Born Nov. 25, 1904 in New Castle, Del., she was the daughter of the late Harry M. And Margaret W. Grubb Bare.
She was retired from the First Bank and Trust of Mechanicsburg, and was also employed with Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. of Harrisburg.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg, and its John E. Cline Sunday School Class, the Mechanicsburg Women's Club, a member and former board member of the Mechanicsburg Museum Association, a life member of Seidle Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a member and former volunteer with Friends of Mechanicsburg Area Library, a volunteer for Mechanicsburg Meals on Wheels, and a member of the board of the Mechanicsburg Area Alumni Association and a recipient of its Loyalty Award.
She is survived by three nephews, Lloyd D. Coover, of Beaver Falls, David B. Coover and Martin L. Coover, both of Mechanicsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg with the Rev. Donald J. Ciampa and the Rev. Wendell S. Junkin officiating.
Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Alfred E. Crider, 89, of Messiah Village and formerly of Elizabethtown, at Grantham Brethren in Christ Church.
He died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997 at the village.
Born in Abilene, Kan. to the late Harry S. and Anna Bert Crider, he was a retired radio engineer and the former owner and operator of Annville Frozen Food Service. He also was retired as a manager of the boys department of David Martin Clothing Store, Elizabethtown.
He is a member of Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church and attended the Grantham Brethren in Christ Church. He was a board member and former deacon with the Brethren in Christ Church, having served in Fairland, Pennsylvania, Upland, California, and Elizabethtown.
He was founder and board member for 35 years with the Kenbrook Bible Camp, Lebanon, was a former member of the North Annville School Board and a active volunteer at Messiah Village.
He was a graduate of the former Messiah Academy, Grantham.
He is survived by his wife Martha Wengert Crider; a son, Larry F., of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Elaine K. Wengert of New Cumberland, Janet K. Abreu of Redondo Beach, Calif. and Gail L. Crider, of Pittsboro, N.C.; a brother, Charles Crider of East Petersburg; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Dr. Robert B. Ives and Rev. Eugene Wingert will officiate at Tuesday's services Burial will be in Grantham Memorial Park.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. Cocklin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Born Jan. 29, 1956 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Ruth (Kann) and Luther Karper III, Shippensburg.
Prior to his illness he owned and operated Karper Brothers Custom Carpentry. He was a member of the Lone Star Hunting Club.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Cheryl L. Zanzini Karper; one daughter, Crystal D., Chambersburg; one stepson, Aron R. Shoap, Shippensburg; five brothers, Jamie L., Newburg; Steven D., Orrstown; Luther S., Matthew A., Timothy J. and seven sisters, Marcia L., Brenda K., April R. Rotz, Susan J. Ressler, Candace E. Warren, Lorrie A. Highlands, all of Shippensburg; Pati D. Knepper, Chambersburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Keith A. Shoap.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.

Ruth Guldbrandsen McDonald, 59, of 100 Cherry Grove Road, Shippensburg, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born Nov. 18, 1937 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Walter M. and Frances W. Sivertsen Guldbrandsen.
She was retired from Shippensburg Area High School, where she had taught home economics. Earlier in her life, she taught home economics at Baden-Economy Junior High School, Beaver County.
A graduate of Perry High School, Pittsburgh and a 1959 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she was a member of the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, where she was a church elder, former Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Friends in Faith Inc. Bible study class.
Mrs. McDonald was a former home economist for Penn State Cooperative Extension in Franklin County, co-founder and co-chairman of Sisters In Strength, chairman of the Cumberland County Breast Cancer Team, and a trained volunteer in the American Cancer Society programs Special Touch and Reach for Recover.
She was a member of Soroptmist International of Chambersburg, Chambersburg Quilt Guild, Shippensburg Public Library board, American Association of University Women, and a 4-H leader.
She was involved with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in the Shippensburg area and was well known as a judge of handmade garments, food, and crafts at area fairs and 4-H roundups.
She is survived by her husband, Richard C. McDonald Jr.; a son, Andrew M. McDonald of Bethlehem; a daughter, Christine F. McDonald of Shippensburg; a brother, Grant C. Guldbrandsen of Lower Burrell; a sister, Frances G. Fichetola of Hammomton, N.J.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Middle Spring Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James R. Richwine officiating. Friends may call at the church following services on Saturday.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, is in charge of the arrangements.

Born Feb. 24, 1912 in Greene Township, Franklin County, he was the son of the late James A. and Margaret Lockbaum Mahon.
He retired in 1977 from the National Automatic Sprinkler Industry. He was a member of the Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 669.
He was a life member of the Chambersburg Club, a member of Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223, Shippensburg; Wesley Yeager American Legion Post 606, Fort Loudon; and was a former member of the Chambersburg Country Club, where he won the club championship in 1963.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Heckman Mahon; a son, Robert E. Shank of Lurgan; two daughters, Sharon E. Sanderford of Fayetteville and Sandra L. Cummings of Annandale, Va.; a half-sister, Ora Largent of Marion; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a half-brother.
The Rev. Patrick B. Jones will officiate at Wednesday's services. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Township. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Donald Leroy Martin, 74, of Quarterstaff Road, Winston-Salem, N.C., died Saturday, Sept. 20, 1997 at his home.
He was born April 16, 1923 in Carlisle to the late Charles Donovan and Mary Lupp Martin.
A graduate of Philadelphia University of the Arts, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II under Gen. Douglas McArthur's Headquarters. He retired from AT&T in 1984 after 31 years of service and was a member of Friedland Moravian Church.
Surviving is his wife, Nova Smith Martin; a daughter, Marilyn Hester of Kernersville; two sons, Gary D. Martin of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Stephen C. Martin of Germanton; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry S. Martin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Steve Craver officiating. Entombment will follow in the funeral home.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cody Eugene Culbertson High, infant son of Shaun E. High and Kristine M. Culbertson of 7764 Nyesville Road, Chambersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997 in Hershey Medical Center, where he had been a patient since birth.
He was born March 15, 1997 in Carlisle.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Larry E. and Mary Jane Culberston of Chambersburg; paternal grandparents, Deborah Robinson, of Chambersburg and Dennis High, of Shippensburg; maternal great-grandparents Lester and Helen Shatzer of St. Thomas, Pa., paternal great-grandparents Kenneth and Carolyn Stouffer of Chambersburg; paternal great-great-grandmother Mary High of Chambersburg; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Sept. 20 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert P. Conway officiated. Interment was in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

He died Sunday, Sept. 21, 1997 at the health center.
Born Oct. 25, 1911 in Estonia to the late Julius and Minna Lilouer Hutt, he came to the United States in 1948 and became a citizen five years later. He was self-employed as a mink farmer for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Liidia A. Hutt, and a sister, Leonora Rinker of Estonia.
Funeral arrangements are through Cremation Society of Harrisburg.
