Born Dec. 31, 1924 in Newport, she attended Community United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smee was a former assembler for Carlisle Shoe Co. She was a member of American Legion Post No. 143, Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Post No. 7415, Ladies Auxiliary, both of New Cumberland.
Surviving are her husband, William L. Smee; two daughters, Rose M. Bendet of New Cumberland and Sandra L. Farley of College Park, Ga.; a sister, Marie Webster of Enola; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Lawrence C. Focht officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township.

Stephen Pavlasek of 174 E. North St., Carlisle, died Friday, June 13, 1997 at home.
Born in Cudahy, Wis., he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Schelak Pavlasek.
A graduate of Cudahy Catholic High School in Wisconsin, Mr. Pavlasek was an Army veteran of World War II.
He participated in the Battle of French Morocco, Sicilian Campaign and the Tunisian Campaign. He earned the European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal.
He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry with 32 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Savilla J. Stambaugh Pavlasek; one son, Stephen Jr. of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Sharon J. Hines of Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Betty, Annie and Rose, all of Cudahy, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, August Pavlasek, who died in 1996.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Donald Weidman officiating.
Burial will be in Kutz's Church Cemetery, Middlesex Township.

Services for Phyllis L. Lackey, 68, of 591 D St., Carlisle, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
Mrs. Lackey died Saturday, June 14, 1997, in the Carlisle Hospital.
Born June 4, 1929, in Newville, she was a daughter of the late David and Alwilda Minnich Line.
Mrs. Lackey was a retired employee of UGI Gas Company, with 20 years of service in Carlisle and Harrisburg.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carlisle, and the Carlisle Y's Mennettes. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a former den mother and Girl Scout leader.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, R. Gerald Lackey; a daughter, Kimberly L. Krammes of Carlisle; a son, Eric G., of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Arthur A. Line of Carlisle and Robert Line of Boiling Springs; a sister, Helen Alt of Lancaster, and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Michael V. Minnix will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery, Middlesex Towship.
There will be no viewing, but the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Burnetta P. Stouffer, 90, of Atmore, Ala., and formerly of Carlisle, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
She died Thursday, June 12, 1997, in Atmore (Ala.) Nursing Care Center.
Born July 8, 1906 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mable Mentzer Stover and the widow of John H. Stouffer.
Mrs. Stouffer was retired from the Carlisle Area High School, having worked in the cafeteria.
Surviving are a son, Richard Wayne of Ocala, Fla.; three daughters, Betty Schoff of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Dorothy Albert of Atmore, Ala., and Margaret Myers of Lancaster; a brother, Richard Stover of Carlisle; two sisters, Violet Rockey of Carlisle and Marie Howell of Honesdale; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John H. Jr.; a daughter, Lois Lupien, and a brother, Robert Stover.
The Rev. Michael V. Minnix will officiate at Wednesday's service.

Anthony J. "Tony" Barbieri, 81, of 546 W. Penn St., Carlisle, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at home.
Born Jan. 29, 1916 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Zaccaria and Maria Meoli Barbieri and the widower of Winifred Shank Barbieri who died in 1959.
Mr. Barbieri was retired since 1985 from his business, Tony's Remodeling and Repair Service, Carlisle after many years of being in business.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carlisle and the Carlisle Elks Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne B. Long of Carlisle and Antoinette B. Sprinkle of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Al of Philadelphia; a sister, Mary DeVito of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle with Father Curtis Delarm as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's New Cemetery, North Middleton Township.

John C. Barton, 82, formerly of North Middleton Township, died Monday, June 16, 1997, in Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.
Born March 6, 1915 in Tyrone, he was a son of the late John N. and Elizabeth Crawford Barton.
Mr. Barton was a retired food inspector from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Simonton Barton; three daughters, Nancy E. Crowe of Wilmington, Del., Betsy I. Long of Mifflin and Patricia A. Whitzel of Carlisle; two sons, John E. "Jack" of Shippensburg and Charles W. "Bill" of Melbourne, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with the Rev. Harold N. Imes officiating. Burial will be in the McCoysville Cemetery.

Florence M. Dupert, 85, RR No. 1, Ickesburg, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997 in her home.
Born Nov. 4, 1911 in Madison Township, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel S. and Elsie Reisinger Smith and the widow of Charles W. Dupert who died April 30, 1987.
Mrs. Dupert was a retired processor for Duffy & Mott Cannery, and a member of the former Walsingham Methodist church, Ickesburg; the Ickesburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; and the Ickesburg Ambulance Company.
Surviving are seven sons, William G. of Duncannon, Frank G. of Shermans Dale, Clarence G. of East Berlin, Ralph A. of Maidsville, W.Va., Robert W. of Carlisle, Kenneth C. of Newville and Ronald L. of Landisburg; seven daughters, Bertha Peck of Carlisle, Pauline Flick, Ethel Orris and Gladys L. Dupert, all of Ickesburg, Idella Hench of Shippensburg, Dorothy Jacobs and Deborah Sharar, both of Ickesburg; 39 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles D. and Merle E. Dupert.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove with the Rev. Clarence Dupert officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Township, Perry County.
