Born Feb. 27, 1913 in Harrisburg, she was retired from the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee and was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin D. Miller; a stepdaughter, Margo E. Miller of Lemoyne; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman will officiate at Tuesday's services.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Daisy E. Mixell, 68, of 301 Walnut Dale Road, Shippensburg, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg.
She died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997 in Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born June 14, 1929 in Cleversburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Helm Ingram and the stepdaughter of the late Bruce Gontz.
A member of South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg, she worked at the University Lodge and for various factories in the Shippensburg area.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223, both of Shippensburg, and The Women of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 842, Chambersburg.
Surviving are her husband, Dean S. Mixell; two sons, Gary L. and Danny C., both of Shippensburg; two daughters, Diane L. Bauserman of Shippensburg and Gay R. Weaver of Hanover; two brothers, Jack Ingram of Newville and Clifford "Butch" Gontz of Shippensburg; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The Rev. Joe Baer will officiate at Saturday's services. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial services for Dr. Roy Franklin Underwood, 78, of 311 Walnut St., Shippensburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Road, Shippensburg.
He died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997 in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1918 in Gatewood, Oregon County, Mo., he was a son of the late Henry F. and Icy J. Hackworth Underwood.
Dr. Underwood was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving with the 15th Air Force in Italy as an aerial gunner, earning the Air Medal.
Prior to the war, he attended the former Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University, for pre-professional training. Following the war, he received his doctorate of optometry from Pennsylvania State College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He practiced optometry at 60 E. King St., Shippensburg, from January 1949 until October 1987.
Dr. Underwood was a lifetime member of Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society, the Pennsylvania and American optometric associations and American Academy of Optometry.
He also studied at Gesell Institute of Child Development, New Haven, Conn.
A member of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church and former member of Shippensburg Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder, trustee, Sunday School superintendent and teacher.
He was past master of Cumberland Valley Masonic Lodge 315 of Shippensburg and a member of Harrisburg Consistory, Scottish Rite Club of Shippensburg and various other masonic organizations.
He also was a member of International Brotherhood of Magicians, King Ring No. 94 of Hagerstown, Md., Cumberland Valley Woodcarvers Club and a former member of Shippensburg Lions Club. He served on the board of directors of Shippensburg Area School District and was a trustee for Shippensburg Public Library for 30 years.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline C. Champion Underwood; one daughter, Lisa A. Underwood of Kensington, Md.; and one sister, Leona Herald of Stillwater, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Houston.
The Rev. James R. Richwine will officiate at the services Oct. 18. Friends may call afterward at the church.

Born March 25, 1921 in Silver Spring Township, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Carrie Lay Shearer.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Shearer was employed by the new C.W. Fritz Co.
He was a member of Harvest Church of New Kingstown and Mechanicsburg Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Betty P. Baker Shearer; one son, Stephen V. of Carlisle; three brothers, Dayton of Carlisle, Nester of Mechanics-burg and Monte of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Russel Tiday will officiate at Monday's service. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, William H. Rowe; two daughters, Brenda S. Reardon of Green Creek, N.J., and Barbara Cunnane of Glenside; two sisters, Jean Mittereder of Carlisle and Mary Alice Kennedy of Mechanicsburg; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Gene W. McCallips will officiate at Sunday's service. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township, at the convenience of the family.

Born May 11, 1909 in Newburg, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur C. and Carrie Louella Kohr Snoke and the widow of Roy M. Davidson and Vernon Frymire.
Mrs. Frymire was a farmer and later worked for Johnnie's Restaurant, Newburg.
She was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church and their Bible Sunday school class and the Ladies Aid Society.
She was also a member of AARP No. 2525, Shippensburg; Farm Women Group No. 19; and she made many quilts and donated them to the Salvation Army.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth W. Davidson of Reisterstown, Md.; three daughters, Fredith L. Diehl and Rhonda L. Carbaugh, both of Newburg and Betty M. Chamberland of Shippensburg; a step-daughter, Nina Faye Brandt of Wichita, Kan.; two step-sons, Donald Frymire of Kansas and Vernon Frymire Jr. of Thomas, Okla.; three brothers, Charles Snoke of Newville, Walter Snoke of Shippensburg and Jay Snoke of Newburg; a sister, Caroline Myers of Newburg; a nephew, who they raised, Dr. Jay Frank Davidson of Mechanicsburg; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. John L. Shellenberger and the Rev. J. Roy Bower will officiate Tuesday's services. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, Lurgan Township.

He died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1918 in York County, he was a son of the late Roy and Nora Nell Harbold.
Mr. Harbold, a former mayor of Franklintown and United States Army Veteran of World War II, was a bus driver for the York Transportation Company.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Franklintown; the Dillsburg Borough Water and Sewer Authority; former chief of the Franklintown and Community Fire Company; past president of the Cumberland County Fire Association; York Antique Car Club; AACA Gettysburg Region; the Mechanicsburg Club; and the South Mountain VFW Post No. 6771, Dillsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Marie L. Lucas Harbold; a son, Larry R. of Dillsburg; a daughter, Karen L. Lenig of Dillsburg; two brothers, R. Boyd Harbold of Doraville, Ga. and Curvin of Charlotte Hall, Md.; a sister, Charlotte Thomas of Camp Hill; and five grandsons.
The Revs. Paul Wislocky and Robert Sassaman will officiate Tuesday's services. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery.
