Born Dec. 12, 1931 in Breggs, Okla., Mr. Leach, a Protestant, spent most of his life in California. He was a truck driver for Thomas C. Sunday Transportation of New Kingstown, a horseman and a pilot.
Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Leach; two daughters, Mary Lindberg and Lynda Kitzinger, both of California; three stepsons, Randy McCoy, Ricky McCoy and Robby McCoy, all of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Imogene Mello of California; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Leach and Carol Pineda, both of California.
The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania handled funeral arrangements.
Services for Gertrude M. Burkholder, 88, a resident of the Church of God Home, Carlisle, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
She died Tuesday, July 29, 1997 in the home.
Born May 18, 1909 in North Middleton Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Blanche Stone Wolf and the widow of Earl D. Burkholder.
Mrs. Burkholder was an employee of the former Carlisle Garment Factory, Carlisle.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle and its Everfaithful Bible Class; Women of the Moose; National Association of Retired Federal Employees; Mt. Holly Springs Golden Age Club; Senior Action Center; and the Old Bellaire Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a step-granddaughter, Betsy Nicholson of Waynesboro; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, John E. Burkholder.
The Rev. Eric J. Shafer will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.

Wilson E. Jacobs Sr., 80, of the Cumberland County Nursing Home, Middlesex Township, died Wednesday, July 30, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born April 30, 1917 in Elliottsburg, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Cora A. Hench Jacobs and the widower of Gloria H. Laird Jacobs.
A retired drill press operator from Brandywine Fibre Products Co., Mr. Jacobs was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his son, Wilson E. Jr. of Upland; a daughter, Mary Ann Kloepfer of Upland; two sisters, Mary A. George of Carlisle and Stella Burns of Richboro; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Nickel Funeral Home, West Main Street, Loysville, with the Rev. Miriam Nicholson, pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, Elliottsburg, officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, Elliottsburg, with military honors.

Services for Martha E. Lambert, 72, of Frey Village, Middletown, formerly of Etters, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland.
She died Tuesday, July 29, 1997 in the village.
Born June 10, 1925 in Lambertsville, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Sylvia Dishong Shumaker.
Mrs. Lambert was a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, Fairview Township and its United Methodist Women Group.
Surviving are her husband, Donald W. Lambert; five sons, Arthur W. Duppstadt of York, Dan L. Duppstadt of Hummelstown, Dale A. Duppstadt of Mechanicsburg, Cary A. Lambert of West Grove and Barry W. Lambert of Lemoyne; a daughter, Penny Sheib of Newark, Del.; three brothers, John Shumaker of Olympia, Wash., the Rev. Glenn Shumaker of Elizabethtown and Roy Shumaker of Little Rock, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Duppstadt.
The Rev. Timothy R. Baer will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Somerset Memorial Park, Somerset, at noon Saturday with the Rev. Glenn Shumaker, her brother, officiating.

She died Tuesday, July 29, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born Feb. 17, 1909 in Mt. Carmel, she was a daughter of the late George and Ada Holman Lord and the widow of A. Maxwell "Ace" Paget.
Mrs. Paget was retired as a first-grade teacher for Mechanicsburg School District and had also taught in Chadds Ford. She was a graduate of Bloomsburg State Teachers College.
She was a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, Mechanicsburg; past president of West Shore Rotary Anns; Ikebana International Harrisburg Chapter; and Pilgrim Commandry Ladies Auxiliary, Harrisburg. She was also a charter member of Zembo Temple Merry Widows, Harrisburg; a regular member of Harrisburg Garden Center; Commissioned Officers Mess, Mechanicsburg Navy Depot.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Roger Shoup will officiate at Monday's service. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County.

Joseph W. "Ike" Pompeo, II, 73, of 110 S. 10th St., Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 30, 1997 in Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1924 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Joseph William and Anna Mae Shank Pompeo.
Mr. Pompeo, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a retired cook for many hotels throughout the Northeast.
He worshiped in the United Methodist Faith and was a member of Mt. Holly Springs American Legion, the VFW, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Oriole Home Association, Royal Men's Club, the Lincoln Republican Club and the Central Democratic Club.
Surviving are three sisters, Helen R. Sowers and Ethel Myers, both of Mt. Holly Springs, and Anna Lee Nickel of North Carolina; a brother, Ronald of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing or services.

Celebration of life services for Philip E. "Phil" Rogers, 66, of 1 Bartlett Road, Durham, N.H., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel at Durham Community Church, Main Street, Durham, N.H.
He died Monday, July 28, 1997 in his home.
Born Jan. 8, 1931 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Dr. Horace E. and Joy Rommel Rogers.
Mr. Rogers, a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, and Dickinson College, Carlisle, joined the U.S. Army in 1954. He worked as a chemist for 14 years with Uniroyal Co., Naugatuck, Conn., and later with Davidson Rubber in New Hampshire where he was manager of plastics technology for 28 years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Chemical Society, a number of jazz bands, and the Cochecho Country Club.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Margie Shopp Rogers; a daughter, Jane Gombar of Dover; a son, Stuart of Dover; a brother, Bill of Shippensburg; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Jack Lynes will officiate at Saturday's service. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Durham Cemetery.
Friends may call after the ceremony in the family home on Bartlett Road, Durham.
