Mary McGeehan
Mary McGeehan, 91, formerly of Nesquehoning, died Thursday in the Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of Own McGeehan.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Onefri) Navotny.
She worked in the Kiddie Klothes Factory in Lansford many years.
Surviving is a sister, Margaret Morman of Dorien, Ill.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen, Andrew, John, and Frank; and one sister, Verna.
Funeral services will be today in Wilkes-Barre.

Anna M. Burkhardt
Anna M. Burkhardt, 92, of the Gnaden Huetten Nursing Home, 211 N. 12th ST., Lehighton, died Thursday. She was the widow of the late Leonard M. Burkhardt who died in 1955.
She was co-owner and operator of the former LeRoy Shop on Third Street, Southside Bethlehem for many years before retiring in 1967.
Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Mentzel) Lawrence.
She was a member of The Cathedral Church of the Nativity, 321 Wyandotte St., Bethlehem.
She was a volunteer for Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem.
Surviving is a son, William L. Burkahrdt of Jim Thorpe; two daughters, Elizabeth A., wife of Robert F. Rowan of San Antonio, Texas, and Mary Jane Rheiner of Bethlehem. Also, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Charles and James Lawrence and one sister, Frances 'Tess' Jackson.

Mabel C. Murphy
Mabel C. Murphy, 89, of Kunkletown R.4, died Thursday in the Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. She was the widow of Early Murphy.
Born in Middle Creek, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Emma (Smale) Bollinger.
She had been a seamstress at the former Nova Sportswear in Brodheadsville for 13 years before retiring.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Gilbert. She also belonged to the Patriotic Order of Americans, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens, and the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, all in Kresgeville.
Surviving is a son, Neal Murphy of Kunkletown R.4; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Inc., Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Rose A. Arrone
Rose A. Arrone, 88, of 2762 Anita Drive, Dover, Pa., York County, and formerly of Coaldale, died Friday at her residence.
For many years she was employed at Philip & Jones and Rosenau Brothers factories, both of Lansford.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Check) Balazovich.
She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Coaldale, and was former vice-president of the Slovak Catholic Sokol.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia, wife of Robert Scutta, with whom she resided; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Boran of Hanburg; two brothers, Stephen Balazovich of Coaldale and William Balazovich of Tamaqua; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Michael Balazovich and a sister, Mary Balazovich.
The August M. Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, in charge of funeral arrangements.

Hermine L. Rhoads
Hermine Louise Rhoads, 64, of 862 1/2 E. Main St., Ephrata, and formerly of Palmerton, died Friday afternoon in Ephrata Community Hospital.
She was the wife of the Rev. Abraham E. Rhoads, an Evangelical Congregational Pastor. They were married 44 years last July 19.
Born in Raeville, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Francis X. and Maria (Binder) Weiss.
She resided in Ephrata the past year and a half, and resided previously in Palmerton, Pitman, Cressona, Hazleton, and Lebanon, where her husband pastored.
She was active in church activities in each of the congregations her husband was stationed.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Kathleen A., wife of Dale Rothermel of Pitman and Kristine K., wife of James C. Bean, Birdsboro; two sisters, Marie Reed of Lancaster, and Clara, wife of Clyde Hoagland of Clearwater, Fla.; also two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday in Ephrata.

Harvey N. Fogel
Harvey N. Fogel, 91, of 133 Seneca Road, Mahoning Township, died Friday at his residence. He was the husband of Flora (Eckhart) Fogel. They were married 71 years on Sept. 26.
He was a custodian for the Lehighton School District, working at the Mahoning Elementary School, retiring in 1969 after 13 years.
He was also a band leader and fiddle player for the Serenaders Country Western Band of Lehighton for 60 years, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of St. Johns U.C.C. of Lehighton.
He was a son of the late John E. and Bertha (Serfass) Fogel.
He belonged to the Mahoning Valley Golden Agers and the Mahoning Valley Fire Co., where he was a charter member.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, Harvey E. and Larry F.R. Fogel, both of Lehighton; a daughter, June E., wife of William Boger of Lehighton; a sister, Helen Kern of Palmerton; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Phyllis Haydt, who died in 1971.
The Kenneth N. Phifer Funereal Home, Third and Alum Streets, Lehighton, in charge of arrangements.

John J. Fahey
John J. Fahey, 76, of 1043 Main Road, Lehighton, died Friday at his home. He was the husband of Jessie (Berger) Fahey. They were married 38 years last Feb. 13.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Sypnisky) Fahey.
He was an assistant superintendent of train movement for Conrail, working out of the Bethlehem Terminal. He retired several years ago
He was a former Democratic Committeeman in Franklin Township, and recently received a commendation from the Carbon County Commissioners for voting 50 consecutive years.
He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton.
Surviving with his widow is a son, John J. Jr. of Alpha, N.J.; three daughters, Jessica, wife of Peter Petrack of Pittsburgh, Jacquelian, wife of Paul Weichman of Weatherly, and Jennifer Fahey of Ouiedo, Fla.; three sisters, Josephine, wife of Frank Dudley of Easton Eileen, wife of Joseph Baransky of Media, and Mary Theresa, wife of Lawrence Gallagher of Bethlehem. Also four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Leon, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Dougherty.
The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron Streets, Lehighton, is in charge of arrangements.
Fahey services
Funeral services for John J. Fahey, 76, of 1043 Main Road, Lehighton, who died Friday in his home, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, and interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery , Jim Thorpe. A calling hour will precede the services.
Among her survivors are a daughter Jennifer of Oviedo, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Dudley of Aston, Del.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leo.
