Raymond C. Shirk, 63, of York Haven died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired Teamster from New Penn Motor Express in Camp Hill. He worked part time at Giant Foods in New Cumberland. He was a member of the VFW in Dillsburg and American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed baking: especially for his mother and grandchildren, and family vacations at the cabin in Pine Creek Canyon.
He is survived by his wife Sue; mother, Helen Miller of Lebanon; three sons, Michael of Goldsboro, James and his wife Christine of Mechanicsburg, and Bradley and his wife Cheryl of Dillsburg; five sisters, Barbara Zartman of James Creek, Carol Kreider of Lebanon, Sandra Lentz of Lebanon, Rosene Bollinger of Lebanon, and Fern Kirst of Fredricksburg; five grandchildren; Reanna, Johnna, Natalie, Brandon, and Carlie; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until memorial services at 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.

Cynthia Louise Radel

Cynthia “Cindy” Louise Radel, of Lewisberry, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a member of Fairview Twp. Fire Company, Newview Community Partners, and a clerk in the 2nd District of Fairview Twp. assisting with elections.
She is survived by her parents, William P. and Judith S. Radel; three sisters, Karen Graybill and her husband Gary of Carlisle, Vicki Larson and her husband Richard and Susan Botchie and her husband John both of Dillsburg; an uncle, Warren Shanabrough and his wife Geneva of Monroe, GA; aunt, Janet Murtha of Land O Lakes, FL; two nieces, Elizabeth Graybill of Carlisle and Alyssa Ciochetto of Camp Hill and her husband Bob; a great niece Michelina Ciochetto,and great nephew, Dominic Ciochetto. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Nathan Graybill.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Charles Leese

Charles Leese, 70, of Lower Allen Twp., New Cumberland, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was retired as a truck driver for Roadway Express, Carlisle, and the former Hall Motor Freight, Mechanicsburg; he was a current employee of At Your Service Limousine, New Cumberland; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; V.F.W. Post 7415 and American Legion Post 143, both of New Cumberland; Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Queenship Council 4068, Camp Hill, and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Bishop J.W. Shanahan Assembly of the Fourth Degree; West Shore Elks, West Shore Lodge #2257, B.P.O.E.
A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife Marie (Jablonski) Leese; two daughters, Cindy J. Rheinish (Rick) of York Haven and Aline T. Novak (Larry) of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Heather Kimble (Alan), Brandon Arvey, Joshua Arvey and Anthony Marc Leese; four cousins, Ray Hein, Doris, Terry and Judy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. at 1 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 4219 Trindle Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Patricia L. Liddic
May 3, 2008
Patricia L. Liddic, 66, of Goldsboro, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired employee for the Dept. of Insurance, Commonwealth of PA. She attended First Church of the Nazarene, New Cumberland, and enjoyed making crafts and cooking. Born December 23, 1941, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward B. and Emma (Wilson) Paul. Mrs. Liddic was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, the late Boyd and Mary Nesbit.
Surviving are her husband, Leroy I. Liddic; a son, Ray A. Mixell (Sharla K.) of Etters; two sisters, Suzanne Brinton of Saxton and Charlotte Paul of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Rayanne E. Mixell.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Tuesday in the New Cumberland First Church of the Nazarene, 16th St. and Brandt Ave., New Cumberland, PA 17070. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 4813 Jonestown Road, Suite no. 101, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Donald P. Rutz
May 4, 2008
Donald P. Rutz, 73, peacefully made his transition to eternal life on Sunday, May 4 at his New Cumberland home alongside his beloved family. He was retired from Pennsylvania Farm Bureau where he was corporate controller for more than 26 years. Previously, he worked in New York City's investment district for 18 years.
Son of the late John and Arvilla Rutz, he was born in Staten Island, New York on January 29, 1935. Mr. Rutz was a Saint Bonaventure University graduate. He was the founding captain of Mahwah Co. #4 Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Mahwah, NJ, where he also served as an emergency medical technician. He served as a medic in the New Jersey National Guard. He was past president of the Administrative Management Society in Harrisburg, PA. He was a third degree member of The Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Rutz was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Caroline Gail Kennedy Rutz, and a sister Barbara Mangini. He is survived by a son, Robert Rutz and daughter in law Tracy Rutz of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Donna W. Crumlich and son in law Barry E. Crumlich, Jr. of New Cumberland; and five grandchildren, Whitney, Braquel and Tanner Rutz of Mechanicsburg and Morgan and Max Crumlich of New Cumberland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, PA 17070, with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1313 S. York Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army at 2328 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

Thomas J. McGeehan
May 9, 2008
Thomas J. McGeehan, 57, of Enola and formerly of Wormleysburg died Friday May 9, 2008 in Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Harrisburg.
He was an Assistant Circulation Director for the Patriot News Co., Harrisburg; past president of the I.C.S.A.; past Commodore of the Keystone Aquatic Club; and a graduate of Trinity High School. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola and the Enola Sportsman Club. Tom was born October 31, 1950 in Hazelton to the late John E. and Elizabeth (Slicker) McGeehan, Jr.
He is survived by two sisters, Theresa M. McGeehan of Wormleysburg and Kathleen M. Lambert of Mechanicsburg; three brothers, Edward J. of Dauphin; John E. of Camp Hill; and James A. of Mechanicsburg; four nieces, four nephews, and a great niece.
A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday May 15, 2008 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. John A. Acri, his Pastor presiding. Visitation will be from 5:30 until time of service Thursday in the funeral home. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Laurie Davis
May 8, 2008
Laurie Davis, 49, of Shrewsbury and formerly of New Cumberland died Thursday May 8, 2008 in the Barbara J. Egan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shrewsbury surrounded by her loving family.
She was a Fitness Instructor for Curves Fitness, Shrewsbury and Stewartstown and was an active volunteer at Flying Change Performance Horses and Ponies where she will be missed very much. She was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill and Chowan University, Murfreesboro, NC. Additionally, Laurie loved horseback riding and grooming and her two dogs, Midge and Peaches.
Laurie was born August 6, 1958 in Seattle, WA to Evangeline (Traubitz) Bowen of New Cumberland and the late John S. Bowen. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband J. Lance Davis; two sons, Taylor S. and Sawyer J., both residing at home; 3 sisters, Melanie Genbauffe of Loveland, OH, Stephanie Flierjans of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Kim Massal of New Cumberland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 17, 2008 at 10:30am in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions for the benefit of Laurie’s children may be made to the Laurie Davis Memorial Fund, M&T Bank, 69 East Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
