Nellie Wright, a resident of Chapel Point at Carlisle, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Ronan Funeral Home, South Middleton Township, will announce arrangements when complete.
Nellie E. Saunders Pritchett Wright, 81, of Chapel Pointe, Carlisle, formerly of Manassas, Va., died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1915 in Clifton Forge, Va., she was a daughter of the late Russell and Katie Tomlinson Saunders. She was the widow of Arthur Pritchett and Charles Wright.
A retired nurse assistant, Mrs. Wright was a member of Parkside Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Manassas.
Surviving are one son, Arthur "Eddie" Pritchett of Aldie, Va.; a stepdaughter, Alice Burd of Shrewsberry; a stepson, Charles T. Wright of West Hartford, Conn.; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Thomas Rowett officiating.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, Va. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel Pointe. Ronan Funeral Home, South Middleton Township, is handling arrangements.

Ruth M. Veroukes, 95, of ManorCare Health Services, South Middleton Township, formerly of Carlisle, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997 in ManorCare.
Born March 22, 1902 in Portland, Ore., she was a daughter of the late Charles Albert and Mary Frances Kilpack Shultz. She was the widow of William Veroukes.
A graduate of St. Mary's Preparatory School of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Veroukes was a retired office manager for the former Newville Shoe Co. with 30 years of service.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Shrine Catholic Church, 140 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle.
Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery, Swatara Township, Dauphin County. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling arrangements.

Leon Michael Crenshaw, 44, of Santa Fe, N.M., formerly of Carlisle, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1997 at home.
Born Jan. 21, 1953 in Fort Dix, N.J., he was a son of Ret. Col. Leon Crenshaw and Marianne Crenshaw of Shippensburg.
A 1971 graduate of Carlisle High School, Mr. Crenshaw attended Penn State University.
He was general guest manager of Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe.
In addition to his parents, surviving are three sisters, Sylvia Schneider of Louisville, Ky., Linda Mazzuczhi of Monmouth, N.J. and Jennifer Cook of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are pending in Santa Fe.

Services for Ruth M. Fahnestock, 69, of 1 W. Penn St., Carlisle will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in North Middleton Church of God, North Middleton Township.
She died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997 in the home of her daughter.
Born July 25, 1928 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Shank Bouder and resided most of her life in the Carlisle area.
Ms. Fahnestock was a former employee of Carlisle Tire and Rubber Company, Carlisle and was a member of the North Middleton Church of God.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary J. Stains of Carlisle, Alice M. Madison of Pine Grove and Susan J. Barber of Anchorage, Alaska; five brothers, John Bouder, James Bouder and David Bouder, all of Carlisle and Donald and William Bouder, both of Chambersburg; three sisters, Rebecca Oyler of Mt. Holly Springs, Grace George and Helen Bouder, both of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Bouder, who died in 1990.
The Rev. John E. Byers will officiate Tuesday's service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church at P.O. Box 216, Newburg, 17240, or to Hospice of Carlisle Hospital, 1200 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, 17013.

Robert Franklin Hamilton, 72, of 404 Charles St., Clayton, N.C., formerly of Gardners, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997.
Mr. Hamilton was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Helen R. Hamilton of Clayton; two sons, Robert of Spring Grove, Pa. and Rickey of Raleigh, N.C.; six sisters, Ruth Miller of New Cumberland, Pauline Fanus and Betty Miller, both of Melbourne, Fla., Blondena Kramer and Miriam Eichelberger, both of Mechanicsburg and Joyce Minnick of Newville; a brother, Charles Hamilton of Melbourne, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, N.C.

Donald E. Atherton, 71, of 4403 Orrstown Road, Orrstown, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, in his home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1926 in Williamson, Franklin County, he was a son of the late Jacob L. and Elsie May Stoner Atherton.
In 1981 he retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, with over 33 years' service.
He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Italy.
He attended the former St. Thomas High School.
He and his wife, Emma G. Wenger Atherton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 9.
He is survived in addition to his wife by three sons, Barry W. Atherton of Orrstown, Dale E. Atherton of Warfordsburg and D. Edward Atherton of Chambersburg; one brother, Robert E. Atherton of Chambersburg; two sisters, Jean Deavor and Vesta Fox, both of Chambersburg; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister and a son, Richard L. Atherton, who died on March 23, 1974.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday in the Orrstown United Brethren Church at 11 a.m., the Rev. Charles F. Tolbert, officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Greene Township.
The viewing will be Tuesday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. in Shippensburg and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Orrstown United Brethren Church, P.O. Box 180, Orrstown, 17244, or to your favorite charity.

Junior Lee Hunter, 67, of 1029 Mainsville Road, Shippensburg, died Friday in the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
He was born Oct. 11, 1929 in Shippensburg. He was a son of the late Russell and Anna M. Patterson Hunter.
He retired from the former TRW Company, Harrisburg, with 30 years' service.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are one sister, Grace M. Culbertson of Orrstown and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, the Rev. George D. Strayer, Sr. officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, 17201.
The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

Funeral services for Allen Floyd Hess, 82 of Wormleysburg, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Musselman Funeral Home, Inc. Lemoyne.
He died Thursday, Sept. 11, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born in Boiling Springs to the late Llewellyn Floyd Hess and Mable Widner Hess, he was the widower of Bernice Colestock Hess.
Mr. Hess was an inheritance tax examiner for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and a baseball scout for the former St. Louis Browns and Baltimore Orioles. He also was a bartender at the former Penn Harris Men's Club.
A member of West Shore F&AM Lodge 681 and Fox-Eichelberger VFW post 7415, New Cumberland, he was the founder of the Pennsylvania VFW Teener League. He graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the Class of 1932.
He is survived by a daughter, Allena Bennett and a brother, Richard Hess of Boiling Springs.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monroe Township. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 till 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 p.m. till service time. Masonic services will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, Capital Region Chapter, 1804 N. 6th St., Harrisburg 17102.
