Charles C. Kuhns
Charles C. Kuhns, 72, of 4758 Maple Drive, Walnutport, died Thursday in the Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Beatrice M. (Moyer) Kuhns.
He worked in the finish mill of the Coplay Cement Company for 30 years before retiring in 1978.
Born in Morgans Mill, he was a son of the late Clarence Kuhns and Helen (Muth) Grammes and a stepson of the late William J. Grammes.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Oplinger-Hower American Legion Post 899, Danielsville.
Kuhns was a life member of the Lehigh Township Fire Company Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Larry C. of Slatington; three daughters, Rose Steigerwalt, at home, Carol, wife of Dennis Eckhart of Northampton, and Carletta of Honesdale, Wayne County; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Eugene F. Kriner
Mrs. Alice M. Kriner, 73, of 633 Berger St., Emmaus, died Thursday in the Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She was the wife of Eugene F. 'Bud' Kriner. They observed their 54th wedding anniversary last month.
Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Sechler) Owens.
She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother Elwood of Slatington.
She was also preceded in death by a son James.
Mrs. Robert W. Masten Sr.
Mrs. Carrie M. Masten, 73, of Stroudsburg, died Wednesday in her home. She was the wife of Robert W. Masten Sr. They were married for 51 years.
She worked in the housekeeping department of Stroud Manor, East Stroudsburg, for 13 years before retiring in 1987.
Born in Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Hattie (Possinger) Frantz.
She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Linda K. Mason, at home; four sons, Robert Jr. and Ralph, both of Stroudsburg, Neil of East Stroudsburg and Wayne, at home; a sister, Shirley Possinger of Stroudsburg; a brother Franklin of Brodheadsville; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Walter L. Wirth
Mrs. Anna M. Wirth, 72, of the Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown, formerly of Orefield, died Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Walter L. Wirth. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary last May.
She was an assistant bookkeeper for the former Lehigh Motor Company, Allentown, for two years before retiring in 1946.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Bodish) Peichler.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Elizabeth A., wife of Marshall Solliday of Orefield, and Anna Marie, wife of Paul Galante of Allentown; a son, James W. of Orefield; a brother Rudolph of Slatington R.1; a sister, Helen Epser of New Tripoli; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Lillie J. Kline
Mrs. Lillie J. Kline, 96, formerly of 647 Franklin Ave., Palmerton, died Thursday in the Foulk Manor, Wilmington, Del. She was the widow of William C. Kline.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Howard J. and Emelina (Kleintop) Fatzinger.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Palmerton, where she was a past president of the Ladies Bible Class.
Surviving are two sons, Robert C. of Wilmington and William H.J. of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother Clair of Palmerton; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Helen M. Yarnall
Mrs. Helen M. Yarnall, 78, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Joseph R. Yarnall.
Born in Kresgeville, she was a daughter of the late Joshua and Mamie (Smale) Kresge.
She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Bethlehem.
Surviving are a son Jack of King of Prussia; two daughters, Shirley Ziegenfuss and Nancy, wife of Calvin Bartholomew, both of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Stephen Stianche
Stephen Stianche, 86, of Hauto, Nesquehoning R.1, died Friday morning in the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Matsick) Stianche, who died Sept. 4, 1990.
The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. John Hope
Mrs. Myrl Irene Hope, 73, of Hometown, Tamaqua R1, died Thursday in her residence. She was the wife of John Hope and the late William Gower.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a nurse's aide at the Hamburg State Hospital.
Born in Tamaqua R1, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Emma V. (Titus) Miller.
Mrs. Hope was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua and the Rpublican Women. She was a 1941 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Kathleen E., wife of Dale Herb of Kutztown, Suzanne Lee, wife of Richard Welker of Drums and Jonna Lynn Wagner of Tamaqua R1; one brother, Ralph Miller of Tamaqua R1; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Miller.
