Born Feb. 18, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Quigley Sweiger. She was the widow of Boyd Yost.
Surviving are one son, Wayne E. Yost of Camp Hill; one sister, Viola Radabaugh of Camp Hill; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Lester S. Yost.

Services for Eber J. Creamer, 87, formerly of Country Club Road, Carlisle, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
He died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997 in Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born Dec. 5, 1910 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Lawrence E. and Maude Franklin Creamer. He was the widower of Queen M. McGowan Creamer, who died June 15, 1994.
A 1930 graduate of Shippensburg High School, Mr. Creamer retired in 1976 from AMP Inc. after 25 years of service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Carlisle, its men's Bible class and Carlisle Elks Lodge.
Surviving are one son, Lawrence W. of Carlisle; one daughter, Sherrie L. Maple of Coshocton, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Michael V. Minnix will officiate at Monday's service. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Graveside services for Vernon O. Baer, 80, of RR1 New Bloomfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bloomfield Cemetery, New Bloomfield. He died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born May 2, 1917 in Elliottsburg, he was a son of the late Grover C. and Vanetta Fleisher Baer. He was the widower of Amy Reapsome Baer.
Mr. Baer was a retired farmer and a Spring Township supervisor.
Surviving are one daughter, Nancy B. Hauf of RR2 Elliottsburg; five brothers, Eugene of New Bloomfield, Grover Jr. of Marysville, Carl of Elliottsburg, Donald of Annville and Kenneth of Shermans Dale; three sisters, Grace Fuller and Faye Loy, both of Shermans Dale, and Miriam Kitner of New Bloomfield; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest.

He died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born July 28, 1928 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Mervin and Edna Beaston Hockenberry and the widower of Elsie Gayman Hockenberry who died in 1989.
He resided most of his life in the Newville area.
A Protestant, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1990 from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation with 17 years of service and was formerly employed by the Carlisle Cement Co.
He was a member of the Minnequa Club in Shippensburg.
Survived by four sons, Norman J. Jr. and Terry L. of Carlisle, Edward L. and Thomas D. of Newville; two daughters, Linda K. Starner of Shippensburg and Susan J. Reichenbach of Newville; a brother, Victor O. of Carlisle; a sister, Florence Peiper of Enola; six grandchildren; and one step-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Zola Richardson and Esther Chestnut.
The Rev. Wayne Ellis will officiate at Sunday's services. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Upper Frankford Brick Church Cemetery.

Martha M. Ammarell, 91, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Boiling Springs, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997 in Charlotte, N.C.
Born Nov. 29, 1906 in Boiling Springs, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Gutshall Herr.
A Lutheran, she was a retired employee of Home Insurance Co. in New York City, where she was employed as a supervisor in accounting.
She is survived by a son, Clyde E. Snyder of New York City; a daughter, Phyllis E. Kenz of Charlotte; a brother, Arthur Herr of Carlisle; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vincent Snyder.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monroe Township.

He died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997 at Michael Manor, Gettysburg.
Born Aug. 14, 1904 in Fairfield, a son of the late John and Mary Cecil Baker, he had been a former employee of Gettysburg Borough, the former C.H. Musselman Co., Pet Milk Inc., Biglerville and Littlestown Shoe Co., from which he retired. He attended Heritage Assembly of God Church, Gettysburg. Mr. Baker is survived by his second wife, Shirley A. Shafer Baker; a daughter, Dolores Cool of Gettysburg; four sons, Ray Baker of Gettysburg, Eugene Baker of California, Charles Baker of York Springs and Bruce Baker of Hanover; two stepdaughters, Hope Baker of Biglerville and Brenda Shull of Arendtsville; three stepsons, Melvin Shull of Mechanicsburg, Daniel Shull of Gettysburg and David Shull of Bonneauville; 20 grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Madeline Lightner, who died in 1966.

Blanche M. Bretzman, 92, of 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born July 18, 1905 in Annapolis, Md., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Amanda Brackett and the widow of Ralph Bretzman, who died in 1986.
A former seasonal employee of the former C. H. Musselman Co., Biglerville for many years, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gettysburg Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Lillian L. Becker of Aspers and Betty E. Speelman of Irishtown; a son, Ralph Bretzman of Carlisle; a sister, Mary Williams of Annapolis, Md.; a brother, William Brackett of Annapolis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Lee W. Crockett, 58, of RD 1 Elliotsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997 at home.
Born Feb. 19, 1938 in Saville Township, Perry County, to E. Marie McNaughton Crockett Shenk and the late George H. Crockett, he worked for Goodyear Shoe Co., Duncannon Dress Factory and Musselman's Cannery.
He was a member of Landisburg Church of God and Ickesburg Fire Company and Ambulance League.
Survived by his mother, E. Marie Crockett Shenk; two brothers, Wilbur W. of Landisburg and Grant E. of Marysville; three sisters, Mabel I. Stone and Betty J. Sundy of Landisburg and Gladys E. Hartford of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Second and Walnut streets, Newport. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
