He died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Nov. 3, 1925 in Friendship, Ind. to the late Clarence and Grace Kittenbrink Siekerman, he was a retired carpenter for Rite Aid Corp. in Shiremanstown and a former employee of the Reading Railroad.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704.
Surviving are his wife, Miriam V. Stewart Siekerman; two sons Donald S. of Harrisburg and John K. of New Bloomfield RR 2; a daughter, Wendy K. Stoufer of Harrisburg; a brother, James Siekerman of Henderson, Nev.; a sister, Jeanette Grundset of Largo, Fla; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville.

Margie S. Weidner, 85, of 4023 Carlisle Road, Gardners. died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997 at Forest Park Nursing Home in Carlisle.
Born June 9, 1912 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Kump Showers and the widow of R. Ray Weidner. She was retired from the former C.H. Musselman Co., Gardners.
Mrs. Weidner was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Goodyear, where she taught Sunday school classes for over 35 years. She also belonged to the Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna C. Miller of Gardners; a sister, Lottie V. Bream of Gardners; two granddaughters; and three great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Gibson-Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs with the Rev. Kenneth G. Swick officiating.
Interment will be in Goodyear Cemetery, Dickinson Township. Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.

Rita I. Ballachino, of 96 Beagle Club Road, Middlesex Township, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997 at home.
Born in Erie, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresia Stadter Wunschel and the widow of Alvin B. Ruhr and Anthony G. Sylvester.
Mrs. Ballachino was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and was a member of Blessed Katharine Drexel Church, Mechanicsburg.
She is survived by her husband Angelo P. Ballachino; three daughters, Marian W. McCoy of Carlisle, Kathleen R. Totoiu of Jensen Beach, Fla. and Joanne T. Head of Neodesha, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in her church with Rev. James R. O'Brien as the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Carlisle.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.

Joseph Francis Coyne Sr., 64, of Mechanicsburg, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1933 in Pittston, he was a son of the late James P. and Margaret Barrett Coyne.
Retired from Texaco Inc. in Mechanicsburg, Mr. Coyne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo Coyne; three daughters, Ann R. Devlin of Lewisberry, Kathy M. Fojutowski of Mechanicsburg and Margy M. Coyne of Shiremanstown; one son, Joseph F. Jr. of Camp Hill; three sisters, Mae Middleton, Patricia Dessoye and Sally McCrone, all of Pittston; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Coyne, and one sister, Eleanor Appel.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Chester P. Snyder officiating.

Born June 3, 1913 in South Dickinson Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Esther Myers Fanus. She was the widow of Clifford E. Beam, who died in 1952.
Mrs. Beam was a retired employee of McCoy Electronics, Mt. Holly Springs, with 25 years of service.
She was a member of Goodyear Lutheran Church, Gardners.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth Ann Kuntz of Gardners, Lois M. Sowers of San Jose, Calif., and Nancy L. Fernbaugh of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Laverne E. of Gardners and Clifford E. Jr. of Dillsburg; two sisters, Cora Waugman of Carlisle and Gloria Gitt of Boiling Springs; two brothers, J. Parker Fanus of Gardners and Sheldon Fanus of Leesburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mary H. Carpenter, 81, of 6 Burgundy Circle, Boiling Springs, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997 at home.
The widow of Russell Carpenter, she was an employee of J.C. Penney Co. for 38 years.
Mrs. Carpenter was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs.
Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Murphy of Boiling Springs; three sisters, Martha Dasher and Rebecca Murphy, both of Boiling Springs, and Sarah Casey of Carlisle; three brothers, Charles A. Hefelfinger of Levittown, Noel Hefelfinger of Boiling Springs and Frank Hefelfinger of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and James Hefelfinger; and two sisters, Alysann Bucher and Dorys Clepper.

Born July 30, 1908 in Markes, she was a daughter of the late George M. and Clara Hopkins Scott.
Mrs. Strayer was retired from the former Marden Clothing Company, Shippensburg. She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.
Surviving are her husband, William G. "Tom" Strayer; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
The Rev. Sampson R. Myers will officiate at today's services. Burial will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, Southampton Township.

Albert F. Houck, 68, of 62 W. Ridge St., Carlisle, died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997 at home.
Born Aug. 25, 1929 in Stockertown, he was a son of the late Paul E. and Eva Young Houck.
A 1948 graduate of Nazareth Area High School, Mr. Houck was employed as a mason for Local 71 and was a retired employee of Adams Wholesalers of Carlisle.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Ushers' Association. He was a former Cub Scout master at St. Paul's and a life member of Cumberland-Goodwill Fire Co., Carlisle. He was also a member of Carlisle Elks Lodge 578 and the Teamsters union in Harrisburg.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Marion V. Himler Houck; two sons, Thomas A. of Carlisle and Paul W. of Lynchburg, Va.; two daughters, Nancy L. Hertzler of Mechanicsburg and Charlene A. Mahoney of Carlisle; one brother, Donald of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Hawk of Nazareth; eight grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Baltz, who died in 1995.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Sharon Kelly officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
