Mrs. Beatrice A. Gilmore
Mrs. Beatrice A. Gilmore, 91, of 50 N. Malin Rd., Broomall, Chester County, died Wednesday in the I.H.S. Nursing Home, Broomall. She was the widow of Arthur C. Gilmore, who died in 1981.
Prior to retiring, she was a teacher in the Belvidere School District, Belvidere, N.J.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Bengt and Emelia (Johnson) Nelson.
She was a member of Meeds United Methodist Church, Nesquehoning.
Mrs. Gilmore was a graduate of the former Nesquehoning High School and Bloomsburg College.
Surviving are a son Arthur of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a sister, Olga Nelson of Broomall; and two grandchildren.
The E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ethel Roosevelt Seymour
Mrs. Ethel Roosevelt Seymour, 88, formerly of New Ringgold, died Monday in the St. Mary Nursing Center, Leonardtown, Md. She was the widow of John Seymour, who died July 29, 1983.
Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie (Perry) Willingham.
She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church, Leonardtown.
Surviving are a son, Edward P. Meyers, of Lexington Park, Md., with whom she resided since 1983; a brother, Theodore Willingham, of San Antonio, Tex.; and a grandson.
The Roche Funeral Home, 237 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

Boyer services
Funeral services for Howard A. Boyer, 67, of 256 Meadowlark Court, Marco Island, Fla., who died Monday in Naples, Fla., will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton, followed by interment in the Towamensing Cemetery , Palmerton. Friends may call from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Thomas K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

Mrs. Mae H. Houser
Mrs. Mae H. Houser, 98, formerly of Tamaqua, died Wednesday in the Cedarbrook Nursing Center, Allentown. She was the widow of Edward C. Houser, former Schuylkill County controller.
Born in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ruth (Heath) Howells.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua.
Mrs. Houser was a graduate of Tamaqua High School and attended McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou, wife of Bruce C. Phillips of Allentown; a son Philip of New York City, N.Y.; a sister, Ruth Derr of Detroit, Mich.; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
The Roche Funeral Home, 237 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

Frank J. Lapos
Frank J. Lapos, 86, of 121 W. High St., Nesquehoning, formerly of Hauto, died Wednesday in the Hometown Nursing Center, Tamaqua R.2. He was the husband of the late Rose (Malatak) Lapos.
He worked in the Hauto Storage Yard of the former Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company for many years before retiring.
Born in Hauto, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Yurasek) Lapos.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, the Hauto Fire Company and the First Catholic Slovak Union.
Surviving are two sons, James J. of White Bear, Summit Hill, and Frank D. of Lewisburg, Union County; a brother Joseph of Hauto; a sister, Emma Hydock of Lansford; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Andrew and a sister, Anna Lakata.
The Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 W. Center St., Nesquehoning, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ruth V. German
Mrs. Ruth V. German, 79, of 920 Edgemont Ave., Palmerton, died Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the widow of Roy German.
She was a sewing machine operator for Natalie Fashions, Palmerton, for 37 years before retiring in 1970.
Born in Bowmanstown, she was a daughter of the late Amandus and Anna (Simpson) Meckes.
There are no immediate survivors.
The Thomas K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, is in charge of the arrangements.

Warren H. Bittner
Warren H. Bittner, 72, of Slatington, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Grace E. (Evans) Bittner of Lebanon, Lebanon County. They observed their 18th wedding anniversary in July.
He was a truck driver for the former ALPO Pet Foods, Orefield, for 27 years before retiring in 1988.
Born in Washington Township, he was a son of the late Herbert and Ida (Snyder) Bittner.
He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, F. and A.M. Lodge No. 440, Royal Arch Chapter No. 292 and the Moose Lodge No. 1375, all of Slatington.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Donna D., wife of Richard L. Swatt of Lehighton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Michael F. Zemanik
Michael F. Zemanik, 78, of 158 Fourth St., Coaldale, died Wednesday in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mary (Kuzak) Zemanik.
He worked for the Container Corporation of America, Oaks, Montgomery County, until retiring in 1982, and previously had worked at the former Coaldale Colliery of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company.
Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Augustine and Pauline (Viskotsch) Zemanik.
She was a member of St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale.
Zemanik was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Nancy A. Sabol of Whitehall Township; a brother Edward of Tamaqua; and a granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Joseph.
The John Puschak Funeral Home, 208 First St., Coaldale, is in charge of the arrangements.

Charles C. Follweiler
Charles C. Follweiler, 63, of Quakertown, died Tuesday in the St. Luke Hospital, Quakertown. He was the husband of Veronica K. 'Bonnie' (Yerkes) Follweiler. They observed their 37th wedding anniversary in October.
He was last employed by Drum Construction, Telford.
Born in Ironton, he was a son of the late Mark and Goldie (Ruck) Follweiler.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Quakertown.
Follweiler was a former coach of the Quakertown Little League and the Quakertown Midget Football programs.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Jeffrey L. of Walnutport and Jeffrey of Baltimore, Md.; six daughters, Karen, wife of Peter Snyder of Danielsville, Susan, wife of Jerry Bender of Walnutport, Brenda, wife of Jeffrey Snyder of Klecknersville, Michelle of Richlandtown, Marcia Bittner of Elverson, Chester County, and Melanie Wursta of Center Valley; two brothers, Warren and Ernest, both of Naples, Fla.; a sister Grace of Northampton; and 15 grandchildren.

Mrs. Alberta M. Wood
Mrs. Alberta M. Wood, 78, of Effort, formerly of Shades Creek, Luzerne County, died Wednesday in her home. She was the widow of Robert Wood.
Born in Bear Creek, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late John and Hannah (Meade) Blakeslee.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are a brother James of Shades Creek; and two sisters, Elizabeth Berger of Pocono Lake and Margaret Warner of Effort.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Isabel; and two brothers, Harold and John.
The Kresge Funeral Home, Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, is in charge of the arrangements.

Walter F. Greene
Walter F. Greene, 80, of 316 E. Paoli St., Allentown, died Wednesday in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Helen M. (Burkhardt) Greene. They observed their 58th wedding anniversary last June.
He was an auditor and bookkeeper for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, New York, N.Y., for 42 years before retiring in 1976.
Born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, he was a son of the late Florian and Edith (Seidel) Greene.
He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Allentown, and a life member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Robert W., and a daughter, Mrs. Susan J. Ruggiero, both of Lehighton; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of Blooming Grove, Pike County; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Harrison F. Meckes
Harrison F. "Harry" Meckes, 50, of East Stroudsburg, formerly of Long Pond, Monroe County, died Tuesday in his home. He was the husband of Barbara F. (Frailey) Meckes. They were married for 28 years.
He was a construction project supervisor for the Duggan and Marcon Co., Bethlehem, where he worked for the past 27 years.
Born in Tunkhannock, he was a son of Thomas and Dorothy (Luton) Meckes of Long Pond.
The deceased was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his widow and parents are a son Eric of Kunkletown; three brothers, Thomas Jr. of Effort, Richard of Tannersville and Eugene in Florida; four sisters, Marlene Kovalefsky of Saylorsburg, Rose Simon of Greentown, Pike County, Doris Frailey of Swiftwater and Ruth of Long Pond; and nieces and nephews.
