Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton; and the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving are four sons, Anthony P. and Joseph T., both of Hazleton, Paul D. of Weatherly and James A. in Nevada; two brothers, Anthony Ciocci of Malibar, Fla., and Louis Polumbo of Beaver Meadows; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Anna) D'Alberto of Berwick and Mrs. William (Genevieve) Rotonno of Berkley Heights, N.J.; 28 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son Nathan, who was killed in the Vietnam War in 1968; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Thrash and Mrs. Josephine Grotovsky.
Robert Mustacchio
Robert Mustacchio, 65, of 134 E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, died Thursday in his home. He was the husband of the late Irene (Lisella) Mustacchio.
He was a self-employed electrician for over 40 years.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Thomas and Jennie (DeSantis) Mustacchio.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning.
Mustacchio was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Judy Kuhla of Jim Thorpe; and nieces.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Thomas.

John G. Puschock
John G. Puschock, 85, of 32 Brook Dr., Lehighton, died last evening in the Gnaden Huetten Nursing Center, Lehighton. He was the husband of Virginia (Clay) Puschock. They celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in June.
He had been employed as a field accountant for the Bureau of Employment Security for 35 years, retiring on Dec. 30, 1970. He worked out of the Harrisburg, Allentown and at the time of his retirement, Stroudsburg, offices. After that he worked for nine years as accountant for Lehighton Electronics Company.
Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Warholick) Puschock.
He was a member of Bethany E.C. Church, Lehighton.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Anne, wife of William Weaver of East Petersburg, Lancaster County; a stepdaughter, Linda, wife of Donald Stanko of Lexington, KY.; a brother, Joseph of Nesquehoning; a sister, Helen Seatro of Summit Hill; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, Michael, Wash and George; and two sisters, Ann Levitsky and Mary Tyalha.

Anna Kashner
Mrs. Anna Kashner, 89, formerly of Lansford, and a guest at the Beverly Manor, Reading, died Thursday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Michael Kashner.
