Mrs. Delthene L. Brownmiller
Mrs. Delthene L. Brownmiller, 80, of 1802 Lincoln Ave., Northampton, died Monday in ManorCare Health Services I, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Luther H. Brownmiller.
She was a presser for the former Northampton Dress Company for several years before retiring in 1978.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late James and Clara (Becker) Bair.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Northampton.
Surviving are two sons, Carlisle of Lehighton and Laird of Catasauqua; two daughters, Shirley D., wife of Richard Greb of Northampton, and Brenda, wife of William Egge of Pasadena, Calif.; a brother Wilfred of Whitehall Township; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Brian.
Mrs. Medardus R. Rehrig
Mrs. Evelyn S. Rehrig, 69, of 8585 Kings Highway, Kempton, died Monday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Medarus R. 'Buster' Rehrig. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in August.
She was a knitter for the former Burkey Knitting Mill, Hamburg, for 26 years before retiring in 1977.
Born in Greenwich Township, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Grace (Miller) Bailey.
She was a member of the Lynnport Fire Company Auxiliary.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Debra G., wife of Dr. Jonathan D. French of Emmaus; two sons, Terry L. of New Tripoli and Troy D. of Emmaus; a sister Irene, wife of Forrest Wessner of Kempton; three brothers, Arthur of Shoemakersville, Lester of Old Zionsville and Donald of Strausstown, Berks County; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Ann Haupt
Dorothy Ann Haupt, 32, of 205 White St., Weissport, was dead on arrival Tuesday at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, after being stricken in her home.
She was the night manager of the McDonald's restaurant on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Forest Township.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of Arlene (Bachman) Dombrosky of Jim Thorpe and the late Arthur Snyder.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a daughter, Eve Marie Snyder of Nesquehoning; a son, Jesse Franklin Snyder of Weissport; and three sisters, Diane, wife of Billy Williams, and Virginia, wife of Richard Dreher, both of Lehighton, and Cindy, wife of Daniel Bell of Jim Thorpe.

Dorothy E. Ruch-Halteman
Dorothy E. Ruch-Halteman, 78, of Lehighton, died Monday in the Palmerton Hospital.
She was employed as a seamstress for Jodi Fashions, Nazareth, for 10 years before retiring, and previously had worked for the former Clyde Shirt Company, Northampton, for 20 years.
Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Bertha (Hartzell) Hess.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Seemsville.
Surviving are two sons, Dale Ruch of Lehighton and Carl Ruch in Lebanon County; a daughter, Joan Ruch of Ringoes, N.J.; two brothers, Ernest of Slatington and Kervin of Northampton; a sister, Harriet Kellner of Northampton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Alan.
Mrs. Elizabeth Norwood
Mrs. Elizabeth Norwood, 81, of 7610 Clairmont Ave., Rowlett, Tex., formerly of Bethlehem Township, died Monday in the Lake Point Medical Center, Rowlett. She was the widow of Hubert Norwood, who died in 1988.
She last worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Easton High School.
Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Lillian (Cooney) Evans.
She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Palmer Township, and the William Parsons Chapter No. 185, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are two sons, Richard, with whom she resided, and David of Slatington; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Robert.
Raymond J. Sabol
Raymond J. Sabol, 65, of 325 Hazle St., Tamaqua, died Wednesday in his home following a lengthy illness.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by Tamac Manufacturing, Tamaqua.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Michael and Betty (Miske) Sabol.
He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua.
Sabol was involved with the Tamaqua Crime Watch program.
Surviving are fiur brothers, Leonard of Tamaqua, Michael of Middletown, Daniel of Stroudsburg and Lawrence in California; two sisters, Margaret Ripko in Georgia and Dorothy, wife of William Houser of Tamaqua; numerous nieces and nephews and a great-nephew.
The Roche Funeral Home, 237 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Mary C. Otto
Mrs. Mary C. Otto, 90, formerly of 704 Lehigh St., Jim Thorpe, died Tuesday evening in the Hometown Nursing Center, Tamaqua R.2. She was the widow of Joseph L. Otto Sr., who died in 1981.
She was a weaver for the former Zales Silk Mill, East Mauch Chunk.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Stiefrater) Bott.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.
Surviving are a son, Joseph L. Jr. of Jim Thorpe; a sister, Sister Rosemary, with the Sisters of Christian Charity, Danville; two brothers, Austin of Jim Thorpe and Raymond of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Mary Curran, who died in 1981, and a sister, Edna Meckes, who died in 1996.

Peter M. Shlanta
Peter Martin Shlanta, 90. of Box 274, Tamaqua R.3, died Tuesday in Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Anna (Polhanky) Shlanta.
Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a supervisor at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York.
Born in Mayfield, Lackawanna County, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Shlanta.
A graduate of Carbondale High School, he was a member of Genesis Lodge 201, F. and A.M., of Brooklyn.
The last immediate member of his family, he is survived by a son, Peter M., with whom he resided; a daughter, Sonia Mason of Lakewood; 11 grandchildren; and 3 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Pantene and Paul; and four sisters, Johanna Trumbell, Frances Perkins, Anna Krochta and Alice Billek.
