Born Jan. 15, 1948 in Huntington, he was the son of Rose Mascarra Smith of Panama City, Fla. and the late Eugene C. Smith Sr.
Mr. Smith was a truck driver for Roadway.
He attended Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Dillsburg and was a member of Teamsters No. 776; AOPA; the NRA; and "The Drive."
Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, Joan Katherine Malosky Smith; two sons, Jay Jeremy and Jeffrey E., both at home; three sisters, Priscilla Shoffner and Caroline Reynolds, both of Lewisberry and Lois Wiechman of Etters; and one stepbrother, Robert Brown of Miami, Fla.
The Rev. Phillip Sturr will officiate at Saturday's service. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dillsburg.

H. Eugene Steffen, Jr., 71, of Lewisberry, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997 in his home.
Born April 4, 1926 in Selinsgrove, he was a son of Harry E. Steffen Sr. of Lewisberry and the late Beatrice E. Miller.
Mr. Steffen, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, was a retired clerk for the railroad division of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Steelton.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisberry and a graduate of Steelton Highspire High School.
Surviving, besides his father, are his wife, Doris Koller Steffen; two sons, David E. of Lewisberry and Dale J. of Germantown, Md.; two daughters, Linda K. Gibson of Newberry Township and Keely A. Stewart of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Garry L. of Lewisberry; three sisters, Mary E. Calhoun of Lewisberry, Phyllis E. Spaseff of Harrisburg and Nancy A. Plessinger of Mechanicsburg; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at his church, 863 Lewisberry Road, Lewisberry, with the Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Township.

Cecilia Lawrence, 77, of 6 Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born July 13, 1919 in Newark, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late George and Edna Eblery.
Mrs. Lawrence was a retired waitress for the former Peoples Drug Store, Camp Hill Shopping Center.
Surviving are her husband, Merrill E. Lawrence; two daughters, Nancy McCreary of New Cumberland and Shelia Mullins of Fostoria, Ohio; three sisters, Margaret Eberly, Eileen Auer and Lillian Mullin, all of Willard, Ohio; one granddaughter; and three great-granddaughters.

Mass of Christian burial for Helen J. Dmochowski, 74, of 100 Mt. Allen Drive, Upper Allen Township and formerly of Camp Hill, will be held 10 a.m. Monday in Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill.
She died Wednesday, June 11, 1997 at Messiah Village.
Born July 2, 1922 in Stamford, Conn., she was the daughter of the late William V. and Jennie Shocik Maslowski and the widow of Lucian F. Dmochowski.
She was the owner of the first Dairy Queen in Pennsylvania. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill and a former member of the Hampden Township Civic Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen J. Dmochowski of Gettysburg and Cheryl M. Zeigler of Grantville; a sister, Teresa F. Lacerenza of Newville; a brother, Thomas R. Maslowski of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Maslowski.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Township.

Services for Thomas F. Drum, 97, of 675 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, and formerly of Carlisle, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday in Allison United Methodist Church, 99 Moreland Ave., Carlisle.
He died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at the Glen at Willow Valley after a long illness.
Born in Williamstown, he was the son of the late George W. and Margaret Miller Drum.
Mr. Drum, a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, was a retired osteopathic physician who worked in Lykens and Carlisle for 50 years.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania and American Osteopathic Associations; Ashlar Lodge 570 Free and Accepted Masons in Lykens; Harrisburg Consistory; and Zembo Temple. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Carlisle and past president of the Rotary Club of Lykens, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of Allison United Methodist Church in Carlisle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Evalyn Taylor Drum; a daughter, Doris D. Smith of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Karen E. Layman will officiate at Monday's services. A private burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in New Cumberland.

Born Oct. 15, 1914 in Mt. Pleasant, he was a son of the late John J. and Anna Ziaps Knizner and the widower of Sarah M. Blackburn Knizner, who died June 30, 1981.
Mr. Knizner was retired from Carlisle Beverage, where he was employed for 33 years.
He was a life member of the White Circle Club, Carlisle and a member of the Cumberland-Goodwill Fire Company, Carlisle. He resided most of his life in Carlisle.
Surviving are a son, Ronald L., with whom he lived; two brothers, Joseph "Red" of Mt. Pleasant and Clarence "Sonny" of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Viola Patrick of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and George, and two sisters, Julie Knizner and Margaret Misenko.
