Mrs. Hazel E. Blew-Thomas
Mrs. Hazel E. Blew-Thomas, 90, of Locust Valley, Schuylkill County, died Wednesday in the Hometown Nursing and Convalescent Center, Tamaqua R.2. She was the widow of Alfred Blew and Robert Thomas.
She was last employed by J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Hometown.
Born in Locust Valley, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Elmira (Yost) Cooper.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Locust Valley.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank E. of Horsham, Montgomery County, and Vernard G. of Locust Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

Sister Presentata Ligenza
Sister Presentata Ligenza, who lived at the Transfiguration Convent, 214 W. Green St., West Hazleton, died Wednesday in the Hazleton-St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late John and Angela (Kociolek) Ligenza.
She was in community for 70 years and taught school in the parochial system for more than 60 years, including 15 years of service at St. Stanislaus School, Hazleton. She also taught at Transfiguration School in West Hazleton for four years.
Surviving are two brothers, Silvester and Peter, both of Lansford; a sister, Theresa Kocon of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. John B. and Stanley; and a sister, Mary.
Services will beh held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Transfiguration Church, West Hazleton, with the Rev. Richard E. Czachor the celebrant. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, Reading. Interment
will be in Sacred Heart Chapel Cemetery , Reading. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday in Transfiguration Church.
Frank Buddy Mark Elliott
Frank Buddy Mark Elliott, 44, of 744 Linden St., Bethlehem, died Wednesday in his home. He was the husband of Debra (Messics) Elliott of Allentown. They observed their 24th wedding anniversary in March.
He was a self-employed architectural draftsman for many years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Marie Elliott.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter Heather of Bethlehem; and five brothers, Dennis and Howard Bilger, both of Allentown, Donald Bilger of New Britain, Bucks County, Milton Bilger of Middletown and Eugene Bilger of Slatington.
Mrs. Mae A. Scherer
Mrs. Mae A. Scherer, 88, of Lehighton, formerly of Brown Street, Slatedale, died Wednesday in the Gnaden Huetten Nursing Home, Lehighton. She was the widow of Allen E. Scherer.
She was a silk weaver for Lehigh Valley area mills for many years.
Born in Weaversville, she was a daughter of the late Daniel R. and Sallie (Steckel) Evans.
Surviving are a daughter, Eleanor M., wife of Thomas H. Merkel, with whom she resided; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Doris L. Avate
Mrs. Doris L. Avate, 67, of 530 Main St., Northampton, died Thursday in her home. She was the widow of Jerome J. Avate Sr.
A sewing machine operator, she worked for the former Dorell Fashions, Northampton, for 10 years before retiring in 1989, and previously had been employed by the Tama Manufacturing Company, Northampton, for 25 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Annabelle (Snyder) Blose.
Surviving are three sons, Jerome J. Jr. and Joseph L., both of Northampton, and James J. of Walnutport; four daughters, Sherry L. Struss and Wendy L., wife of Lewis Resh Jr., both of Walnutport, and Connie L., wife of David Pritchard, and Lisa A., both of Northampton; a brother, Robert O. of Allentown; a half-sister, Janne Timberman of Easton; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie J. (Fatzinger) Kline, 96, formerly of 647 Franklin Ave., Palmerton, who died Jan. 2 in the Foulk Manor, Wilmington, Del., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Thomas K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, followed by interment
in the Norwood Cemetery , Emmaus. A calling hour will precede the services.
Clarence W. Keiser
Clarence W. Keiser, 87, of 74 Walnut St., Lehighton, died Thursday in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. He was the husband of Fern A. (Wentz) Keiser. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary last month.
He was a car repairman for the former Lehigh Valley Railroad for many years before retiring in 1975.
Born in Walcksville, he was a son of the late Albert and Sarah (Ziegenfuss) Keiser.
He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Lehighton, and the East Penn Sporting Club and a life member of the Franklin Township Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Jeffrey A. of Saylorsburg; two daughters, Sheila M. of Beltzville and Marlene, wife of Lester E. Stern of Franklin Township; two brothers, Wayland of White Bear and Maurice of Walnutport; a sister, Charlotte Kashlak of Summit Hill; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Delthine M. Stettler
Mrs. Delthine M. Stettler, 73, of 2010 Fairview St., Whitehall Township, died Thursday in the Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She was the widow of George H.E. Stettler Jr.
She was a secretary fort Mary McIntosh, Allentown, for many years before retiring.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mabel (Lentz) Schrader.
She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, where she was president of the ELCA.
Surviving are three sons, Denton G. and Dalton O., both of Whitehall, and George P. Sr. of Palmerton; three brothers, Marvin in Ohio, Carlton of Whitehall and Kenneth of Lehighton; a sister Melba, wife of Robert Fenstermacher of New Tripoli; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Bincarowsky
Mary Bincarowsky, formerly of 170 First St., Coaldale, died Thursday in the Geriatric Center of the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale.
She worked for the former Rosenau Brothers garment factory, Lansford, for many years before retiring.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Arkady and Rose (Beuhuniak) Bincarowsky.
She was a member of St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale, where she belonged to the Ladies Aide Society.
The deceased was a volunteer at the former Coaldale State General Hospital for 17 years.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
The last member of her immediate family, she was also preceded in death by six sisters, Anna Durilla, Agnes Biscoe, Irene Shears, Theresa Lyons, Fanny Bincarowsky and Helen Kepko.

Mrs. Margaret M. Banning
Mrs. Margaret M. Banning, 87, of 540 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died Thursday in the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale. She was the widow of Curtis A. Banning.
Born in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late John and Maude (Wolfgang) Hebert.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, where she belonged to the Lutheran Church Women and was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. The church named the Margaret Banning Bible Class in her honor.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Richard J. of Andreas R.1; a daughter Kay, wife of Paul Orkin of Fountain Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Kehler of Lavelle and Mrs. Ruth Reiff of Germansville; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
