Michael S. Serina
Michael S. Serina, 69, of West Fifth Street, Pottstown, died Thursday in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Helen (Bazik) Serina.
He was a laborer for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation of Pottstown for 30 years and the Doehler Jarvis Corporation of Stowe for 13 years. He retired in 1989.
Born in Lansford, he was a son of the late Michael and Carolyn (Chech) Serina.
He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Pottstown, the Altar and Rosary and Holy Name societies of the church and the St. Aloysius Senior Citizens.
He was a Fourth Degree member of the Father Tomko General Assembly, Knights of Columbus, Bridgeport, and a Third Degree member of the Father Balley Council No. 1192, Knights of Columbus, Stowe.
Serina was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Michael J. of Royersford; two daughters, Rosemarie, wife of William Sparano of Pottstown, and Teresa, wife of Donald Vinciguerra of Reading; a brother Frank of Lansford; four sisters, Brenda Serina, M.S.C., of Reading, Esther, wife of Earl Giles of Long Island, N.Y., Mary, wife of Daniel O'Neil of Allentown, and Veronica, wife of Michael Bazik of Lansford; and six grandchildren.
The Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown, is in charge of the arrangements.
Ronald S. Ugolick
Ronald S. Ugolick, 60, of Newport News, Va., formerly of Tamaqua, died Thursday in the Hampton Veterans Hospital, Hampton, Va. He was the husband of Doris E. (Betz) Ugolick. They observed their 40th wedding anniversary in May.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, retiring as a technical sergeant.
Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Stanley J. and Frances (Sabutsky) Ugolick.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Ugolick was very active in scouting. While in Tamaqua, he was involved with the Boy Scout Troop at Trinity United Church of Christ. He was also involved with Troop 82 in Hampton, Va.
Ugolick was a member of the Order of the Arrow and served as a merit badge counselor. He also taught CPR for the Red Cross.
While in Amarillo, Tex., he worked with the Boy Scouts' Explorer Post.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Ronald C. of San Dimas, Calif., and John S. of Newport News; a daughter, Linda C. Hines of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Anna Mae Kanter of Macungie; and three grandchildren.
The Roche Funeral Home, 237 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.
William E. Newton
William Edwin Newton, 69, of 229 S. Main St., Bangor, died Tuesday in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the former husband of Jane (Puckey) Newton of Mount Bethel.
He worked at the Picatinny Arsenal, Picatinny, N.J., for 30 years before retiring.
Born in Avoca, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late Edwin W. and Myrah (Prentice) Newton.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
Among his survivors is a son Gary of Effort.
Mrs. Alyce Setar
Mrs. Alyce Setar, 87, of 1901 Linden St., Allentown, formerly of Lehighton, died Wednesday in the Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center. She was the widow of George Setar.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Carbon Sanitary Supply Company, Lehighton, for many years.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Asabyand Pauline Rehrig.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Lehighton.
Surviving are a daughter Joanne, wife of the Rev. Morgan S. Haney of Allentown; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Reid of Lehighton; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Rita Callavini
Mrs. Rita Callavini, 72, of Allentown, died Thursday in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She was the widow of John Callavini.
Born in Audenried, Banks Township, Carbon County, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Shaler) Osifat.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Allentown.
Surviving are a son, John J. of Tresckow; four daughters, Carolyn, Lorraine, wife of Terence Beers, and Donna Montz, all of Allentown, and Rita, wife of Thomas Hawk of Bath; two brothers, Joseph of McAdoo and John of Harrisburg; four sisters, Irene, wife of Paul Fagan of Hazleton, Mary Ann, wife of James Scarpati of McAdoo, Julie, wife of Eugene Stratchko of Greenbelt, Md., and Margaret Palmer of West Hazleton; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Eisenman.
Mrs. Nellie M. Stocker
Mrs. Nellie M. Stocker, 85, of 308 S. Second St., Bangor, died Wednesday in the Easton Hospital after being stricken at home. She was the widow of Walter Stocker, who died in 1986.
A graduate of East Stroudsburg University, she was an elementary school teacher in the Bangor, Pen Argyl and Nazareth area school districts for more than 40 years before retiring.
Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late James and Ida (Smith) Lobb.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bangor.
Mrs. Stocker was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons of the Slate Belt and the Bangor Women's Club. She was also a volunteer in the Bangor Area School District, helping with elementary classes.
Surviving are a sister, Mary M. Borger of Kunkletown; nephews and a niece.
Mark D. Feinour
Mark D. Feinour, 81, formerly of Kempton, died Wednesday in the Lehigh Manor, Lower Macungie Township. He was the husband of Pearl E. (Oldt) Feinour. They observed their 59th wedding anniversary this month.
He was a carpenter for contractor Harvey George, Virginville, for many years before retiring in 1980.
Born in Kempton, he was a son of the late Howard and Anne (Souerwine) Feinour.
He was a member of the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club and the New Tripoli Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a sister Arlene, wife of Fred Ebert of Lehighton; a brother Harold of Bethlehem; and nieces and nephews.
