Ms. Moore had been employed at the Carlisle Hospital for the last 41 years in the dietary department.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Charles T. Moore of Carlisle; five brothers, William G. Ellis Jr. of Newville, Edward E. Ellis of Aspers, Richard C. Ellis and Robert W. Ellis, both of Carlisle and David L. Ellis of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Dorothy R. Shenck of Mifflinburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Linda Ann Helm Varner Tucker, 54, of 640 Mickey's Inn Road, Chambersburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg.
She died Tuesday, July 1, 1997 in her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1942 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of Margaret E. Doyle Newell of Shippensburg and the late Robert K. Newell Sr.
Mrs. Tucker was a former employee of Cresmart, Shippensburg; Ross Distribution, Carlisle; and the former R&S Dress Factory, Shippensburg.
She was a member of Church of God Pentecostal, Shippensburg and a 1961 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her second husband, John P. Tucker; a son, Charles M. Varner Jr. of Walnut Bottom; five daughters, Darlene S. Cook, Millie F. Varner and Peggy A. Price, all of Chambersburg, Kathy L. Robinson of Greencastle and Rhonda J. Varner of Shippensburg; four brothers, Robert K. Newell Jr. and Roger L. Newell, both of Newville and John A. Newell and Brian R. Newell, both of Shippensburg; seven sisters, Barbara J. Cummings of Newville, Anna M. Martin of Chambersburg, Sandra K. Martin of Orrstown and Christine M. Newell, Audrey E. Rosenberry, Valerie L. Jones and Betty J. Newell, all of Shippensburg; 14 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles M. Varner Sr., and a brother, Ronald E. Newell.
The Rev. Reuben C. Coldsmith will officiate at Saturday's service. Burial will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, Southampton Township.

Arthur F. Michaux, 79, of 50 Strawberry Drive, Carlisle, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, in Sarah Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle.
Born Feb. 1, 1918, in Ford City, Mr. Michaux was a son of the late Fortune A. and Marguerite Masse Michaux and the widower of Louise Cannon Michaux.
Mr. Michaux was a graduate of Ford City High School, where he was a standout athlete in football, baseball and basketball. He attended Augusta Military Academy, Lexington, Va., and George Washington University, Washington, D.C., on athletic scholarships.
In 1991 he was inducted into the Armstrong County Sports hall of Fame for outstanding contributions in basketball.
He retired from PPG Industries, Meadville, in 1983 with more than 40 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle, and the Elks Lodge, Carlisle.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary M. Coffman of Carlisle and Elizabeth A. Michael of Reston, Va.; a brother, Joseph E. of Pittsburgh; a sister, Evelyn Kropinak of Kittanning; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna J. Gregory.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Ford City, with the Rev. Terry Hercik as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Ford City.

Herbert Monroe Smith, 77, of East Main Street, Loysville, and formerly of Shannondale, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
Born Sept. 26, 1919, in Summerville, he was a son of the late Fred and Helen Dinger Smith and the widower of Ruby G. Otte Smith.
Mr. Smith was an Army veteran of World War II and fought at Normandy and elsewhere. He was honored with five bronze stars.
He was a retired owner of a grocery store and service station is Shannondale.
He was a member of the VFW post in New Bethlehem.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda G. Shilling of Kittanning and Karen A. Smith of Loysville; a brother, Eugene F. Smith of New Castle; two grandchildren, Carl and Andrew Shilling; and two great-grandchildren, Jared and Jacob Shilling.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shannondale.

He died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, in the Todd Nursing Home, 1000 W. South St., Carlisle.
Born Sept. 25, 1907, in South Middleton Township, he was a son of the late Warren K. and Bessie B. Weary Wickard and the widower of Marie Deitch Wickard, who died in 1982.
Mr. Wickard was a life-long farmer in North Middleton Township and attended the Carlisle Farmers Market on the Square and at the present location on York Road for 55 years.
He also operated a seed-cleaning business for 50 years.
He was a life-long member of North Middleton First Church of God, where he held many offices within the church and was president of the church Cemetery board.
Surviving are three sons, Vernon E. and Robert M. of Carlisle and Paul D. of Newville; a daughter, Dorothy E. Quigley of Carlisle; a foster daughter, Nancy Capshaw of Carlisle; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn M. Snader, who died in 1974.
The Rev. John E. Byers and the Rev. Terry O. Frederick will officiate at Monday`s service. Burial will be in North Middleton First Church of God Cemetery.

He died Thursday, July 3, 1997 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born Sept. 13, 1924 in Corry, he was a son of the late Theodore J. Dingle and Ann Bacon Dingle Bryson.
A 1942 graduate of Carlisle High School, Mr. Dingle was a World War II veteran who served in the Navy Armed Guard.
He was a retired employee of Pennsylvania Fish Commission with 43 years of service. He was superintendent of Huntsdale Fish Hatchery.
Mr. Dingle was a member of Centerville Lutheran Church; life member and past president of Penn Township Volunteer Fire Company; member and past president of Cumberland County Volunteer Firemen's Association; and a former Big Spring school board member.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Erma A. Swigert Dingle; a son, Brad M. of Dover; two daughters, Olivia A. Reeder of Carlisle and Karen L. Wiker of Ephrata; a brother, David W. of Jackson, N.J.; a sister, Becky A. Brown of Carlisle; a stepfather, William Bryson of Merryville, Tenn.; a stepmother, Jannette Utech of Carlisle; a stepbrother, Ethan A. Dingle of New Oxford; a stepsister, Rachel D. Hollenbaugh of Carlisle; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah K. Dingle, who died in 1990.
Pastor John Schier-Hanson will officiate at Tuesday's services.
Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.

Services for Thomas Scott Shirley, 44, of Carlisle, will be held July 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, Shanksville.
He died June 26, 1997.
Born in Erie, he was the son of Thomas H. Shirley and the late Marilyn Allshouse Shirley.
Mr. Shirley, a graduate of McDowell High School and Edinboro University, served in the United States Navy.
At the time of his death he was associated with the United States Army War College as a technical biomedical master and was well known for his expertise in this field as well as teaching computers.
In addition to his father, he is survived by an uncle, Telford Lowery.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maura Dee Shirley, maternal grandparents, Donald and Marie Allshouse; paternal grandparents, Frank and Maud Weaver Shirley; and an aunt, Emmylou Shirley Lowery.
Private burial services will be held in Clarion, Pa., Cemetery.

Geneva M. Roth, 79, of 114 East York St., Biglerville, died Sunday, July 6, 1997 at Gettysburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 24, 1917 in Elk City, Okla., she was a daughter of the late George and Viva Cox Schachle and the widow of Sterling "Bud" J. Roth, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Roth was a former employee of Upper Adams School District, Biglerville, where she was employed as a cook.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ladies Auxiliary of the Biglerville Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post No. 262, Biglerville Garden Club and the Monday Morning Breakfast Group, all of Biglerville, and Gettysburg Women of Moose Chapter No. 182.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Miller of Hanover and Connie Kuykendall of Biglerville; four sons, George Sr. of Biglerville, Edwin of York Springs, Sterling "Bud" and Donnie, both of Biglerville; two sisters, Clarabelle Riley of Pensacola, Fla. and Marie Miller of Anaheim. Calif.; four brothers, Leo Schachle of Savannah, Tenn., Michael Schachle of Anchorage, Alaska., Steve Schachle of Anchor Point, Alaska. and Pat Schachle of Fairbanks, Alaska; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Kuykendall, in 1976.
Services will be held at 10 a.m Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 Franklin St., Biglerville with the Rev. Joel L. Zeiders officiating. Burial will be in the Biglerville Cemetery.
