Mrs. Eleanor Tarconish
Mrs. Eleanor "Honey" Tarconish, 59, of 58 Washington St., Middleport, died Thursday evening in her home. She was the widow of Joseph "Bugeye" Tarconish, who died May 20, 1996.
She had last been employed as a presser at State Manufacturing, New Philadelphia.
Born in Middleport, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Frances (Wojciechowski) Stefanek.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Philadelphia; past president of the Middleport Playground Association; a member of Mippleport Borough Council for two years; and a member of the Middleport American legion Auxiliary, Unit 144.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann Marie Govern of Middleport, Kathleen Boyer of Tamaqua and Theresa Hartzell of Shenandoah; three sons, Joseph III of Deer Lake, Edward of Locust Lake and Michael of Middleport; a sister, Lillian Bolinsky of Middleport; and 11 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Michael Stefanek.
The Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
James John Clark
James J. Clark, 59, of Voorhees, N.J., died Monday at his home. He was the husband of Roselyn J. (DiMilio) Clark. They were married 30 years.
He was a teacher of English at Overbrook Regional High School and more recently at area county colleges.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Somerdale.
He was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph's University, he later received his master's degree from Villanova University.
He served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s.
Surviving with his widow is a son, Daniel G., two daughter, Paula J. and Patricia M., a brother, a sister and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in New Jersey.
Anna Kashner
Mrs. Anna Kashner, 89, formerly of Lansford, and a guest at the Beverly Manor in Reading, died Thursday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Michael Kashner.
She was a housekeeper in St. Stanislaus Rectory in Summit Hill and later in St. Ann Rectory in Lansford.
Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Camille Narusiewicz.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lansford, and also was a member of the Panther Valley Golden Age Club.
Surviving are five daughters, Dorothy, wife of Lou Janicek of Murietta, Ca.; Jean, wife of Edward ulsefsky of Reading; Jean, wife of Charles Horowski of Lansford; Christine, wife of George Skovran of Glostonbury, Conn.; and Mary Ann, wife of Anthony Eksterowicz of Jackson, N.J.; one son, William Abramowicz of Reading; a sister, Emily Maksimik of Stamford, Conn; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Theresa Shollberger and a sister Anette Campel.

Michael E. Stianche
Michael E. Stianche, 93, a resident of Weatherwood, Weatherly, died Friday in Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. He was the husband of the late Anna (Strepko) Stianche, who died in 1967.
He was a resident of Weatherwood since 1991.
Born in Hauto, he was a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Baran) Stianche.
He was the owner and operator of "Mickey's Place," a tavern in the village of Hauto until 1976. He was also employed by PennDOT for many years.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Nesquehoning since its inception.
Surviving is a son, Robert M. Stianche Sr. of Hauto, a daughter, Shirley Walters of Newtown square; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He wa preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Haliday, Ann Pisklak and Mary Stianche, and three brothers, Frank, Edward, and Joseph Stianche.
Funeral arrangements are being conducted by the David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center St., Jim Thorpe.
John C. Rosenblatt
John C. "Jack" Rosenblatt, 61, of 250 Pine Circle, Walnutport, died Friday at his residence. He was the husband of Dianne M. (Horvath) Rosenblatt.
Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late John and Lillie (Dieter) Rosenblatt.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Walnutport.
He worked as a truck driver for Myers men of Allentown.
A veteran, he served in the Army and Air Force and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association, and Local No. 773, Central, Pa. He was also a life member of the Disabled Amvets of Lehigh Valley.
Surviving is a daughter, Lori Ann, wife of Charles B. Burke of Palmerton; two brothers, Albert Rosenblatt of Chamblee, Ga., and Dale Paul of Durham, N.C.; one grandchild.

Frank H. Wernet
Frank H. Wernet, 83, of Effort, died Thursday in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Philadelphia.
He was the husband of Anita (Moysey) Wernet. They were married 52 years in October.
Born in Effort, he was a son of the late Frank A. and Amanda (Shupp) Wernet.
He had been an equipment operator for PennDOT 23 years, retiring in 1976. Before that he had been the manager of the Pohopoco Hotel in Effort from 1946 to 1953.
He was a member of the Effort United Methodist Church.
He was a motor pool sergeant with the Army Air Corps serving in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. He was also a lifetime charter member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.
He was a charter member of the West End Fire Co. in Brodheadsville.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, Frank J. Wernet of Effort and John G. Wernet of Kunkletown; a daughter, Linda J. Griggs of Hampstead, Md.; a sister, Helen Kresge of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
