Born April 22, 1908 in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Steinmetz Nessinger and the widow of Messiah H. Sheetz.
Mrs. Sheetz was a member of Duncannon Assembly of God Church; Duncannon Senior Citizens; and Duncannon Golden Age Club.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Sheetz of Pittsburgh and Ray A. Sheetz of Ft. Myers, Fla.; a daughter, Dolly Ward of Lititz; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-granchildren.
Services will be held at the Ronald Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

Lois Jean Elicker Trimmer, 73, of Lewisberry, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1924 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph K. and Mary Belle Shettel Elicker.
Mrs. Trimmer, a foster parent for Newborns for York County Children's Services, was a charter and present member and historian for Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg; past president of Mt. Zion PTA, Etters; past president of Bethany Village Auxiliary, Mechancisburg; 12th District Choir; past president of the United Methodist Women; and a lay member of the Central Pennsylvania Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
She was also a former receptionist at Bethany Village; former organist and choir director at Goldsboro Church of God and Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church; tour director for Bethany Village; and a Sunday school teacher at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Kilmore Trimmer; three sons, Paul Richard of Shawnee, Kan., Thomas Lee of Lewisberry and Rev. Michael Gene of State College; a daughter, Patricia A. Sherick of Middletown; three brothers, James D. Elicker of Harrisburg, Robert E. Elicker of Yorba Linda, Calif. and Charles Kenneth Elicker of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three half sisters, Ruth Capp of Penbrook, Dorothy Reilly of Camp Hill and Joann Drake of Poplar Branch, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Brindle will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry at the convenience of the family.

Christopher A. Imler, 23, of Duncannon, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997.
Born Jan. 20, 1974 in Harrisburg, he was a son of Allan and Shirley Huber Imler of Duncannon.
Mr. Imler was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and an employee of Rich Foods, Harrisburg. He was a United States Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Brian Stephen of Duncannon; two sisters, Ann Louise Chubb of Newport and Barbara Marie Imler of Duncannon; and a maternal grandfather, Frank Huber of West Chester.
The Rev. Irene Freburg Dussaq will officiate Monday's Services. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Watts Township.
Pearl E. Wolport, 77, of 5720 Overly Drive, Alexandria, Va. and formerly of New Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997 in Woodbine Rehabilitation and Health Center, Alexandria.
Born April 17, 1920 in Mt. Carmel, she is the widow of Clark L. Holman and Clair E. Wolport.
Mrs. Wolport was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and a retired employee of Carson Long Institute.
Surviving are two sons, Clark L. Holman II of Pennsylvania and Charles E. Holman of Alexandria; a brother, Charles Bakey of Gettysburg; a sister, Thursa Sanders of McClean, Va.; and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Robert P. Knight will officiate the services. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Della H. Bentz Byers, 97, of Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Township, and formerly of Dillsburg,died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 at the home.
Born Feb. 14, 1900 in Warrington Township, York County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen Wonders Bentz and the widow of the late Russell I. Byers.
She was a housewife and a member of Barren's United Lutheran Church, Dillsburg, its Willing Worker Sunday school class, and its choir.
She is survived by two sons, Wilfred L. and Ray E. of Dillsburg; a daughter, Levina Trump of Shiremanstown; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The Rev. M. Benson Paull will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Dillsburg Cemetery.

Verna Mae Goss, 87, of Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, formerly of Clearfield County, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1910 in West Decatur, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Minnie McLarren Shimmel.
A graduate of Philipsburg High School, Mrs. Goss was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for over 40 years.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, W. Leslie Goss; a brother, Wilbur Shimmel of Philipsburg; and two sisters, Martha Hunter of Columbus, Ohio and Hester Condo of Philipsburg.

Clara E. Hoffer, 90, of the Church of God Home, Carlisle, formerly of Camp Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 in the nursing home.
Born Jan. 10, 1907 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Joshua and Persidan Kopenheffer Hoffer.
A seamstress in a former garment factory, Miss Hoffer was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her foster brother, the Rev. William Snyder of Mechanicsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Brouse and Dorothy Hoffer, and two brothers, Lester Allen Hoffer and Paul Hoffer.

M. Florence Mentzer, 85, of 151 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, formerly of Biglerville, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 in Gettysburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1912 in York Springs, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Snyder Lobaugh and the widow of Melvin F. Mentzer Sr., who died in 1985.
She was a seasonal employee of the former C. H. Musselman Co., Pet Milk Inc., Gardners, for a number of years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, East Berlin.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Kuhn of Biglerville and Clara E. Shriver of Gettysburg; four sons, David C. and Melvin F. Jr. of Gardners, Ralph E. of Arendtsville and Richard E. of McSherrystown; four sisters, Pearl A. Melhorn of Hanover, Elsie Wire of Spring Grove, Irene Wire of Thomasville and Grace Kemper of York Springs; four brothers, Adam Lobaugh and Guy Lobaugh of Aspers, Raymond Lobaugh of Newburg and Melvin Lobaugh of South Windsor, Conn.; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Charles D. Diegel and the Rev. Ralph E. Mentzer will officiate at Wednesday's services. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery.
James C. Murray, 86, of 10 Brian Drive, Carlisle, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 in his home.
Born Sept. 29, 1911 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late James C. and Hannah Maghran Murray and the widower of Ruth Koons Murray.
Mr. Murray was a chief warrant officer for the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War. Retiring in 1960 from the Army, he also was a retired employee of the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot, Hampden Township.
He attended Mary Queen of Peace Parish at Carlisle Barracks and was a member of VFW Post 477 and American Legion Post 101, both of Carlisle, and the Retired Officer's Association.
Surviving are his daughter, Claire M. Brehm of Carlisle; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James C. Murray.
The Rev. Louis Schmit, chaplain of Carlisle Barracks, will be celebrant at Wednesday's service. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
