Born Feb. 15, 1936 in Wormleysburg, she was a daughter of the late Alexander Eli and Zelma Mae Dunlap Freedman.
Mrs. Nicholson was retired from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Ships Parts Control Center.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence L. Nicholson; two daughters, Diane M. Baker of Yorkhaven and Valerie M. Nicholson of Phoenixville; a son, Steven A. of Hummelstown; a sister, Shirley L. Freedman of Camp Hill; a brother, Jack Freedman of Camp Hill; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg.
Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday in the funeral home.

Services for Robert W. Taylor, 70, of 1179 Boiling Springs Road, Mechanicsburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs.
He died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, at this home.
Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Sherman and Mary Roberts Taylor.
He retired from the Fleet Material Support Office, a tenant of the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot with 32 years of service.
A World War II Navy veteran, he was past commander of the American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg, member of the Carlisle First Church of God, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 477, B.P.O.E. 578, American Association of Retired People 4377 and St. Johns Lodge 260 F&AM, all of Carlisle.
He was also a senior member of the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery and member of the National Rifle Association.
He is the widower of Doris K. Taylor who passed away July 3, 1976.
Surviving are his wife, Mary J. Gibb Taylor; four daughters, Connie L. Marks and Tina L. Magill of Mechanicsburg and Barbara J. Lynch and Roxann K. Killinger of Carlisle; one step-daughter, Suzanne G. Keck of Carlisle; one step-son, David C. Gibb of Carlisle; one brother, Sherman T. Taylor of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. D. Alan Mathna will officiate at Tuesday's service. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, where a B.P.O.E. Post 578 memorial service will be held at 8 p.m.

Norman D. Kuhn Sr., 53, of 21 N. Hanover St., Apartment #2 died Saturday evening in the Carlisle Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1944 in South Middleton Township to the late James and Lula M. Angle Sheaffer Kuhn Sr.
He was predeceased by a brother, James N. Kuhn Jr. and a sister, Betty J. Baughman.
He was employed by Thomas Sewing Center, Carlisle. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion #101 and the Eagles Arie #1299 both of Carlisle.
He was survived by his son, Norman D. Kuhn Jr., of Newville, one sister, Bonna L. Lebo, of Carlisle, half-sister, Peggy Kimes, of Harrisburg and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs with the Rev. Robert Seibold officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Scott A. Cummings, 27, of 48 Thompson Creek Road, Shippensburg, died Thursday in Toboyne Township, Perry County.
He was born February 10, 1970 in Chambersburg, a son of Betty Pyne Cromwell, Orrstown, and Bruce E. Cummings Jr., Shippensburg.
He was employed by Land O Lakes, Carlisle.
He attended Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church. He was a 1988 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School, a member of The Sons of the Amvets, Chambersburg, and the Pleasant Hall Fire Company.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Heather Rotz Cummings; one son, Dolton A. Cummings, Shippensburg; two step-sons, Zachary R. Marpoe and Jeremy J. Marpoe, of Shippensburg; step-mother, Carol L. Cummings, Shippensburg; step-father, George C. Cromwell Sr., Orrstown; two brothers, Jerry E. Cummings, Shippensburg, and Allen L. Cummings, Orrstown; two step-brothers, Merrill W. Cromwell, stationed with the US Navy in Lexington Park, Md., and George C. Cromwell Jr., Orbisonia; three step-sisters, Brenda L. Zeger, Ft. Loundon, Kathy A. Reasner, Newport, N.C., and Cindy K. Zeis, Frederick, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg with the Rev. Robert G. Murr officiating. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Lurgan Township. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

John Joseph Lefkowski, 78, of 518 Crains Gap Road, Carlisle died Saturday, September 27, 1997, in the Carlisle Hospital.
He was born May 19, 1919 in Dickson City. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Helen Novakowski Lefkowski.
He was preceded in death by a step-mother, Bridget Kobesko Lefkowski and a daughter, Anna Mae Pearson.
He was an employee of Mechanicsburg Army Depot and later retired from Carlisle Barracks in 1973. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle; a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus; charter member and the first vice president of Capitol City Poka Dancers Association and a member of its demonstration team; a US Army Veteran of WW II 25th division, stationed in the Scofield Barracks during the bombing of Pearl Harbor; and received the Purple Heart, American Defense Service Medal with one bronze star and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with one bronze star.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Mary Thompson Lefkowski, two sons, Donald E. Moffit, Gardners, and William Robert Lefkowski, Chadsworth, Calif.; four brothers, Alfed, of Dickson City, Chester of Pine Island, N.Y., Joseph, of San Antonia, Texas and Edward, of Meneral Wells, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patricks Catholic Church, Marsh Drive, Carlisle with the Rev. Andrew J. Fontanella as celebrant. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m.
Mabel E. Grove, 85, a resident of the Inn at Luther Ridge and formerly of 10429 Thornwood Road, Shippensburg, died Sunday, September 28, 1997 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born September 24, 1912 in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine Nissley Sollenberger. She was the widow of Henry W. Grove, who died June 23, 1996.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was a charter member of the Franklin County Society of Farm Women Group #2 and a past president of the Franklin County Society of Farm Women. She was on the organizational committee of the Shippensburg Community Fair, and a member of the Shippensburg Civic Club. She was a former member of the Cumberland County Sabbath School Association and a former board member of the Franklin County Extension Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Norma G. Greider and Nila F. Grove, of Carlisle and Aralene P. Trostle, of Shippensburg, one brother, Irvin Sollenberger, of Chambersburg, one sister, Mary Sollenberger, of Chambersburg and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg, with the Rev. Jaye M. Bartle officiating. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery, Greene Township. Viewing will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m.

Gregory M. Ott, 31, of 335 E. Orange St., Shippensburg, died Sunday, September 28, 1997 in the Chambersburg Hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Greene Township.
He was born April 2, 1966 in Chambersburg. He was the son of Arthur D. and Evelyn R. Glee Ott, Shippensburg.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew D. and Robert J. Ott.
He was a 1985 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
He was employed by Shippensburg University.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a companion, Patsy A. Kelley; one son, Nathan M. Ott, at home; four brothers, Stephen A. Ott, of Roxbury, Daniel C. Ott and Alan R. Ott, both of Shippensburg, Brian R. Ott, of Orrstown; one sister, Suzanne L. Kohr, of Harrisburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Robert E. Adams, 66, of 530 Second St., Carlisle, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born Jan. 12, 1931 in Bloserville to the late Roy and Emma Nickel Adams, he attended Carlisle High School.
He was formerly employed as a security guard at Cumberland County Prison, Carlisle Hospital and C.H Masland and Sons in Carlisle.
Mr. Adams attended Immanuel United Brethren Church in Carlisle and was a member of the Gobin Guards and the White Circle Club, both of Carlisle.
He was a former member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, V. June Weigle Adams; two daughters, Susan Doyle of Newville and Barbara Walker of Boiling Springs; three stepsons, Barry B. Chestnut of Dillsburg, Dennis O. Chestnut of East Berlin and Richard C. Chestnut of Boiling Springs; a stepdaughter, Shari M. Weary of New Bloomfield; two brothers, Richard L. Adams of Carlisle and Clyde L. Adams of Gladewater, Texas; a sister, Ruth Ann Blumanstock of Carlisle; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.
