Services for John Stephen Ensminger Jr., 28, of 415 Bernheisel Bridge Road, Carlisle, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Harvest Church, New Kingstown.
He died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997 in Harrisburg as a result of a traffic accident.
Born Jan. 1, 1969 in Harrisburg, he was a son of John and Stella Ensminger of Carlisle.
Mr. Ensminger was employed by Foxe's Market and formerly by Karns Markets. He was also an apprentice auctioneer with Ensminger Auctioneers.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Harvest Church, New Kingstown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Erica Lynn of Carlisle; a brother, Christopher A., at home; paternal grandparents, John T. and Hilda Ensminger of Camp Hill; a maternal grandfather, Frank Pasillas of Lincoln, Calif.; and several aunts and uncles.
The Rev. Fred Tidy will officiate Tuesday's services. Burial will be in Longsdorf Cemetery, Silver Spring Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Myers Funeral Home Inc., 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, 6950 Carlisle Pike, New Kingstown, 17072.

William R. "Bob" Lick Sr., 84, of 101 Hillcrest Drive, Fairview Township, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born, Aug. 12, 1912 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Harrison and Nellie Knepper Lick Sr.
Mr. Lick was a retired produce merchant in the Broad Street Market, Harrisburg and Kline Village, Harrisburg.
He attended Fairview Brethren in Christ Church, Fairview Township.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret E. Fetrow Lick; a son, William R. Jr. of Grantham; a daughter, Alice L. Kelly of Fairview Township; a brother, Harrison M. Jr. of Metairie, La.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland with Pastor Simon A. Lehman Jr. officiating.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Brethren in Christ Church, 600 Evergreen Road, New Cumberland, 17070.

Private graveside services for Marietta Loose Parry, 84, of Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Township and formerly of Mechanicsburg and Drexel Hill, will be held Wednesday in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
She died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, in the nursing home.
Born Dec. 18, 1912 in La Porte, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Max C. and Emma Haak Loose and the widow of George Thomas Parry.
Mrs. Parry is survived by a son, G. Thomas Parry of South Sterling; a daughter, Marilow Parry Spaeth of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Bertha L. Russell of La Porte, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The Rev. Gerald J. Kole will officiate Wednesday's services.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Myers Funeral Home Inc., Mechanicsburg, is handling the arrangements.

Services for Clair D. Raffensperger, 84, of 7 W. McClure St., New Bloomfield, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Main and Church streets, New Bloomfield.
He died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, in Perry Village, New Bloomfield.
Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Arendtsville, he was the son of the late William N. and Elsie Bower Raffensperger and the widower of Agnes Wetzel Raffensperger.
A New Bloomfield businessman for over 50 years, Mr. Raffensperger was former owner of Perry Lanes Bowling and New Bloomfield Auto Care Company.
He was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church; Adams Lodge No. 319 F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory; Perry-Juniata Shrine Club; Zembo Luncheon Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Forest No. 43, Mifflintown; Moose Lodge No. 925, Millerstown; New Bloomfield Fire Company; and Camp Lookout, Potter County.
Surviving are his wife, Betty G. Raffensperger; three sons, Marlin C. and Gary L., both of New Bloomfield and Rev. Donald W. of McAllisterville; a daughter, Ethel R. Mowery of New Bloomfield; two step-sons, Michael C. George of Newport and Steven A. George of Millerstown; a step-daughter, Theresa Miller of Marysville; and a sister, Betty Nichols of Gettysburg; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five step-great-granchildren; and a step-great-great-granchild.
The Rev. Patricia Woolever will officiate Tuesday's services assisted by the Rev. Gary Bellis. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday in the church. Masonic services will begin at 2:45 p.m.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, is handling the arrangements.

Services for Sylvia A. Nauss Davis, 90, formerly of 14 S. Second St., Dillsburg, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg.
She died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997 in the Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born Jan. 13, 1907 in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Clara L. Hurst Nauss. She was the widow of Glenn S. Davis.
A retired factory worker for Shenandoah Floral Manufacturing, Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Mechanicsburg and the Golden Age Club and Hope Grace Seniors, both of Dillsburg.
Surviving are two daughters, May I. Fenicle of Dillsburg and Lorena A. Dunlap of Winchester, Va.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Anna Thompson will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Dillsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services for Mary W. Fidler, 74, of 2754 Moorgate Road, Baltimore, Md., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Bendersville.
She died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997 in Baltimore.
Born May 29, 1923 in Claysburg, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Ella L. Walter Weyandt and the widow of Glenn L. Fidler, who died in 1984.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan M. Williams of Baltimore; a son, John M. of Oakland, Calif.; a brother, Maxwell Weyandt of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a grandson.
The Rev. Joel L. Zeiders will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Benders Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1385 Rentzel Road, Biglerville.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services for Elmer "Fred" Hershey, 82, of 130 Meadow Brook Road, North Middleton Township, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
He died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, in Carlisle Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1914, in Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Floyd Sr. and Bessie Hershey.
A retired employee of the Borough of Carlisle, Mr. Hershey was employed by Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle, and Middlesex United Methodist Church following his retirement.
He was a member of Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle, and the usher board of the church. He also was a member of Carlisle Eagles and Shippensburg VFW.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Wilma Kingsborough Yinger Hershey; a son, Ray F. Bricker of Carlisle; a daughter, Barbara A. Fritz of Carlisle; a stepson, Vernon E. Yinger of Carlisle; a brother, John of Florida; two sisters, Helen O'Hara of Cumberland County and Geraldine Wallace of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ray F. Hershey; two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Harry Hershey; and two sisters, Fern Mentzer and Elizabeth Detwiler.
The Rev. Carl Spackman and the Rev. Gene W. McCallips will officiate at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in Trindle Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Private graveside services for Lee R. Sunday, 73, of 205 Hilltop Road, Boiling Springs will be held at the convenience of the family.
He died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997 in Manor Care Health Center.
Born May 1, 1924 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Edgar L. and Maud Brindle Sunday and resided most of his life in Middlesex.
Mr. Sunday was a graduate of Carlisle High School and attended Dickinson College. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a B-17 pilot.
He retired as a captain in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard after serving for 20 years.
After his retirement, he was employed as an air traffic controller at the Patuxent Naval Air Test Center at Lexington Park, Md.
He was a member of Middlesex United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs Golden Age Club, Carlisle Barracks Golf Club and both the Carlisle and national chapters of the AARP.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nellie "Nell" M. Dowders Sunday; two sons, Wayne L. of New York City and Robert L. of Carlisle; a brother, Jack K. of Carlisle; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Kenneth O. Hoke and the Rev. Gene McCallips will officiate at services. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middlesex Township.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cumberland County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 117 N. Hanover St., Carlisle 17013.
