Born May 14, 1925 in Yocumtown, he was a son of the late Chester E. and Cora Anderson Kauffman.
Mr. Kauffman was a retired body technician for the former Sunderland Chevrolet of Lemoyne.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lewisberry, and a life member of Newberry Fire Company, 63rd Division Association of World War II Veterans and VFW Post 537 of Etters.
Surviving are his wife, Anna P. Rhodes Kauffman; a son, Craig E. of New Bloomfield; a daughter, Judy A. Reeser of New Bloomfield; two brothers, Melvin of York Haven and Marlin of Newberrytown; two sisters, Viola Snelbaker of York and Evelyn Shaulis of Lewisberry; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman, his pastor, will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Township.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Esther V. Lippert, 72, of 27 Garden Parkway, South Middleton Township, died Monday, June 23, 1997, in her home.
Born Dec. 9, 1924 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Elsie Chamberlain Shugart and the widow of George W. Lippert, who died April 24, 1994.
Mrs. Lippert retired in 1993 from Cumberland County Nursing Home after 18 years of service. She also had worked at Troy Laundry in Carlisle.
She was a former member of Carlisle Eagles Ladies' Auxiliary.
Surviving are three daughters, Shirley L. Nace and Georgie A. Brandt, both of Carlisle and Gloria J. "Sis" Mixell of Newville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Shugart.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. James E. Rudy officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.

Services for Robert Eugene Kipp, 27, of Lititz, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland.
He died Sunday, June 22, 1997 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Nov. 13, 1969 in Harrisburg, he was a son of Eugene Kipp of Camp Hill and Janice Jones Kipp Blevins of Iva, S.C. He attended Christ Community Church, Camp Hill.
Mr. Kipp was a production assembler for Redman Homes, Ephrata. He was a 1989 graduate of Belton-Honeapath High School, Belton, S.C. He also attended Cedar Cliff High School, Lower Allen Township.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his stepmother, Diane Kipp of Camp Hill; his stepfather, Kenneth Blevins of Iva, S.C.; a sister, Kimberly A. of Lititz; maternal grandmother, Hazel Shepard of Kissimmee, Fla.; eight aunts; three uncles; and two nieces.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Township.

He died Monday, June 23, 1997 in Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont, W.Va.
Born, March 13, 1915 in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of the late Harry and Lillian Hauptman Lysher and the widower of Mary Lysher, who died Dec. 11, 1995.
Mr. Lysher was a retired industrial engineer for the federal Department of Maritime. He was a member of Baltimore Lodge, AF&AM and also the Scottish Rite of Baltimore.
Mr. Lysher was a Catechunen in the process of becoming a Catholic.
Surviving are a son, Moreland Jr. of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Barbara Case of Rochester, N.Y., Kathleen Allen of Newville and Patricia Judy of Camp Hill; a step-daughter, Sharon Trent of Mt. Holly Springs; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Scot Lysher.
The Rev. Don X. Higgs will officiate Wednesday's services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Baltimore. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Robert "Bob" Sollenberger, 60, of 1743 Edgewood Hills Circle, Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, June 24, 1997 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born July 10, 1936 in Carlisle, he was a son of Marian Trimmer Sollenberger of Carlisle, and the late Clarence Benjamin Sollenberger.
Mr. Sollenberger was an employee of the Pangborn Corp. for the past 28 years.
He was a member of the Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship; and BPO Elks Lodge No. 378.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joyce W. Sollenberger; a daughter, Tammy E. Strite of Hagerstown; two sisters, Lois Ann Sollenberger and Barbara Sollenberger, both of Mechanicsburg; and a brother, Benjamin Sollenberger of Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., North Hagerstown, Md. with the Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Born Dec. 19, 1921 in Altoona, he was a son of the late Louis and Clarice Foreman McNulty.
Mr. McNulty, a United States Army veteran of World War II, was a retired equipment specialist from S.P.C.C.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Fertenbaugh McNulty; two daughters, Kay E. Hubley of Pensacola, Fla., and Lois A. Gill of Fayetteville, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
The Rev. Chesford M. Carr will officiate Saturday's service. Burial will be in Trindle Spring Cemetery, Silver Spring Township.

Francis Michael Petonyak, 56, of 114 Amy Drive, Carlisle, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997 in his home.
Born May 8, 1941 in New Jersey, he was a son of Frank A. and Helen Janik Petonyak.
Mr. Petonyak was an iron worker for American Bridge Company.
Surviving are his wife, Debra L. Petonyak of Carlisle; two sons, John M. and Michael F., both of Carlisle; three daughters, Kathy Hoon of Dillsburg; Brandy L. Petonyak and Christy L. Petonyak, both of Carlisle; a brother, James J. of Trenton, N.J.; two sisters, Dolores Lucas and Charolette Kubis, both of Levittown; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania.

She died Monday, June 23, 1997 in ManorCare East, Lower Paxton Twp.
Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. William Bailey and the widow of Roy E. Walker.
Mrs. Wiker was retired from the state Department of Revenue.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Penbrook; Class 2 of Sunshine Evangelical United Brethren Church; the Tuesday 24 Bridge Club; past president of Progress Garden Club and the Mary E. Phillips Auxiliary to the Tri-County Branch for the Blind; and former Republican Party committee woman.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert L. Bailey of Carlisle and Dr. J. William Bailey of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth H. Bailey.
Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
