Betty J. Rogers, 68, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., died Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired clerk from the former Rea & Derrick Drug Store, Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Fairview Bethel Church of God, New Cumberland where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for fifteen years and Treasurer for twenty-five years.
She is survived by her husband, James D. Rogers; four sons, James R. of Mechanicsburg, Bruce E. of Duncannon, Roy E. of Camp Hill, and Carl M. of Carlisle.; eight sisters, Mary J. Bordner of Selinsgrove, Edith E. Hackenberg of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Esther N. Landis of Port Treverton, Deanna M. Horvath of Edgewater, FL, Rose A. Goodling of Liverpool, Judy A. Wertz of New Cumberland, Linda L. Zimmerman of Kreamer, PA, and Karen E. Auman of Selinsgrove, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Saturday at her church. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Park, Fairview Twp.
Viewings will be from 6-8pm Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. www.parthemore.com and 9:30-10:15am Saturday at the church.

John R. Roller
John R. Roller, 7, of Etters, Newberry Twp. died Thursday 8/30/01 in his residence following an extended illness.
He was entering the multi-age class as Second Grade Leader at Newberry Elementary School, Newberry Twp. He was a Red Land Tee Ball Oriole in the Red Land Little League Baseball Association. He was a baptized member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Etters and also attended First Church of the Nazarene, Orbisonia and the Church of God of Prophecy, Shirleysburg.
He was born 10/26/93 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis & Marcia (Booher) Roller; a brother Bradley R. Roller and a sister Ashley D. Roller, both at home; his paternal grandparents, John F. & Dorothy (Anderson) Roller of Etters; his maternal grandmother, Mildred L. (Duncan) Booher of Rockhill Furnace, PA; and 2 paternal great grandmothers, Helen E. Roller of Etters and Bertha Anderson of Lancaster; many cousins, aunts & uncles.
Services will be held 11 am Tuesday 9/4/2001 in his church. Burial will be in Tri County Memorial Gardens, Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be from 10-11am Tuesday in the church.

I. Paul Sharretts, 73, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
A Korean Army Veteran, he was the former owner/operator of Charles D. Snyder and Son, Harrisburg and Sharretts Plating, Emigsville. He was a graduate of John Harris High School and Temple University. He was a member Communtiy United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, Perseverance Lodge No. 28, F & AM, Harrisburg, Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Temple, and Past President of Zembo Luncheon Club and Lancaster Branch of the American Electroplating Society. He was a past board member of Southern PA National Bank and the former Dauphin Deposit Bank.
He was born October 23, 1927 in Harrisburg to the late Irvin L. and Carrie (Sterrett) Sharretts.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Fickes Sharretts, two sons, Timothy B. of Camp Hill and Thomas P. of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Mary Leah Anspach of New Cumberland; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at his church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45am Saturday at the church.

Michael J. Shope
Michael J. Shope, 38, of Lewisberry, died Saturday, July 7, 2001 at his home.
A graduate of Red Land High School and Computer Learning Center, Mechanicsburg, he also attended Penn State University, York campus. He was a member of Warrington Gun and Kennel Club, Wellsville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was born May 6, 1963 in Mechanicsburg.
A son, Michael J. Shope, Jr. of New Cumberland; his parents, Jack R. Shope of York Haven and Mary R. Egenrieder Shope of Lewisberry; two brothers, David Shope of Etters and Daniel Shope of Wellsville; and a sister, Rose Beres of Ashland Wisconsin, survive him.

Kathryn H. Stetler
Kathryn H. Stetler, 86, of Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp., Mechanicsburg, PA, and formerly of Wormleysburg, died Friday, September 21, 2001 at her residence.
She was a retired secretary for Principal Financial Group, Mechanicsburg; and she as a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Wormleysburg.
She was born on April 5, 1915, in Newberry Township, PA, to the late William and Viola (Kister) Hartman.
She was the widow of Melvin Stetler. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra S. Stouffer, Media, PA, and June K. Shamenek-O'Donnell, Mechanicsburg; 4 grand children and 1 great grand child.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. William F. Gettins, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberry Township.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Chester L. "Chet" Suter, 75, of New Cumberland, PA, died Thursday, July 19, 2001 at home.
He was a retired Customer Contact Representative for Pennsylvania Power and Light Company, Harrisburg; a former employee of Saturn, Harrisburg; a protestant; loved cars, airplanes, and all different kinds of music.
He was born April 9, 1926 in Williamsburg, PA to the late Charles and Ora (Shultz) Suter.
He is survived by his wife Janet L. (Showalter) Suter; a son Mark L Suter, New Cumberland; a daughter Anita L. Suter, New Cumberland; and a brother, W. Raymond Suter, Williamstown, NJ.
Funeral services will be held 11am Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. James Schambach, Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill, officiating.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be 10-11am Monday at the funeral home.

Betty J. Tennis, 75, of West Shore health and Rehabillitation Center, Camp Hill, died Saturday, July 7, 2001 at the center.
She was born August 27, 1925 in Royalton to the late Clayton E. Tennis, Sr. and Emma J. Ridley Tennis.
A brother, Clayton E. "Buzz" Tennis, Jr.; survives her; two sisters, Mildred L. Rudy of Newberrytown and Doris J. Barber of Mechanicsburg; eight nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
