Harry M. Orner, 80, of 109 Centerville Road, Newville, died Saturday, June 21, 1997, in the Sara Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle.
Born July 9, 1916 in South Middleton Twp., he was a son of the late Roy and Ella Glass Orner and the widower of Kathryn I. "Cass" Clouse Orner.
Mr. Orner, a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II, was a retired shoemaker from Carlisle Shoe Company.
He was a member of the Newville First Church of God, and past president of Big Spring Fish & Game.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Killinger and Diane Kreiger, both of Carlisle and Dixie Stoner of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Paul and Harold, both of Newville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville, with the Rev. Wayne Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in Centerville Memorial Gardens, Centerville.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Betty M. Saltsburg, 74, of Rebecca Drive, Duncannon, died Friday, June 20, 1997, in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born March 27, 1923, in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Edith M. Wilt Beichler.
She was the widow of Lee E. Saltsburg, who died Jan. 9, 1996.
Mrs. Saltsburg was formerly employed by the Newport Dress Factory and the 5&10 Store, both of Newport; and by Kinney Shoes of Carlisle.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, New Bloomfield.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn M. Turner of Shermans Dale; a son, Kenneth E. Saltsburg of Shermans Dale; a brother, Paul D. Beichler of Landisburg; two sisters, Ruth V. Nesbit of Elliotsburg and Helen E. Beichler of New Bloomfield; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 1997, in the Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Alan K. Foor officiating. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery, Loysville.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 659, New Bloomfield, 17068.

Emma M. Wileman, 56, of Blain Rural Route 1, died Saturday, June 21, 1997, in the Carlisle Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1940, in Glenwood, NJ, she was a daughter of the late George L.R. and Irene M. Charles Sweigart.
Mrs. Wileman was a nurse's aid at the Cumberland County Nursing Home. She also had worked at Proberity Enterprises Garment Factory for 24 years.
She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Harrisburg Area Community College.
She was a member of St. John's (Barner's) Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Cloyd E. Wileman; two sons, Edward L. Wileman and Gregory A. Wileman, both of Blain; two daughters, Kathy K. Brown of Newville and Carol L. Lamason of Shippensburg; a brother, Lewis Sweigart of Newport; four sisters, Mary Latchford of Enola, Florence McAlister of Shermans Dale, Mildred Britcher of Duncannon and Barbara Seiders of Newport; a half brother, Samuel Sweigart of Beavertown; seven half sisters, Kathy Whitekettle and Betty Boyer, both of Newport, Erma Garner of Millerstown, Evelyn Goodling and Bonnie Sweigart, both of Liverpool; and Joann Sheaffer and Tracy Heintzelman, both of Mt. Pleasant Mills; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 1997, in the Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. John Schier-Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Blain Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 23, 1997.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 5020 Ritter Road, Suite 103, Mechanicsburg, 17055; or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1104 Fernwood Ave., Camp Hill, 17011.

Services for Edith D. Wise Hench, 89, formerly of Blain, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Nickel Funeral Home, West Main Street, Loysville.
She died Saturday, June 21, 1997 in Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
Born Sept. 7, 1907 in Loysville, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Jennie B. Morrow Wise.
Mrs. Hench was a graduate of Landisburg High School and Carlisle Commercial College.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Blain and the ladies' auxiliary of Blain Fire Company.
Surviving are her husband, John W. Hench, also of Thornwald Nursing Home; three sons, John W. Jr. and Lloyd D., both of Shiremanstown and Ray E. of Blain; a daughter, Joann W. Motter of Gettysburg; a sister, Alverda A. Womer of New Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Robert M. Wise.
The Rev. Jay B. Eickhoff will officiate at Tuesday's service. Burial will be in Blain Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services for Elizabeth A. Jacoby, 77, of 9125 Olde Scotland Road, Shippensburg, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 S. Penn St., Shippensburg.
She died Saturday, June 21, 1997 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born Oct. 8, 1919 in Newburg, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Anne Heberlig Daihl and the widow of Robert M. Ewan, who died in 1958, and Clarence H. "Chub" Jacoby, who died in 1987.
Mrs. Jacoby worked at Cressler's Market and also the former Shirtcraft and L'Agilon companies.
She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church and its ladies' Bible class, and AARP 2525. She was a former member of Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary and past matron of First Court Chapter 470 Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are three daughters, Paula A. Nye and Mickey Zinn, both of Shippensburg and Bobbi Cohick of Newville; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
The Rev. L. Fitzgerald Reist will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, by First Court Chapter 470 Order of Eastern Star.
Friends also may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to her church.

Services for Patricia Ann Rhinehart, 64, of 322 N. York St., Pottstown, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gibson Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs.
She died Saturday, June 21, 1997 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Bessie Yeager Shelley.
Mrs. Rhinehart was a former employee of Texas Lunch Restaurant, Carlisle.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph A. Rhinehart Jr.; three daughters, Linda Davidheiser of Spring City, Terry Jumper of Carlisle and Brenda Ruth Fry of Boyertown; a brother, Edgar Shelley of Shermans Dale; two sisters, Martha Sheaffer of Shermans Dale and Natalie Zeigler of Evergreen, Ala.; and two grandsons.
The Rev. Kenneth Barner will officiate at Tuesday's service. Burial will be in Young's Cemetery, Shermans Dale.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial services for Eero E. Rowan, 35, of 1326 Horich Drive, Boiling Springs, will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg.
He died Friday, June 20, 1997 from injuries received in an accident.
Born Dec. 22, 1961 in Oakland, Calif., he was a son of Patrick Rowan of Lincoln, Neb. and Anja K. Kuoppala Rowan of Boiling Springs.
Mr. Rowan was a warehouseman for Morrison-Knudsen in Mechanicsburg.
In addition to his parents, surviving are two sisters, Raili Holtzapple of York and Moira Rowan of Dallastown; and an aunt, Raili Helsing of New York, N.Y.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing; however, friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services for James Frank Slusser, 58, of 20 Little Rocky Run Lane, Stafford, Va., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4200 Carlisle Road, Gardners.
He died Saturday, June 21, 1997 in the Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington, Va.
Born May 30, 1939 in Gardners, he was a son of the late Danzil W. and Maude A. McKinney Slusser.
Mr. Slusser, a 1957 graduate of Carlisle High School, was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving more than 26 years in the Navy and the Naval Reserve. He helped establish the North Island Chapter of the Naval Enlisted Reserve Association and was selected as its first president.
He also was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Patsy Ann Barninger; a daughter, Sherrie Lynn White of Leesburg, Va.; three sons, Gregory A., Matthew J. and Joshua S., all of Stafford, Va.; four sisters, Mereda Helm of Gettysburg, Valda Barnhart of Gardners, Faye Bowermaster and Paulette Kelly, both of Carlisle; three brothers, Walter of Gardners, Christopher of Mechanicsburg and Kermit of Fairfield; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Kenneth G. Swick will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Goodyear Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Bendersville.
