Born Jan. 6, 1905 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late George Sr. and Silva McKelvey Loper and the widow of John Sullenberger.
Mrs. Sullenberger attended Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Faithful Daughters Sunday School class. She was a member of Duncannon Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Duncannon Golden Age Club, Pythian Sisters, and Sons and Daughters of Liberty.
Surviving are a daughter, Genevie Graybill of Selinsgrove; a sister, Harriet Weldon of Carlisle; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Dorothy Mitchell officiated at today's service. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.
Funeral services for Mary Lu Thompson, 89, formerly of Carlisle, will be held in Valrico, Fla.
She died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997 in her home in Valrico, Fla.
Born in 1908 in Duluth, Minn., she was the widow of William J. Thompson, who died in 1994.
A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan College, she was employed with her husband operating the Thompson Clothing Store, Carlisle.
She was a member of Allison United Methodist Church, Carlisle, past president of Carlisle Civic Club and was a member of doll clubs in the Carlisle area and also in Florida. She also was involved with the Girl Scouts.
Surviving are three sons, William J. of Carlisle, Kenneth D. of Wexford and Robert M. of Lakewood Colo.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services in Carlisle will be announced at a future date.
Services for Harold L. "Len" Bower, Jr., 50, of Marie Avenue, Lewisberry, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland.
He died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997 in his home.
Born Jan. 9, 1947 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Dorothy J. Launse Bower and the late Harold L. Bower, Sr.
Mr. Bower was chief of office services for the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, Harrisburg; and was active with Boy Scouts of America, Troop 284, Lewisberry.
He was a member of Susquehanna Waterfowlers Association; and a board member of Silver Lake Community Association, Lewisberry.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Diane A. Parson Bower; a daughter, Danielle J. Bower at home; a son, Bryan L. at home; a sister, Carol A. Loucks of York; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Richard Feeser and the Rev. Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller will officiate Friday's service. Private burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Marie B. Borbst, 75, of 135 Yorkshire Drive, Lower Allen Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1922 in Pottsville, she is a daughter of the late George and Mary Bambrick.
Mrs. Brobst was retired from the former Commonwealth National Bank, Camp Hill and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are her husband, Richard D. Brobst; three sons, Richard B. of Orwigsburg, Timothy J. of Carlisle and Robert J. of Chambersburg; two daughters, Kathleen C. of Carlisle and Patricia M. Smith of Etters; a brother, Vincent Bambrick of Pottsville; a sister, Kathleen Bretz of Verona; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Chester P. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Township.

Ruth M. Julian, 89, of Lower Allen Township, died Wednesday, November 26, 1997 in East Berlin at the home of her granddaughter.
Born March 8, 1908 in Fairview Township, York County, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha Grist Slaseman and the widow of Andrew Julian, Sr.
Mrs. Julian was a retired cashier for the former Park Cafeteria, Harrisburg and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Allen Township.
Surviving are two brothers, Milton D. Slaseman of Panama City, Fla. and Elmer J. Slaseman of Camp Hill; five sisters, Bertha Cook and Viola Taylor, both of York Haven, Gertrude Stoner of Dover, Martha Cassel of York and Linda J. Stone of New Cumberland; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with Pastor Joel E. Everhart officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township.

Mr. Kennedy was retired from Eberly Lumber Company, Mechanicsburg and a retired bus driver for the Mechanicsburg Area School District.
He was a member of the Continental Squares, York.
Surviving are his wife, Frances J. Hollinger Kennedy; two sisters, Helen Kennedy Lear of Mechanicsburg and Mary K. Barrick of Carlisle; and three brothers, Ralph A. of Camp Hill, Albert E. of Mechanicsburg and Norman of Dillsburg.

Michael Robert McHugh, 31, of 17 Annendale Drive, Carlisle died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997 in Carlisle.
Born July 28, 1966 in Carlisle he was the son of James E. and Connie Lou Billing McHugh of Carlisle.
He was a 1985 graduate of Boiling Springs High School.
He was a former manager of Pinch-A-Penny Pool Supply Store, West Palm Beach, Fla.
He was a member of Elks Lodge #578, Carlisle, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299, Carlisle, Big Spring Fish and Game Association, Carlisle Tavern Pool League and the Midway Scotch Doubles Pool League.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Adrienne E. Townsend of Newville; a fiancee, Nancy Brenizer of Carlisle.
He was preceded in death by a brother Steven Paul McHugh, December 10, 1990.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with the Rev. James A. Gilchrist officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, N. Middleton Twp.

Born March 3, 1904 in Hunters Run, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John Andrew and Sara Starry Richwine and the widow of Gordon B. Nicolls.
Mrs. Nicolls was retired from the former Blough Wagner Manufacturing and a member of Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, Upper Allen Township.
Surviving are two daughters, Alma Dorsey of Dillsburg and Lydia Nicolls of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Meriam Harbaugh of Gettysburg; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in her church, 1425 S. Market St., Mechanicsburg with the Rev. Robert Ohliger officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
