Obituaries by LocationServices for Cletus A. Kipps Sr., 83, of 1000 Redwood Drive, Carlisle, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born March 8, 1914 in Forestville, Va., he was a son of the late Homer and Ora Bowers Kipps.
Mr. Kipps was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He was a Ford salesman for Buckley Motors, Carlisle, for 20 years and also worked for Bill Forbes Ford, Carlisle.
A veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, he was a member of St. John's Lodge No. 260 F&AM, Carlisle and attended the First Church of God, Carlisle.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley J. McKeehan Kipps; a son, Cletus A. Jr. of Carlisle; two daughters, Donna Clarke of Ocean City, Md., and Cathy Neff of Mt. Holly Springs; a brother, Dolph of Richmond, Va.; six sisters, Redith Boyce of Martinsburg, W.Va., Hazel Hoover of Winchester, Va., Helen Ashton of Hedgesville, W.Va., Jeanette Husler of Carlisle, Marie Brymesser of Carlisle, and Audrey Shiffler of Chambersburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
The Rev. D. Alan Mathna will officiate at Saturday's services. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Elsie A. Di Rienzo, 79, of Silver Spring Township, at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
She died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997 in Seidle Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
Born July 9, 1918 in Mt. Carmel Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Biss Kogut.
Mrs. Di Rienzo was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg; Good Shepherd Club, Camp Hill; and Little Flower Club, New Cumberland.
Surviving are her husband, Jeno D. Di Rienzo; a son, Joseph L. Di Rienzo of Steelton; a daughter, Jane Kober of New York City; a brother, Walter Kogut of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Chester P. Snyder will officiate at Saturday's services. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Township.

Services for Robert L. Roadcap, 53, of 901 Pheasant Drive North, Carlisle, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
He died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1997.
Born Oct. 15, 1943 in Halifax, he was a son of Beatrice Shrawder Roadcap of Halifax and the late Leonard Roadcap.
A graduate of Halifax High School. Mr. Roadcap was the store manager at Weis Markets, Carlisle, for 31 years. He attended First Church of God, Carlisle.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 28 years, Dinah Estright Roadcap; two daughters, Autumn J. Slear and Joy L. Roadcap, both of Carlisle; five sons, John C. of Killeen, Texas, Robert of York, Doug, Tim and Steve; three brothers, Leonard C. of Halifax, Larry E. of Carlisle and James of New Haven, Conn.; three sisters, Mary L. Carroll of Millersburg and Bonnie K. King and Elizabeth Roadcap, both of Halifax; and five grandchildren.
The Rev. Richard L. Reese will officiate at Monday's services. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Bellefonte.

Martha E. Witmer, 76, of 1640 Woodstock Road, Fayetteville, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1997 at home.
Born Nov. 26, 1920 in St. Thomas Township, Franklin County, she was the daughter of Susan Mentzer Meyers of Chambersburg and the late Harvey F. Meyers. She was the widow of A. Arthur Witmer, who died March 22, 1994.
In addition to her mother, surviving are two sons, John A. of Orrstown and Lowell F. of Carlisle; three daughters, L. Elaine Eberly of Fayetteville and S. Marie Sensenig and Carol E. Shank, both of Chambersburg; two brothers, Edmund Meyers of Dover and Harvey Meyers of Chambersburg; three sisters, Mary S. Frey of Chambersburg, Helen Stitziel of Denton, Texas, and Phoebe Anderson of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Rowe Mennonite Church, Shippensburg. Melvin Horst, Paul Deiter and Galen Horst will officiate. Burial will be in Old Rowe Cemetery, Southampton Township.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

Edna L. Clancy Mikolay, 76, of Gardners, Dickinson Township, died Aug. 11, 1997 at home.
Born in York, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Edna Hafer.
Mrs. Mikolay retired in 1983 after 20 years of service as a secretary for the former U.S. Expansion Bolt Company in York.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are her husband, Michael R. Mikolay; two daughters, Judy A. Eppley and Karen J. Palmer, both of Gardners; two sons, Patrick E. Clancy of York and Robert H. Clancy of Key West, Fla.; one stepson, Paul T. Mikolay of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Kathleen M. Wendall of Redlands, Fla.; two brothers, Phillip Hafer of New Jersey and William Hafer of York; four sisters, Alma Bentzel of Camp Hill, Mabel Winemiller of Glen Rock, Pauline Smyser of York and Ella Forry of Newark, Del.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at Etzweiler Funeral Home, York, with the Rev. Reginald Russo officiating. Burial was in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Priscilla LeVan Foster, 87, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 1997 at her daughter's home in Nanticoke.
Born Aug. 16, 1909 in Berwick, she was a daughter of Jacob and Amelia Kempfer LeVan. She was the widow of Worden J. Foster, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Foster graduated from Northfield Seminary and Syracuse University, majoring in fine arts. She taught art in Pennsylvania school districts and was assistant public librarian in Mt. Holly Springs.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Mt. Holly Springs.
She joined the Presbyterian Church when she moved to State College in 1983.
In 1994, she moved to the home of her daughter, Ann Gorka of Nanticoke.
Mrs. Foster is also survived by one son, Robert J. of State College; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul.
Services will be held at the family's convenience in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, Mt. Holly Springs, is in charge of local arrangements.

Services for Irene Briggs, 85, of the Sara Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle will be on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in the Myers Funeral Home Inc., Mechanicsburg. She died Friday, August 16, 1997, in the home.
Born July 20, 1912 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth Delle Donne LaPenna, and was the widow of Clarence Briggs.
Mrs. Briggs was retired from the former Debra Dress Company in Steelton, and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rutherford.
Surviving are her daughter, Gloria Blazina of Mechanicsburg; her son, Francis V. Salerno also of Mechanicsburg, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren..

Born December 11, 1947 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Luther E. and the late Zita Da FeHarper Shoop.
She was a cosmetology teacher at Empire Beauty School, Mechanicsburg and Headhunters Academy in Lemoyne. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Mechanicsburg.
In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth P. Cordeiro of Camp Hill; a sister, Marilynn f. Zaydon of Mechanicsburg, and a granddaughter.
