Mrs. John S. Mikulsky
Mrs. Catherine Mikulsky, 87, of 45 S. Walnut St., Lansford, died Wednesday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. She was the wife of John S. 'Vince' Mikulsky. They were married for 58 years.
She worked at the former Kiddie Kloes, Lansford, and was last employed by the former Wargo garment factory, Coaldale.
Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Fada) Kielbasa.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lansford, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, John D. of Pittsford, N.Y.; two daughters, Maryann, wife of Raymond Boyer of Hometown, and Florence, wife of Ronald Weiss of Coatesville, Chester County; and eight grandchildren.
The Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Jennie S. Ackerman
Mrs. Jennie S. Ackerman, 89, of Allentown, died Wednesday in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Earl W. Ackerman.
She was the owner of Ackerman's Garage, Allentown.
Born in Cratetown, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Albert S. and Teresa (Sheats) Yawger.
She was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, Allentown, and attended Salem-St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kresgeville, in the summer.
Surviving are a son, William F., and a daughter, Martha M., both of Allentown; a niece whom she raised, Marian, wife of David Barid of Port Hueneme, Calif.; a brother George of Oldwick, N.J.; two sisters, Charlotte, wife of Kenneth Doolittle of Middletown, N.Y., and Mary Hildebrant of Flemington, N.J.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a nephew whom she raised, Earl Haines.
George W. Kocher
George W. Kocher, 82, formerly of Jim Thorpe, died Wednesday in the Adam's Manor Nursing Home, Scranton. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Hobbs) Stralkowski Kocher, who died in 1994,. and the late Grace (Rehrig) Kocher.
Prior to retiring, he managed the state liquor store in Jim Thorpe.
Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late George and Sarah (Bullock) Kocher.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe.
Kocher was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son Robert of Avon, Conn.; a granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Lee Rauch.
David L. Haydt
David L. Haydt, 50, of 218 Lehigh St., Walnutport, died Wednesday in the Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah L. (Carlton) Haydt.
He was a parts delivery man for NAPA, Walnutport, since March, and previously had worked as a planer operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 31 years before retiring earlier this year.
Born in Bowmanstown, he was a son of Mrs. Ethel M. (Mertz) Haydt of Lehighton and the late Lloyd E. Mertz.
Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are two sons, Stephen D. of Easton and Michael L., at home; a brother, Dennis L. of Palmerton; a sister, Patricia M., wife of Richard H. Strohl of Lehighton; and a grandson.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry D.
The Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, is in charge of the arrangements.
Haydt relatives
David L. Haydt, 50, of 218 Lehigh St., Walnutport, who died Wednesday in the Palmerton Hospital., was a son of Mrs. Ethel M. (Mertz) Haydt and the late Lloyd E. Haydt. He was also preceded in death by a brother Perry.
Mrs. Alex Kruszynsky
Mrs. Mary E. Kruszynsky, of 222 N. West St., Shenandoah, died Wednesday morning in the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Alex Kruszynsky.
She was a garment worker in the local dress factories.
Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Astromsky.
She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens, both of Shenandoah, and the International Garment Workers Union.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mary Ellen, wife of Tom Fore of Barnesville; and two grandchildren.

Mary Halladay
Mary Halladay, 79, of 136 Rhume St., Nesquehoning, died Wednesday in the South Mountain Restoration Center, Chambersburg, Franklin County.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Stempa) Halladay.
She was a member of St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning.
Surviving are three brothers, Stephan of San Jose, Calif., Nicholas of West Chester, Chester County, and George of Nesquehoning; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and John.
The Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 W. Center St., Nesquehoning, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kenneth L. Silfies
Mrs. Alma A. Silfies, 69, of 3730 Filbert Drive, Danielsville, died Wednesday in the St. Luke Hospital, Fountain Hill, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Kenneth L. Silfies. They observed their 46th wedding anniversary in June.
She was a sewing machine operator for Caesar's Apparel, Danielsville, for 22 years before retiring in 1989.
Born in Rockville, she was a daughter of the late Bert F. and Annie E. (Smith) Beil.
She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmanuelsville, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Debrah L., wife of Peter V. Fartuch of Schnecksville; three sisters, Mae C. Marsh and Arlene M. Fehnel, both of Bath, and Mary Ann L. Christman of Danielsville; seven brothers, Walter H., Paul J. and Carl R., all of Danielsville, Kenneth L. of Petersville, Bert H. of Bath, Harold F. of Cherryville and Ray A. of Macungie; and two granddaughters.
Mrs. Bertram Keichel
Mrs. Mary Lou Keichel, 47, of 39 Snow Hill Road, Northampton, died Wednesday in the Muhlenberg Hospital Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Bertram Keichel. They observed their 28th wedding anniversary in August.
She was a secretary for the former Winkelbauer Insurance Company, Northampton, and previously had worked in the same capacity for the Adult Community Education of the Northampton Area School District.
Born in Kingston, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of Herbert and Shirley (Austin) Jones of Whitehall Township.
The deceased was a member of Zion's Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersville, where she was a Sunday school teacher and the first female member of the consistory.
Mrs. Keichel was a volunteer for Crime Victims Council, Allentown, and an usher for the Pennsylvania Stage Company, Allentown, where she received an award for her outstanding community services.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two daughters, Melissa and Kristin, both at home; three sisters, Sheila, wife of Gary Bennett of Northampton, Candis, wife of Brian Landry of Orlando, Fla., and Pamela, wife of Donald Lerch of Slatington; and a brother, Michael W. of Catasauqua.
