She died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997 in the home.
Born Aug. 11, 1901 in Middlesex Township, she was a daughter of the late Marlin L. and Emma Blosser Burgett and the widow of John E. Lackey.
Mrs. Lackey farmed with her husband in Cumberland County for over 30 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carlisle and a teacher in the nursery for over 25 years. She was also a member of the No. 6 Sunday School Class.
Surviving is a son, Richard B. of Carlisle; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kermit E. Lackey; eight brothers and two sisters.
The Rev. Michael V. Minnix will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.

Larry R. Mullen, 62, of 5 West Pine St., Mt. Holly Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997 at the home of his sister, Janice Shank of Newville.
Born March 25, 1935 in Mt. Holly Springs, he was a son of the late Harry B. Sr. and Mary K. Yeingst Mullen who lived all his life in Mt. Holly Springs.
Mr. Mullen was a 1953 graduate of Carlisle High School and retired March 28, 1997 from McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs with 32 years of service.
Besides his sister, he is survived by three nieces, a nephew, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Jr. in 1988 and Richard B. in 1995.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with the Rev. Gerald Knoblet officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.

Services for Richard W. Blocher, 85, formerly of 201 E. Burd St., Shippensburg, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, in Shepherd's Choice Hospice, Gettysburg.
Born June 19, 1912, in Bendersville, he was a son of the late John C. and Alice G. Wert Blocher and the widower of Beulah M. Day Blocher.
Mr. Blocher was retired from Beidel Printing House, Shippensburg, and earlier in his life had worked at The Sentinel in Carlisle.
He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Cumberland Valley Lodge 315 Free and Accepted Masons, Valley Forest 145 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Shippensburg Scottish Rite Club and Harrisburg Consistory.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie S. Robinson of Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred J. Cutschall of New Oxford and Pauline A. Koontz of Gettysburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Bonnie B. Hoffman will officiate at Sunday's service. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.

Mary Ruth Edwards, 76, of Indian Lake, Fla., formerly of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997 in Mechanicsburg.
Born Oct. 3, 1920 in Lime Ridge to the late Bruce and Ann Cain, she was retired from the Book of the Month Club.
She also was formerly employed by Wise Potato Chips.
She is survived by her husband, James T. Edwards; a son, Jimmy M. of Pottstown; a daughter, Ann Beagle of Indian Lake; a sister, Martha Walter of Enola; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. William C. Butts officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
The Rev. Richard K. Guistwite, 76, of 272 W. Willow St., Carlisle, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997 in his home.
Born Nov. 17, 1920 in Reading, he was a son of the late Albert and Emma Kline Guistwite.
A graduate of Evangelical School of Theology in Myerstown, the Rev. Guistwite pastored in the Eastern Conference of the Evangelical Congregational Church and has served churches in Dauphin, East Weissport, Lavelle, Frackville, Plymouth Meeting, Reading and Annville.
He served as visitation pastor at Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church.
He was chairman of the Conference Pastoral Relations Board and was active with Christian education and camping ministries and Rotary International.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Elsie L. Moyer Guistwite; a daughter, Janice E. Singmaster of Carlisle; two sons, Dr. Kenneth R. of Carlisle and Chaplain Major Philip T. of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, with Bishop John Moyer, Dr. Robert Hower and the Rev. Bradley Knepp officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.

She died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997 in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born June 7, 1903 in Mansville, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Henry E. and Mary E. Turnbaugh Powell and the widow of James R. Reisinger.
A former cook, Mrs. Reisinger previously worked at the Varsity Shop and Sugar Bowl in Shippensburg, the former Bratton's Restaurant in Mifflin and Selinsgrove Center, Selinsgrove.
She attended Shippensburg Church of the Nazerene and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Nook and Mifflintown American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth R. of Shippensburg and Vance L. of Carlisle; two daughters, Judith Feidler of Dickson, Tenn., and Eleanor Bluford of Richfield; a stepdaughter, Jesse Reisinger of Millerstown; a half brother, Danny Powell of Harrisburg; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward A., who died Feb. 12, 1997.
The Rev. Todd A. Risser will officiate at Monday's service. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. Paul's Cemetery, Beal Township, Juniata County.

Mabel J. Stuck, 97, of Franklin County Nursing Home, formerly of Newburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997 in the home.
Born March 11, 1900 in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late William B. and Annie Burkholder Paxton and the widow of James E. Stuck, who died June 13, 1976.
Mrs. Stuck retired in 1973 from Lurgan Elementary School, where she worked as a cook for 19 years. Earlier in her life she had worked at the former Penn Pants Factory in Shippensburg and Blue Mountain Restaurant in Newburg.
She was a member of Newburg First Church of God, its progressive Sunday school class, and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Surviving are her son, James E. of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Tourney of Newburg; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, with the Rev. K. Hull Byers officiating.
Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Lurgan Township.

Wayne L. Wadel Sr., 68, of 5 Summit Dr., Shippensburg, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born May 3, 1929 in Southampton Township, Franklin County, he was a son of the late William P. and Anna P. Shriner Wadel.
He was the widower of Mildred J. Dunlap Wadel, who died March 24, 1988.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Wadel was a mason and owned and operated his own construction and masonary contracting business in the Shippensburg area for many years.
He was a member of Lurgan United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his second wife, Janet Swartz Arnold Wadel; two sons, Wayne L. Jr. and Ronald A. Sr., both of Shippensburg; one daughter, Loudenis Beidel of Newburg; five stepsons, Clinton P. and Keith A. Arnold, both of Chambersburg, Stephen J. Arnold of Newburg, Edward L. Arnold of York Haven and Alan W. Arnold of Mainsville; two brothers, Ira H. and John M., both of Shippensburg; three sisters, Julia E. Wadel and Anna Mary Weaver, both of Shippensburg, and Nellie Lehman of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one step-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lurgan United Brethren Church, 7607 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Ed Calhoun officiating.
Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Lurgan Township, Franklin County.
