He died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997 in his home.
Born Sept. 8, 1914 in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late Charles M. and Bertha A. Rider Goodhart.
Mr. Goodhart, a United States Army veteran of World War II, was a self employed plumber and heating contractor retiring in 1979.
He was a 1933 graduate of Shippensburg High School.
He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg where he was a former member of the church council; the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie No. 1299, Carlisle; Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post No. 223; Durff-Kuhn VFW Post No. 6168 and the AARP Chapter No. 2525, all of Shippensburg; and a life member of the BPOE No. 600, Chambersburg.
Surviving are his wife, Esther M. "Bobbie" Cressler Goodhart; a son, Charles C. of Shippensburg; a daughter, Virginia L. "Ginger" Virkler of Linden, Mich.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Mouer.
The Rev. Bonnie B. Hoffman will officiate Wednesday's services. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Spring Hill Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday in the church.

Funeral services for Robert W. Johnston Sr., 68, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Florida.
He died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997.
Born July 25, 1929 in Shippensburg, he was a retired carpenter and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; a son, Robert W. Jr.; three daughters, Debra Tate, Sherry Harrell and Lori Bennett; three brothers, James, Melvin and Pete; five sisters, Helen Turon, Gail Riley, Julia Naugle, Jane Frohm and Peggy Killiam; and seven grandchildren.
The Rev. John Buchheimer will officiate at services. Burial will follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.

Born Oct. 12, 1930 in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Michael and Caroline Mikesic Kalcic. He was a retired employee of Roadway Co., Mechanicsburg, who enjoyed nature and gardening.
He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Romanchhock of Camas, Wash.; seven sisters, Anna Pechar, Catherine Oshansky, Barbara Cassata, Rose Nyanko and Dorothy Chance, all of Johnstown, Mary Sharac of Holmes, N.Y., and Caroline Barone of Winter Park, Fla.; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Joseph.
The Rev. Charles Amershek will officiate at Wednesday's services. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.

Born Jan. 11, 1938 in Upper Frankford Township, he was a son of the late Wilbur Charles and Janet Irene Piper Lehman and resided all his life in Upper Frankford Township.
He was employed by the Carlisle Tire and Wheel Co. for 39 years and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He also was a Protestant and a member of the AARP.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janice F. Hoffmaster Lehman; a son, Dwight D. Lehman at home; a daughter, Sherry L. Aby of Newville; three brothers, Gerald and Barry of Carlisle and Steve of Newville; four sisters, Joann Palmer, Carol Jumper, Delores Coulson and Bonnie Mountz, all of Carlisle; one grandson; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Iva O'Brien will officiate at Wednesday's services. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

He died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born June 18, 1905, he was the son of the late Lee and Rose Coultrider Miller and the widower of Kathryn B. Miller. He was the former owner and operator of Miller's Gulf Station, Harrisburg.
He is survived by two sons, William R. of Harrisburg and Lawerence E. of Wyckoff, N.J.; two daughters, Betty M. Brown of Burgess, Va. and Nancy M. Ortenzio of Lemoyne; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill. Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, is handling arrangements.

Services for John F. Motaka, 76, of 2600 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, Fla., will be held at the convenience of the family.
He died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997 in Stuart, Fla.
Born Nov. 17, 1921 in Williamstown, son of the late Frank and Emma Evans Motaka, he was a retired missile maintenance technician for the U.S. Government.
Mr. Motaka was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He earned the Pacific Theater ribbon with two stars, the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the VFW, both in Williamstown.
Surviving are two sisters, Catherine M. Bonawitz of Carlisle and Helen M. Buffington of Dillsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Indiantown National Gap Cemetery, East Hanover Township. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Born May 1, 1923 in Lebanon County, a daughter of the late Silas and Amy Houser Keller Bross, she was a homemaker and a member of Hades Church of the Brethren, Shady Grove, for 61 years.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, Kenneth P. Wildeson; three daughters, Edna Mae Musselman of Greencastle, Ada R. Strite and Fay M. Alleman, both of Chambersburg; a son, Harold E. Wildeson of Chambersburg; four sisters, Ada Bross of Manheim, Naomi Patches of Lebanon, Anna Wise of Chambersburg and Eva Stenger of Shady Grove; two brothers, Jacob Bross and Caleb Bross of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Silas Keller Jr.
The Rev. Dean Gearhart, the Rev. Donal Clapper and the Rev. George Martin will officiate at today's services. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery, Quincy.

Ruth M. Corbin, 84, formerly of West Penn Street, Carlisle, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Township.
Born Oct. 18, 1913 in Clear Spring, Md., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Carrie K. Howard Taylor and the widow of James E. Corbin Sr., who died in 1976.
Mrs. Corbin resided most of her life in Carlisle. She attended school in Gettysburg and was formerly employed by the late Donald and Marianna Hayward. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member and past president of the Missionary Circle.
Surviving are six sons, Charles Cross of Pittsburgh, Jerry Corbin of Cleveland, Tenn., Donald Cross, George Corbin and David Corbin of Carlisle and Jack Corbin of Bellefonte; two daughters, Vivian M. Coleman of Carlisle and Karen V. White of York; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven D. Corbin, who died in 1975.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Dr. William E. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Carlisle.
